Indeed, I love 'The Hitman', but it was my fault I did not finish him. I rocked him plenty of times, but haven't got the game mechanics down to a niche yet.Comment

Ok, im confindent now after wasting a couple of fight by testing in cpu vs cpu(altho I did learn some things)
if you want realism with this game, you have to BOX realisticly....Pick your shoots and work the jab even tho if your not connecting it(keeps your opp of of you) the average boxer throws about 15-20 jabs per round, most of the jabs dont connect which has a % rate around 15% most punches that are connected in real life are power punches(str8's, hooks and uppercuts) which has a much higher % rate hovering around 40%....So to sum it up, we are seeing a high % rate becuz we have no fear in taking a chance and going for punches(combos after combos)
Lol justing letting you guys kno that we can have realistic stats that matches with the sim stats in legacy mode if we are somehow forced to box(harder, slider adjustments???) So far in my legacy mode with my test set, I am landing 28% of my punches while my opp is landing 45% yea I sux lol but its up to me to lower that number becuz right now my defense sux aswell
basically I have wat everyone else have so far- raised speed and def awr and lowered punch outputComment

But I don't think with the sliders given, we could have a %100 realistic stats wise, but I want to work it out.
Want to start a legacy where I can acheive realistic stats. I boxed Manny Pacquiao nicely. I kept him at bay with jab/ jab combinations and when he would attempt inside he would throw something as I blocked and I would return with a combination, backing away from him.
I jabbed 22.5 times a round against him, though. So I am working these sliders in a realistic way.
But would be best with a team effort. So should be fun! I usually only land around %30-%40 of my punches, AI usually lands %30 to %50. Should be nice to be able to adjust that rate to a more realistic one.

to force you to fight realistically, there needs to be a stamina slider.....it's ok now, but to achieve super sim stats we need to be scared to truly gas. right now its better than fnr3, but it's not really on realistic levels. In the game you can still throw 400 punches in 3 rounds as a heavyweight and still be near full function for the 4th round ( if you're not knocedk out by the cpu on their counters). In real life, his stamina is near finished with that kind of output.

Tried the toughness bar? Might work. I bet mixing up some of the sliders could effect stanima.

These so far in many bouts force me to pick my spots, also despite toughness being up, I was still able to get/receive flash KD's, damage and power makes it so that you can get caugth with one clean shot and be in the stun stake(so this force me to box instead of slugging) but tougnhness counters it because now its not a KD/KO fest....Altho I dont know if having toughness up maxed will have the cpu getting up from every KD, but after my second KD using Cotto vs Pac Man, I couldnt get up.....I was also able to get inside without being flurried with punches(the cpu was sizing me uo just like I was)
my % is low(im working my str8's, jabs and hooks...most of my connects are when I counter or get a clean shot inside) my D could improve more...
someone test these for me pleeeeeaaase!but BEWARE especially against Tyson!

Other than speed and maybe cpu punch output I think this game plays excellent of the box .
Not gonna waste my time on tweaking the heck out of off a day old game just enjoying it too much
I love how fighters adjust to your style , success and weakness , cant wait for DLC and I find switching stances in game helps to open up other Boxers when being very defensive.Last edited by dorismary; 06-24-2009, 06:41 PM.Comment

question as to what certain sliders actually effect in game...
Speed (hand speed AND foot speed or only hand speed?)
Toughness- does it make you AND the CPU take more damage or does it do something else?
Punch output- How aggressive the CPU is as punching?
I know some of these SEEM obvious, but i was curious if someone knew EXACTLy what they effect.
For instance. In one fight last night i had punch output at MAX and i really didnt notice that much of a difference from it being at default or at 0.
I play on champion difficulty. I am 10-0 with 5 KO's. Challenging fights overall and 3 of those KO's came very early in my career. My biggest issue is the CPU is pretty passive overall, and there was a few times that i would just stand in front of him for 5-10 seconds and he wouldnt even throw a punch.
Any help or suggestions would be VERY welcome. LOVE the game BTW.Comment

Damn just had a epic fight with Shane(me) vs Cotto...
The fight was stopped in the 7th due to my cut!!!!!! I really need to block and weave lol
Other than that, it was a pretty close bout, the judges scored it 64-69 Cotto, 66-67 Mosley and 66-67 Cotto....Cotto wins by TKO
BTW these are easier than the default G.O.A.T.
