I hope you find a set of sliders that fit you Brah.
On your sliders, you're getting alot of decisions? Not alot of knockouts? How about stoppages?

      Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

I have found that by the time you get to the top 10 with competative sliders, the fights are nearly impossible, so I pretty much accepted cakewalks for the lower ranks so that the competative fighters were those near the top. I still lose.

Now I'm running on some modified GOAT settings, I do like the feel of the fight on GOAT, but the advantage given to the CPU is a little pathetic, so im working on circumventing that. My last two fights ended the same way, a 10th round KO ( the only knockdown of the fight) and a 9th rd KO (again, the only knockdown). The first was even a flash knockdown. We'll see. Parker man, its not gonna be as realistic as you want, thats the fact man. You wont be able to stop the CPU from countering, and you wont be able to lower connect %. Just have fun man.

I'm having fun right now on Champion. It's still a little easy in the early going, but at least all the fights aren't the same like on Pro. I fought probably a dozen fights on Pro this morning and not one went past the 3rd round, I was knocking everybody out. I could literally connect on 80% of my punches and it just got boring.

I'm playing on Champion again with the following sliders:

        Difficulty - Champion
        RFA - 10
        RDA - 10
        PWR - 5
        SPD - 3
        DAM - 6
        TGH - 4
        COA - 5
        CDA - 5
        OUT - 2

I've started a Legacy with these and I'm planning on posting about it in the Dynasty subforum, so I won't be starting over anytime soon. I'm gonna see this one through because I really want to get my thread going.

Ok, there does seem to be an inherent advantage the CPU has on GOAT, but I am like Wes. I want to blow through my first five to ten fights. IRL, that's how it is with the more elite boxers. I will have a legacy where I won't be an 'elite' prospect, but I will throw the amateur tourney when I do so to avoid the added points from winning the tourney.

I am starting to see that maybe 5/5 is a good place on GOAT. I am not sure. I still like my set I have on page one to be honest, but after a light hitting Mora flashed me on a random non-counter I started wondering.

I am going to lower the speed. The only way to really lower the CPU connect % is to lower the speed. I am lowering mine to two. Even at the higher levels those guys are still fast. Insane fast. Here's my 'official' set for right now:

          GOAT

          Ref sliders - both 10
          Power 8
Speed 2 (keeps CPU connect percentage down - 42% last fight)
          Damage 6
          Toughness 5
          CPU AI - Both 10
          Output 0

I'm finally having alot of fun with this game.

With those sliders I posted, I actually scored a KO during the amateur tourney, which I had never done, not even on Pro. So I was worried.

And then I fought my first Pro bought, against the guy I knocked out, and we WENT TO THE CARDS! I won a decision. I'm having a blast!

4 pro fights. 2 decisions, 2 KO's. 1 KO late in the 6th, one KO early in the 2nd. Excellent variation in the fights, not only the results but the actual in-fight action. FINALLY.

                Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

Won my first 5 fights and took on a 10-rounder against a more experienced opponent. I started the fight using the jab and trying to preserve stamina since it was my first fight longer than 6 rounds and I'd had several go the distance already.

I pummeled him good during the middle rounds and pressed the action well into the 8th.

And then I got caught. Dammit, I got knocked out and picked up my first loss. I was so freaking mad, so I demanded an immediate rematch.

I took a slightly different approach in the 2nd fight. Still swooped in and out staying light on my feet, like I did in the 1st fight, but instead of throwing jabs, I threw power punches. Knocked him down in the 1st and 2nd and knocked him out in the 4th.

                Sweet revenge!

my sliders are very close to urs, I was worried about them(mine) at first becuz guys rated them a 1* on boxer share lol and Im was 20(20)-0 in my legacy....Sliders(mine) is great in fight now mode but I wasnt liking them in my legacy becuz of the easy KO's I was getting but I just realized that I ALWAYS scheduled fighters that was the lowest ranked possible, just had my FIRST REAL fight against a guy ranked 10th (im 14th) and I won by by a split decison!!!! Something I thought couldnt happenend to me and if it wasnt for my 2 last minute KDs, I would have lost!!! Now Im 21(20)-0-0

there was 4 KD's total but once the new sliders come, I can lower counter window(I was able to exploit it hence my 2 desperation KDs) stamina and accuracy which should balance my set out

I landed 33% of my punches on 530 thrown while he connected 35% on 563 thrown

I think we are in the right direction shaun! Atleast for our skill level....

Definitely DO NOT base your slider decisions on early legacy play. You're going to get alot of knockouts simply because guys have poor ratings for chin and heart. I've played the first 10 fights or so in Legacy with a half dozen different slider sets on different difficulty levels and early Legacy is what it is. I firmly believe you should be testing your sliders in Fight Now and if they play good there, you can use them in Legacy.

Yea, I kno but its just that im a featherweight who is a speedy counter puncher, I should have half the KO's I recorded.....Once I add the new sliders to my set, everything should be cool tho

as for stuns, I see alot but Its hard as crap to actually score a knockdown on a good fighter with wat I have, It would only get better once I lower accuracy to make it harder to land clean punches....

Overall most of my KO's come from counter punching, making that window very small will help me defensively and also will limit my advantage of just counter punching offensively...Power at 10 and toughness at 0 helped me with realistic KO's(only have 4 fights with more than 3 KD's scored in 21 fights....tge 4 was before my adjustments)....less affective punches(accuracy) will trade off those numbers I have set for power and toughness

ROFL, I'm playing as a Flyweight right now. I freaking love it.

I'm scoring a few too many knockdowns, but I hear ya - I score alot of stuns where I simply can't seal the deal, so I feel pretty good about that. I really like where I'm at right now.

I need to find some silders that will even out the power. I can play on pro with defaults and win every time by KO or decision, bump it up one notch and I'm gone by the 6th every fight. The CPU punches do wayyyyyyyyyy more damage than what they should be doing. When I have a more powerful boxer with similar staminia his jabs look like they knock more health off my bar than my hooks/uppercuts do to his. It's insane. I thought the idea of moving the skill level up would make the boxers fight smarter and more tactful, not give them super human strength and weaken me beyond belief!! Anyone have any sliders that will help this?

I've been using these and having a blast. 7 wins in my Legacy, 4 by decision and 3 by knockout. I've been put down a couple of times but nothing that was really scary.
