Re: ***Official Detroit Pistons 2007-08 Thread***
Um, what the hell is up with the score keepers? For some reason, they have the Pistons and Knicks scores backward. Seems like the score SHOULD BE 85-48. HOLY SMOKES!! I can't wait until I see OS' front page tomorrow. Mercy. I thought the Bulls had it horrible today against the Hawks. Quite weird how the day got better. I'm glad Zeke got this win out of his guys with so many people riding him hard and his team playing like SH.......Comment

Ugly end to the 2nd quarter against Toronto, but I'm not worried....
I like what I see from Rodney Stuckey, looks like that kid is a steal...and we needed energy from the backup PG, Lindsey can only do so much at his age.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Terrible performance tonight. The Bulls always play the Pistons tough, and they play good D, so I will give them credit. At the same time, the offense was a joke. Save for Chauncey's great third it was awful. Bench has been sub par lately.
Where the hell is Amir Johnson? Tonight was a perfect time to give him some minutes to bring some energy. The goal was to play the bench, and lately that plan seems to have wavered. I dont care what their record is. They can win on the road. Being fresh for the playoff is the most important thing. I don't get it sometimes.Comment

Yeah that was a heart breaker. I figured Detroit would've left with a W if they went into OT, but Shard said "Not so fast".PS: You guys are great.

Like I said in the 1/21 games thread....
This team's in a rut right now, but from what I've seen this year, they just don't have the feel of a title contender. I don't know if it's just the players getting older/losing an edge, or the coach being a complete bumble****, but I just don't feel "it" when I watch them play.Comment

Ya, tough shot by Shard. Rip played good D on him, better shot though. It's weird when the Pistons go on a losing streak. Hopefully they get out of it on Wednesday.Comment

I actually think so too, but Flop hasn't shown me anything to think that he's not going to mess up the rotation in the playoffs again. Guys like Maxiell and Hayes and yes, Afflalo and Stuckey, need to pivotal components if this team is going to come out of the East. IMO this team can take Boston in a 7 game series, but they're going to need to go 9-10 deep to do so. Until Flop proves he can keep them together and rested, I'll have my doubts.Comment

During their great December month the bench was playing alot and contributing. Now not as much. Flip seems to lose confidence in the bench at times. Not sure why after the last two playoffs where the starters were fried. If it is the focal point of the season, then don't waver no matter what is going on during a game or a stretch of games.
Was even puzzled when they said they would shorten the rotation and play Stuckey with the starters more. What was wrong with what Afflalo was doing? They both should get time to lessen Rip and Chauncey's minutes. Where the heck is Amir? They spent alot of money to re-up with him, why is he not getting the experience he needs? He wastes away on the bench. If they bring Webber back, I will puke.
I'll gladly trade losses for bench growth. They can win on the road in the playoffs, home court is not needed. Odds are they wont catch Boston for the #1 seed anyways.Comment

LMAO at Flop. Nice one bro. I like Flip, but sometimes I dont get what he is doing or what the team plan is.

This season is over if Webber is brought back. He was a black hole in the playoffs last year; like Ben, but about a billion times worse on defense. Webber needs to retire.
And I think not getting the #1 seed might be the chip on the shoulder this team needs. In 04 and 05 Indiana and Miami got the #1 seed, and the Pistons beat them. 06 and 07 the Pistons get it, and get knocked off by Miami and Cleveland. Maybe being the underdog to Boston in the playoffs is what they need.
I just hope Chicago misses the playoffs. They absolutely own the Pistons now.Comment
