    Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

Every league is the same. You'll get these crazy rumors and making it seem like so much happens, and it almost never delivers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure most of those names were discussed at some point, but that's nothing out of the ordinary. If a GM isn't discussing every name, they're not doing their job. Nobody is safe at any moment.

Wonder what role team financials are playing this year compared to previous years.

I'm mixed on the Simmons for Harden trade.
I am kind of a low key 76er fan and and at this point just feel like Harden is a team chemistry killer. On the one hand I don't think that is the player they should pursue (think going after Beal makes far more sense), but I also have a suspicion that they don't have any other path to getting a player with the perceived value as Harden.

But Cleveland is really putting together a solid team for the foreseeable future. They're playing the long game and I like it.

        I agree.

Out of the big 3(Lillard, Beal, and Harden), I'd rather take Beal. Especially with all 3, you're going to have to pay them after this year(Lillard's 2 year extension). Yes. It is mostly off of age and regression concerns. But with Lillards abdomen issues, Beal becomes the preferred guy. I agree that Harden has shown, that once sh** hits the fan, he starts up with the bs and he just goes through the motions.

But, I still wouldn't mind taking the team approach than than 2 superstar approach. All 3 at the time were "The Man" for a long stretch of time on their teams. If they go to Philly, it'll be clearly Joel's team. They don't "need" Ben for a sign and trade situation. Even if we get one of those big 3, we still have clear needs. So I would rather do a deal that makes us a complete team

We will see what the details are, but you would think New Orleans would want someone that's not a score first player that can play defense. I'm guessing the expiring's of Sato and Hart will be involved and some of the late 1st

Yeah, Portland intentions is to clear up cap space and try to reset the roster around Dame

"Portland is finalizing acquiring Josh Hart, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Tomas Satoransky and draft compensation in the CJ McCollum trade, sources said."

I can't wait for everyone in the media to say what a amazing move New Orleans made again. Despite the move making no sense and they just acquiring pieces that don't fit with Zion. They clearly have no plan on what they are doing on building a team and just making up stuff as they go along.

You let Ball go for nothing then trade away assets for C.J who makes a lot of $ as a 3rd option.

Would you build around a player who’s sat out a year and when you have no idea what type of player they’ll be when/if they return?

I wouldn't choice but to build around him as Ingram/ Jonas / C.J might not make it out of the play in tournament.

Looks like Larry Nance is also headed to NO.

A rare trade where I’m left wondering “did BOTH teams lose the trade?”. I don’t understand this deal at all.
