Records going to be even worst next year if he won't try something different. I am not surprised though.

The fact that he is being so closed minded is the most frustrating thing

Re: The 2016 New York Knicks: Now that we're done tanking...

Just watched all the interviews from yesterday...
-Melo sounds really conflicted on what he wants to do. Everything he says is a contradiction. I would think he'll see how free agency plays out and then decide.

-Didn't really get the feeling that Phil wants Rambis to be the coach like Isola and some others said. Just said he'll get an interview, and he was waiting until the season ended to reach out to anybody else.

-But also doesn't sound like he's willing to go out of his circle. He said the process could go as long as July, so that sounds like Walton.

-Melo mentioned continuity being important, and Phil said its not as important since the team isn't good. Mentioned the team regressed as the season went along.

-The stuff about Grant was stupid, and so is blaming the media for speculating about coaches, and keeping us from getting free agents.

I have no confidence that the "Phil Jackson era" will bring us any success. Just mixed messages and organizational turmoil. This organization is cursed.

I'm not sure there is much organizational turmoil at this point, it may be all the doings of the evil NY media. If Phil ends up going with anyone but Rambis then this will all be one humongous "much ado about nothing".

So who gets the main sponsorship for the Knicks? Chase? Kia? Nathans? Papaya King?

Oh goodness, that sounds so Dolan. But because I think Dolan is about the dollar, it will probably make more sense to go with Chase.

                        Calderon still has another year.

If I'm Dolan I say to Phil, "You want to hire your own coach, fine....but you have to stay for the duration of your contract. No opting out after next season."

Luke Walton says no to the Knicks...good move Luke, listen to your old man.

Luke Walton’s answer to Phil Jackson was thanks, but no thanks – at least for now. According to sources, Jackson reached out to the Golden State assistant in a phone conversation recent…

Good move on Waltons part. I don't think he would make a difference anyways. Coaching an already made team for 50 games doesn't show that he could take a project this on. He would be fired in a couple of years like Fisher.

Phil says not only has Luke not said no, they haven't even talked yet.

Yea I don't really get all the hype for him. He might be a good coach he might not, he's a real unknown to me at this point.

At the same time, all the Rambis talk has lowered expectations. I'd pretty much be happy with anyone but him.
