    Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

Also, I heard Windhorst talk about the Lakers not wanting to add too much salary and that money is "always a problem" with the Lakers. Just sell the team Jeanie, I don't wanna hear about money problems and Los Angeles Lakers in the same sentence.

      Harden will wear #1.

I think it is more Harden adjusting than anything. That whole dribble the clock out than either chuck a shot or pass playstyle isn't going to work with Embiid. With Harden on the court, it should be reduce the amount of double teams Joel sees. And it'll be nice to have a player who can actually make a post entry pass lol. Joel isn't a roller and he has said recently he isn't a lob catcher. Joel mostly does the small rolls in PNR. But if Joel and Harden can develop a good 2 man game, that'll be deadly. Harden should help Harris. Harris is better when he has a facilitator and you don't want Harris trying to create for himself. Harris shouldn't be a ball stopper anymore when Harden and Joel is on the court. Matisse/Green will be just be spot up shooters in the corner. The key is how they use Maxey when the starters are in. Harden helps by allowing Maxey being more aggressive. But he does need the touches to be able to go downhill. Harris and Maxey role with the starting lineup will likely be to Shoot-Drive-Pass. Doc just needs to do a better job of staggering starters and stop with all the all-bench lineups. Shake Milton should be coming back soon. But, the Furkan point guard minutes need to stop asap.

Fully prepared for Sixers to take 25-30 FTs a game lol.

And for whatever is worth, I don't think Embiid will shy away from letting Harden know when he ****s up. "Hey Bearded Man, enough with the dribble-dribble"

I’ll go on record and say that the duo of Harden and Embiid will work out great.

Both teams are better. Nets just need a healthy KD. Curry protects against Harris not coming back.

I'm going to be impatient when it comes to seeing Simmons on the court.

What kind of shape is he in I wonder.

Most likely isn't going to start playing until after All Star Break when KD comes back.

I know that a lot of the NBA players dont like the play in tournament, but this trade deadline feels like it was a direct result of it. Teams like the Pelicans and Kings normally would fold after the allstar break. Now, there's some intrigue outside of the top teams. I actually want to watch teams I had no interest in a day ago. I know they still suck but I think that's good for the league overall.

I can see that. Those types of teams would either try to sell off or stand pat just to tank. I still don't think it should be seen as an accomplishment. But, this should lead to more competitive games. Also might see less 50 win teams with more teams actively trying to win

                        Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

24 hours later, I’m not as upset at this situation as I was before. I can understand SOME of his frustrations but the stuff like quitting in the middle of a game and/or using a hamstring injury as an excuse to force a move somewhere else will never sit right with me. Just like the way he forced himself out of Houston by fighting with teammates, showing up late because you wanted to be in Vegas.

We can’t sit here and talk/fuss about guys giving effort all the time but then brush this off like it’s nothing or that he’s justified in doing that.

That being said, I hope he finds his happiness and can have the success in Philly that he never had a chance to have here. I hope he finds a way to ditch this style of just isolating the ball until the last possible second before passing it off. He gets to go from playing with one legit MVP candidate to another one in Embiid and the last thing he needs to do is start limiting/taking touches from Embiid or having guys like Maxey or Harris or Green(he still any good)just stand around watching him.

We already know he’s going to get his FTs since that’s a part of his game but he needs to find a way to get that 3pt shot back(since those are the only 2 types of shots he takes). As we’ve seen in the last year, he’s not blowing by guys anymore especially 2 hamstring “injuries” in less than a year and that he’s still not healed from the first one according to him but if he can actually buy in and take advantage of Embiid’s constant double teams, it should give him the same looks he was getting when he was out there with KD.

Another good thing with him going to Philly is that he’ll actually be able to “hide” on Defense so hopefully that means his “Olè!” Defensive days are behind him. But Will, I hope it works out better for y’all than it did for us and that y’all do everything possible except come up short of a championship and continue wasting Embiid’s years until those injuries catch up! And when Ben comes back to Philly(I think he’s going to play and it would be ridiculous of him not to play that game)that his first shot is a knock down pull up 3 in transition that paves the way for a Nets win [emoji1476][emoji1478]
