Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Nah, Im happy with my set
they work great with the way that I fight...I can see a KO in the first round or a fight going to the scorecards...after watching FNF last night, I am very satisfied
as for speed, yea It seem really slow especially early in your legacy but once you progress, you'll notice that the game will get faster
I auto train so speed dont effect my traingRecovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
To me the best 2 power to toughness settings are 5/2 and 7/5. I don't know why, but they seem to work best.
Speed changes for me. In the beginning it's 2, when I get to 70+ hand speed it's changed to 1 and when I get to 80+ I set it to zero. I do that to get past the annoying slowness. For fight now I keep it at zero. Zero seems to show the best differential between fighters with a high and low hand speed and foot speed.
And I'm messing around with speed at 2 right now too.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
For the lower levels of legacy I find three to four to be ok, just to get past the slowness and monotony. Once I get it to the top 20 I dial it down. By the time I am in the top ten it's back to zero.
Here are my current sliders. Not much has changed. These are for Fight Now and legacy unless otherwise listed. These are also for both Champion or GOAT with GOAT settings in bold.
Ref Sliders both ten
Power 5 or 7
Speed 0 for Fight Now, Legacy use 3 for ranking 50 - 35, 1 for 35 - 20, zero for 20+ ranking.
Physical Damage 10 if power is 5, 7 if power is 7.
Toughness 2 if power is 5, 5 if power is 7.
Accuracy 0
Stamina 8 (3 minutes)
Counter Window 0
CPU Off & Def AI both 7 GOAT both 5
Output 0Comment

Tried these out for Champion. These are pretty darn good as well. I see what you're doing with the speed based on ranking and it makes sense. These seem pretty fair, yet challenging.
I've had quite variety of fights with these. I've had many go the full 10 rounds with decisions, I've managed to knock a guy out who was ranked about 4 spots lower than me, and during one match, got knocked down twice in the final round, and during the second KD, got to my feet on the 9th count. It was getting up and surviving that allowed me to win the match because I was winning on the scorecards, but almost lost due to the knockdowns.
I'm liking these quite a bit.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Speed is the big thing that predicates the cpu's reaction time or 'talent' whereas the AI determines actual ability. With speed at zero in the top rankings I can actually use my jab. The freeze that happens on the counter from the jab is kinda stupid to me, but at least I can use my jab if I am faster with the speed at zero.
I am glad you like these...I just got KO'd by Duran on these and we were evenly matched in a knock down drag out brawl. I knocked him down twice in the first and he somehow survived. He pressed the action a little less and began to counter my counters, figuring out what I was doing. He flashed KD'd me in the fifth and in the 10th, when I just had too little health. Great fight to say the least.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
ROFL, these sliders just play so much different than before.
I played a couple of games tonight with Juke's sliders (pwr 10/tgh 0) and I knocked out Chambers in the 4th with Tyson after knocking him down SIX times.
I then knocked out RJJ in the 5th round with Joe Calzaghe after knocking him down 5 times.
I've had SIGNIFICANTLY more guys not get up with power and toughness both at 5 than with power at 10 and toughness at zero. Totally opposite of what you would expect.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Yes, I have a lot more decisions and at the same time I've had more KO's where the CPU didn't get up five times. I've learned that the health meter plays a big factor in how often they get up as well.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Furthermore, is your stamina set at 8 for legacy? Because I notice you can't set round length in legacy.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Legacy rounds are 2 minutes, 11 seconds, so 5 should work for legacy.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
there really is just no accounting for the non-generic top fighters in legacy. When all one persons stats are in the upper 90's they just mow down everyone else, and they play extremely unrealistically.
I have been tweaking sliders since 8/8/09 to try to get my championship fight with jermaine taylor to feel right. It doesnt matter what I do, he comes out and throws punch after punch after punch after punch. I can counter some, but it doesnt matter because he keeps punching. I usually make it 5 or 6 rounds before he over comes me. his health and stamina never deplete, and his stratagy never changes. Its killing this game for me right now. Even with punch output at 0 he comes out swinging like a robot. Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Counter Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Counter Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Punch - Ding.WesmanY2k - Xbox 360
