Okay my list may not be great but im just trying to get my point across. There needs to be an age limit. The reason people come out of high school is to be immediate impact players not to ride a bench. They need to get to go to college. They will prob start or get great playing time, they can work out at the schools great gyms and learn life lessons. High Schoolers are basically outcast's after the game. You really cant hang with the the old guys cuz they hav families, and the 21+ guys are doing things that they may be to young to legally do.

Anyway age limit would defenetly benefit the league and help more deserving player get roster spots. If you look at the successful coaches of the nba lenny wilkens, larry brown, phil jackson, and george karl. Look at there coaching philosophies. They are very sucessful because they really did not play or have young guys on there team. They preach fundamentals, defense, discipline, and are leaders. They dont wont to bother themselves with young high schoolers who dont know the fundamentals and they have to teach it to them like the kids they are. Most to all high schoolers in the nba becasue of potential and not sucess.

This is the dumbest reason I've heard of for excluding high schoolers from entering the draft. They can learn more of life's lessons if they are out on there own so that has nothing to do with anything, why do the high school players have to hang out with everyone after the game? They will be in great gyms if they are in the nba. If the nba has such a problem with high schoolers then they don't need to draft them, it's that simple. They are the one's who are picking the players, they could pick college players if they wanted to but they don't.

Again, what does the lack of rivalries have to do with high schoolers? If you don't think that they affect rivalries then why did you put that in your post at all? Anyway, the main reason why playoff teams don't have alot high school players is because most of the teams that draft high school players were bad teams in the first place. It's not like there's a team with all high school players and that's why they lose, all teams have veterans on it. Going by your logic, I could say that the veterans are dragging the teams down and that they should be cut.

From then players perspetive,why would they be against it?I would think that some vets might lose some jobs to HS rookie's.

No one will get fired because they don't draft someone who turned out to be great, the main reason why the gm would be fired is if they consistently showed that they passed on great players and didn't sign good players. It's their own fault that they draft them. If they get a bust then they will be more likely to be fired. I guess since they can't control themselves, they need to scout better.

No one will get fired because they don't draft someone who turned out to be great, the main reason why the gm would be fired is if they consistently showed that they passed on great players and didn't sign good players. yim not jus talkin bout high school players. Young playes in particular eventhough high schoolers make up the majority. HS players not on playoff teams is not necessarily relevant to the draft with all the trades that have happened in the past. a couple of this years hs players were drafted by playoff teams.

SO then why are these playoff teams drafting young players since you don't think that teams can win with them? And if you believe that young players and young teams don't win anything then you have no idea what you're talking about, which really wouldn't be a surprise.
