I've lost count how many times the Raptors have 'rebranded' or redesigned their jerseys or logo(s). Give it a rest and stick with one identity for a while.

Either go back to the original pinstripe look or something similar to the DeRozan/Lowry era, but either way just give this constant changing and tweaking a rest. (And their most rest set is ***, IMO.)







I hope that his new job allows him better work-life balance, otherwise that statement he sent out was a load of crap.

Reading it without knowing about his new situation had me thinking the dude was retiring to be with his family. [emoji1]

Yeah, it came across as him wanting to spend more time with the family. Nope lol, just a different level of grinding. But he was pretty much on call 24/7 and probably some sports politics he had to deal with as well

Man, my fandom will go down the toilet if they ever decide to do that. So many iconic jersey sets and ones that need a tweak (Lakers) to be 'iconic' again.

Utah Hockey team announcing streaming service options for fans.

Their premium tier combines the Utah NBA and NHL games (with alt cast) AND gets you 2 free tickets to a game of your choice, all for $175 a YEAR. Sounds like a great deal. Works out to $25 a month to watch games while also getting tickets. The tickets alone for the seats they'll let you chose from is probably half the cost of that to begin with.

For those who dont already, I wonder how many more cities would opt for their own services to combine NHL, NBA and possibly MLB games all in one giant service. Less and less people care about sports channels and recap shows, sports talk shows and all that. Just pay for the games and that's it.

They had an interview yesterday in Canada with Elliotte Friedman (the hockey version of Woj, maybe with even more connections) and he was talking about that "top insider" lifestyle.

Might have been a Woj interview he referenced about how you have to be on it 24/7, you're literally showering with your phone right by the door in case that text comes in from one of your sources about something, there's really no offseason or break time for you. You might not be working, but you're still in that mindset all the time, ready to jump right back in to work the second you need to.

Dikembe Mutombo passes away at the age of 58 due to brain cancer

He's one of the few guys who has a hall of fame career but I can't say which team I remember him most for. 5 seasons with Denver, Houston, Atlanta, but then he played in the finals with the Nets and 76ers.

I remember watching this series and moment like it was yesterday. Even if it was a best 3-out-of-5 it was still crazy to see a Supersonics team that good upset. And Dikembe's embracing of the ball after the horn sounded is still iconic, IMO.
