    Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

One thing that really bothers me about playing on GOAT is the corner game points.

I just fought an even Round 1 with Lewis against Chambers. I landed 26 punches, he landed 31. He landed 24 jabs/straights to my 14. But I landed 9 hooks to his zero. He landed 7 uppers, I landed 3. No haymakers and one counter each.

He got 33 points and I got 15. That's too lopsided.

So far I haven't lost a fight using juk34mans sliders, I'm 3(1)-0 in my legacy in the wlterweight division. Case your wondering no cheese here, I'm actually averaging 43.3 punches a round, and majority of those are jabs and straights.

I'm not saying the sliders are easy by any means, cause I have been caught a few times and been to the canvas. Its still early in my career and I know that bigger challenges are coming.
I have no gripes with the sliders at all. On default Champion when I stunned a opponent I felt like I would follow with big shots but never drop him, with these sliders I do get either a KD or KO, not every time but when they at there weakest.

Can anybody explain to me how the **** you're supposed to defend yourself?

I just fought a fight against Malignaggi as Pacquiao and tried to do nothing but block. It didn't matter where I put my hands, he ALWAYS punched to where they WEREN'T. He landed 84% punches to the body in the match before and even with me doing nothing but blocking, he landed 54%.

Dont forget that blocking in this game doesnt mean you will block a punch 100% unlike past Fight Night....Move your body/head when block..if not, those punches you are trying to defend will punch thru.

Also, it seem like he landed more punches that round, thats why he had more points than you, other than that I can tell it was a good defensive round for both becuz how low yall points were..The Cpu gotten 50 points on me before when they landed more than 40% of their punches

Has anyone ever scored a KO within 3 rounds?? In "real life", there are KO's in earlier rounds, but seems like in this game, its near impossible. I could just really be bad at this game, which is a high probability, but still. I've stunned a guy a few times, and it seems I can't land a punch then after that no matter where I hit him. Maybe it's a slider thing?

yea I did(havent with my legacy guy tho, he's a featherweight based on speed)

also KD'ed dont only happen after a stun, so dont loose hope if he recovers from it....he's still hurt...use some hooks or uppercuts after you countered him to possibly get a flash KD or even a KO

Not only have I found that I can move around the ring JUST FINE with the speed slider turned down (and even to ZERO), I've found that the increased speed for the CPU was a BIG part of my defensive problems!

I'm actually hanging on GOAT now with speed at default (5).
I deleted my earlier post saying lower speed to 0 , thinking people would think Im crazy lol , Im sticking on Champ

im only on champion but im 10-0 with 9 ko's. almost all of them by the 5th round. had two in the second round. 3 in the 3rd and the other 4 all by the 6th. i have a peepaboo hyper guy with normal reach. im 88% on counters on the year and get about 5-10 a round. i maybe throw 1-5 haymakers a fight and normally to the body. the counter has to be the key. i have also knocked two guys down in the first few seconds. one on my first punch. counter, right hook to the dome and down.

Thats why I lowered Cpu defense to 0 trust me its not as bad as it sounds .
Like I said Im now actually able to box and defend better with having a counter attack to help break up barrages I cant posssible defend especially early to the body at least with Ali , but now I will test others maybe Sugar Len vs Motown Hearns .

I just used the "Cpu vs Cpu" sliders found on here, and I can see those helping me a lot. I think the key is the "toughness" slider and also depends (of course) who you are boxing with. I think Tyson is very underrated in this game, so I'm going to try some other boxers and see how my results are.

The thing is, I LEAN on the left trigger. I'm constantly moving - it's like he knows where I'm going. I've tried a half dozen different fighters this morning and the results are always the same - the CPU connects about 65% of the time and I eventually run out of steam in the 9th or 10th.

Yeah, I knocked Malignaggi out in the 2nd round on GOAT this morning. Knocked him down with my very first punch of the match and he was on his heels the rest of the way.
