Originally posted by The SoldierHint, there's another player on the Heat. He draws the most double teams on the Heat. Blaming Lebron for Damon Jones having a bad year is rediculous. Is it Lebron's fault he had 100 fewer rebounds? Or that his shooting percentage dropped nearly .100 points?
Would you take Haslem over Lebron? Antoine Walker? Posey?Rather be dead than RED!

Re: Am I the only one who would take Wade over Lebron?
What kind of question is this?
I would imagine his percentage dropping has something to do with him not getting open shots...Wade will take you to the hole and then kick it out for three, it seemed like they did that quite a bit last year when Jones was on the team. I didnt really watch the heat all that much this year but it would seem that maybe LBJ was a bit more outside oriented, rather than taking it to the hole and kicking it out for Jones. LBJ cant be 100% to blame for Jones drop off, but he should shoulder some of the blame...
Either way it has nothing to do with Lebron. When you compare the 8 highest FG shooters on the Cavs by shooting percentage, Damon Jones finished...8th. Hughes didn't have a problem shooting, nor did Marshall, or Snow, or Murray. I'm going to put this one on the back of Damon Jones himself.Comment

Re: Am I the only one who would take Wade over Lebron?
Jones didnt play with Wade in 04...He played with the Bucks. I get what you are saying though. Shaq is a shadow of his former self though, yet still draws more defenders then he should...Rather be dead than RED!

Originally posted by nickbThats not fair to say, look at Damon Jones last year, then look at him this year...Last year he looks like hes almost good enough to make the all star team playing alongside Wade. This year playing with Lebron, he didnt play quite as well. Just some food for thought.Comment

But when someone makes a claim that the Heat win the title if they had Lebron instead of Wade, im gonna try to defeat that argumentComment

Originally posted by nickbNo doubt I have a huge bias as far as Wade goes, Ill be the first to admit that. But when someone makes a claim that the Heat win the title if they had Lebron instead of Wade, im gonna try to defeat that argument. Im trying to say that Wade makes players around him better. By saying that Damon Jones had a better season with Wade then he did with LBJ, imo that proves my point. You may not see it that way, but I was just trying to prove my point.

Originally posted by The SoldierIn reality, you are probably the only person who thinks that the Heat with Lebron wouldn't win. Keep things in perspective, Wade wasn't even voted first team All NBA. He is not the definitive player in the NBA who is far above the competition. He's not Jordan. The Heat isn't just Wade. The Cavs pretty much are Lebron. And Jones did do better with Wade and Shaq. You seem to be forgetting that tiny piece of information.
agreed wade has a great team. is he the leader yes .
are they a championship team without him ? no
are they a lottery team without him? not even close
now ask those same questions about lbj and the cavs-obviously hes the leader
are they a championship team without him ? even with him they arent a championship caliber team because they dont have much talent.
are they a lottery team without him ? without lbj they are in the lottery and guaranteed a top 3 pick .
its really as simple as that. And with the third pick - I made the earth sick

Re: Am I the only one who would take Wade over Lebron?
Originally posted by nickbIts trivial to argue about that. Fact is that Wade did win it with the Heat, Lebron didnt make it to the confrence finals with the Cavs. You should really realize that Shaq isnt his former self either, and in the finals, when it came down to crunch time the Heat were Wade.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Right now, take Lebron off the Cavs and Wade off the Heat. Now look at the lineups. The Heat might be better at every single position.
And that guy who isn't his former self accompanied Lebron on the All NBA First Team, something Wade wasn't on.Comment
