And OJ, you think they might revisit that Dinwiddie/Kuzma swap that was supposedly talked about around the trade deadline.
Nets play so free I think Kuzma would actually be solid there. Like the way Jeff Green contributed off the bench for them. I think the Lakers probably should do that especially if he would sign for a deal money wise that Kuz was all that had to be traded.

It's a tough spot because it's a trade that could potentially make the Nets just harder for them to beat. I know so many are down on him, but I think he has potential to be better scorer than he's shown and even when he's playing poorly he still has the random nights where he can get 30. And the little parts of his game like making better decisions, playing smarter defense, making some hustle plays are finally rounding out too.

That said Dinwiddie fits a bigger need for them, will only be two years older, and the making the Nets better thing only applies if both teams make the finals. And it definitely makes the Lakers better because they don't need more help at the Bron and AD spot. So I think yeah, if Kuz isn't packaged off in a move for a guy who gets a bigger contract and Spencer will sign for a dollar amount that makes it basically and even swap I think they Lakers would do it.

I like that substantially more than the Lakers trading for Kemba rumors.

I'd prefer signing Schroder than trading away assets to get Dinwiddie who's coming back from serious injuries and isn't a good shooter.

Mavericks are closing in on hiring Kidd as the next Head Coach... For reference, Mike Budenholzer, who's getting clowned by the entire basketball world for his ineptitude, took over Kidd's core roster and brought them from the 7 seed to the 1 seed in one season...

We'll see, but bridges may have been burned between Schroder and the organization.

Possibly true, but they could still sign Schroder too.

From what I’ve read on ProBasketballTalk, he has a lot of strong relationships with players throughout the league, including Luka, which is a good thing I guess and also Kidd.

Both Cuban, Michael Finley, who will be working next to him and Jason Kidd have all signed off on it.

Don’t think anything comes of it but Marc Spears made a funny point about how when the Wolves hired their coach, the Coaches Association, of which Carlisle is the president, put out a statement about the disappointment that the Wolves failed to “conduct a thorough and transparent search of candidates from a wide range of diverse backgrounds”. Will be interesting to see if Carlisle puts out a statement against his own hiring lol.

I'm looking forward to the potential draft trades. I expect teams like GS to try to maximize their title window by making a trade. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to trade the two lottery picks and Wiggins for a star. Or young teams trying to accelerate their rebuild.

I don’t know what stars are going to be on the market this year. I don’t see it being as many rumored names as previous seasons
