All depends what we are talking about, I certainly wouldn't consider him untouchable, but I'm also not trading him simply as a way to clear cap space, unless its in the summer and we know we need that cap space. He's in his 2nd year, and up until recently he was getting inconsistent minutes behind Shump and JR, on a terrible team, I think its too soon to worry that he hasn't shown growth yet.

      Galloway showed some promise.

He did, Early looked decent too from the little of the game that I watched.

I hate this type of situation in the NBA though, opposing teams clearly aren't going to go balls to the wall against us since we're the worst team in the league so you can never tell if performances like Galloway's is fool's gold or not. Regardless, for now I'll enjoy it.

You don't give up on a player in a year and a half unless they totally suck. He's not even close to that.

With that kind of thinking we might as well go back to what we were under Isaiah trading away 1st rounders and young players for homerun swings.
That's fair. I personally am not enamored with his game. I wish he would make smarter basketball decisions I the court

So what's everyone doing with their new-found free time that's typically dedicated to watching the Knicks?

Heard a hilarious things on WFAN this morning - nearly halfway through the NBA season and the Giants had more wins in their season than the Knicks currently have.

It's pretty bad that it's the middle of January and I can name all of our wins off the top of my head. Or that I fondly remember the back to back wins over the Cavs and Hornets as the good days.

Sadly I still watch a lot

I don't watch. Don't see the point of watching a D-League team and players who won't be back next year.

I've been watching college basketball. Other NBA teams don't appeal to me.

I can't watch them this year. I don't like any of the remaining players accept TimJr who's been ice cold this year, and Melo.

I've been watching amazing old footage like this epic Ewing vs Young Shaq battle.

for some reason embeding isn't working

Damn Ewing had some moves man and a more consistent mid range than possibly Melo.
Surprisingly amazing moves and assist by Charles Smith at the 6:19 mark.

So Melo is healthy enough for a game in London and the All-Star game?

                      Cool

I feel the same way. How do you go from needing surgery to being fine to play in those games?

                        Bull****.

A big part of me doesn't care. But it just rubs me the wrong way.

Patrick was great before his knees went, he was still really damn good even with his knees failing (like in this video). He was a lot of fun to watch. Him and Don Mattingly were my childhood heros, they had pretty similar career paths too.

He's slowly becoming one of the more underrated players ever - the national media loves to pick on NY athletes. Bill Simmons' take on Ewing is painfully awful and way off. He's as underrated as Reggie Miller is overrated.

I watched every Knick game from 93-95 and he was my favorite player growing up, but after soo much time passes by I kind of forgot about how great he actually was. Its nice to see his highlights now, 1. for the nostalgia and 2. I start to imagine how dominant he would be in todays NBA.
