I don't know if anyone here watch ESPN NEWS or not but, Heres something interested.

On ESPN NEWS they had two guys on talking about the Tarver/Jones Fight.

They said that Jones went into the fight not wanting to fight. He wanted to show everyone that he could stand toe to toe with Tarver and take everything he had. Thats why he taunted a lot and not throw so many punches.

These two guys said that at the end of the fight he won qoute" He won in his own little world" Wierd but, true.

Jones didn't want to fight Tarver because there was no need for him to fight. He already knew what people thought and said now he is ready to fight. He will fight Tarver again or whomever.

Tarver is talking a lot about Jones and how good he is or was because he is trying to build up the fight to make him look better.

Tarver beat a man that was already finished at 36. Even though they are the same age.

By watching clips of the fight. I tend to agree with the statements about Jones. He just didn't look like he cared at all in the fight.

Jones get,s knocked out in 8 rounds by Johnson because Johnson is a pressure fighter who won't let Jone's rest as Tarver did....and as we all saw Jones doesn't want any part of being pressured..Plus I honestly beleive that Jones has nuerological damage ..when he was hit with clean punches by Tarver he was wobbled...If Tarver had a little more conditioning that fight would have been over in the 11th round...He also had Jones hurt in the 3rd round...And beleive it or not I think Tarver has a bit of bitch in him..because he looked just as scared as Roy..Any type of early pressure would have taken Roy out...Roy does not have the speed , stamina or reflexes any more to compete at a high level without running around like a girl all night and not throwing punches...His ego is so big he is trying to justify his loss by now saying that Tarver is the best..Tarver is a B fighter who has lost to Eric Harding and Johnson both C fighters....It would be a mismatch if he moved up and fought Toney..6th rd knockout by toney easy..He should stick to fighting the Jones and Johnsons of his division....or he would probably go fight B-Hop another washed up fighter who doesn't throw punches...By the way could you imagine a B-Hop and Jones fight? So, you'd be the kind of fighter that just tried to bull his way into his opponent? Good luck on that. No fighter has ever stayed successful fighting like that. You'd punch yourself out in the first three rounds.

Tarver is a B fighter? Bernard Hopkins is a washed up fighter? Do you know anything about boxing? Name one A fighter in the heaveyweight, light heavyweight, or middleweight divisions, if you think these are B fighters.

I don't think Tarver is a B fighter at all. He beat the best in the light heavyweight division. It's laughable to call Bernard Hopkins a washed up fighter after one loss in 21 fights. Well if you want to look at all the classic signs for Hopkins they are there much lie Roy..#1 is being unable to or sustain a constant pace...Hopkins could not fight at a Jermaines Taylor pace for 12 rds and he truly hasn't been able to do that since the Trinidad fight...#2 is the inactivity from not punching or not being able to pull the trigger..Look how many punches he threw the first 8 rounds against Taylor, and on top of that Delahoya...Now he is lucky because Taylor isn't or wasn't technically sound for the 1st fight which allowed Hop to land punches..Also look at when he had Taylor hurt his body would not allow him to finish him off because he can't pull the trigger like he want's to...Taylor will beat him next time by just outhustling him and using his handspeed..Also look at Hops reflexes he got hit and hurt against Taylor, and Delahoya landed as well..I am a Hops fan but I can see the writing on the wall..He has to hold and be tentative much like Roy has to run and be inactive because tthey can't do it for 12 rds...As far as a pressure fighter beating Roy evidently you didn't see Jones get knocked the f**k out by Johnson that was all pressure...If tarver applies that same pressur he knocks Roy out..Tarver is a B fighter who has been exposed and Johnson is decent..Look at his record he was ajourneyman who Hopkins knocked out before he knokced Roy out so what does that tell you about roy..There is no A fighter in the Lightheavies..Middleweight you can make a case for winky Wright...B hop is still a A fighter but he is a A fighter on the decline fighting a young b+ fighter who is on the rise..bad combination..

Well, I consider A and B fighters by their divisions, not against all the other fighters. Tarver is an A fighter in the lightheavyweight division. I mean, be honest, Wright or Hopkins or Jones or Tarver would kill Mayweather. It wouldn't be because they're better, but because they're bigger. I think it's only fair to gauge a fighter versus his competition. Even great fighters have bad nights. Tyson against Douglas is one. Tyson's mind wasn't on the fight, much like Jones in his last four fights since Ruiz.

I think Roy Jones was a superb fighter in his day. I don't think he was ducking, but rather refusing to fight guys that he would have to brawl with. Good strategy if you want to keep your health.

Vitali is an "A" heavyweight. He has never been knocked down in over 200 fights (including amateur), never been "beat", rarely clinches, throws a lot of jabs, etc.....

Toney is good, but notice he has not fought a superheavyweight yet or even a heavyweight with any kind of knockout power.

I'm not bashing Toney, but a positive steroids test takes him out of the equation.

I've watched Vitali fight, and I'm not terribly impressed. For his size, he shouldn't have the trouble he does with many of the smaller fighters he faces. He's a good fighter, but not A list, in my opinion.
