Amateur is great for new users wanting to experience Fight Night for the first time, Pro satisfies most of our regular gamers. For those users that have been playing Fight Night for a while, Champion difficulty level will give you a good run for your money. During production we looked at all of our user feedback and we wanted to give those who love the series something to keep them challenged. We added a fourth difficulty level just for them! If you’re looking for the fight of your life, challenge Tyson to a heavyweight fight on G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time), you might just be able to get an achievement or trophy out of it, (just watch out for that uppercut!!).
Pro has the potential for for good boxing depending on the sliders. I am not done testing with them, but it's either going to be Pro or Champion because GOAT isn't so much too hard, it's just too insane how the CPU has the advantage, but that was the whole point, at least what I gathered from the paragraph above.

GOAT = All-Madden = Heisman. It's not designed to be realistic, it's designed to be challenging. Therefore they use CPU cheese. It is what it is. I've always been able to WIN on the highest difficulty level on any of the 3 games. But realism is another story.

I know I could get good, realistic matches on Champion, but I'm just not that into this game anymore.

I'm tweaking Pro because I want a reasonable challenge on my way to becoming 35-3 with 25 knockouts.

I get decent fights on Pro, but even with AI both at ten it seems almost too easy. I am not giving up yet, I still have a few fights before I call it quits with Pro. Champ with 9 OFF AI and zero DEF AI and output at zero seems to be about the most realistic I can find. I usually see connect rates in the mid 40%, which I can live with, especially since I am not getting time block countered on my jab constantly.

          Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

Here's what I'm working with right now. Much credit to acts for giving me the base I started from:

          Champ
          RFA/RDA 10
          Power 10
          Speed 2
          Damage 2
          Toughness 9
          Accuracy 0
          Stamina 5
          Counter 0
          CPU OA 9
          CPU DA 2
          CPU PO 5

I'm having very competitive fights so far in legacy, and have to fight smart and well to win. While turning CPU defense awareness up a bit does lead to more counters, it's not too bad. It just means I have to fight smarter, as opposed to making some fights nearly impossible to win.

Will keep playing with these to see if I see any big flaws.

Well, I found the flaw. You get to a certain level of opponent -- and that level isn't very high -- and the action becomes straight-up arcade.

Yeah, that's why I keep the DEF AI at zero for Champ and output zero. It can get ridiculous.

Unless I find something to convince me otherwise here is my set. Juke, if you would post this up front. You can use these for legacy as well in fight (bump the speed up for training if need be). Thanks!

              Champion
              2 minutes
              Ref Sliders - both 10
              Power - 10
              Speed - 2
              Damage - 2
              Toughness - 9
              Accuracy - 0
              Stamina - 5
              Counter window - 0
              CPU OFF AI - 9
              CPU DEF AI - 0
              Output - 0

KO'd Old Foreman with a flash straight right counter, only time down. The fight before went 14 before he went down twice and was done. I love these sliders. If there are too many knockdowns for your taste raise the toughness to ten. For Pro make the AI and output all ten. Let me know how they work!

Giving them a try now. I'll play a few matches into legacy before commenting, since I proved to myself earlier that you can't judge sliders right away in legacy mode.

I got to this point with NCAA too. I just woke up one day, set it to default difficulty and started a Campus Legend game. No, it wasn't realisitc, but it sure was fun to rush for 1500 yards, pass for 2500 yards, and win the Heisman, as a true freshman.

I'm getting some really fun games right now on Pro, just experimenting with different sliders.

I knocked Eddie Chambers out with Mike Tyson in the 6th. I knew it had been a tough fight, but my jaw about hit the floor when I saw that I was TRAILING ON THE CARDS. On Pro. 2 of the cards had him winning 3 rounds to my 2, but the 3rd judge had ALL FIVE rounds for Chambers.

I honestly didn't think it was possible.

I might be bumping them toughness to ten...maybe. Not sure yet. I always test in fight now before going into legacy, because in fight now you can set it up so that you simulate what you will come across when you hit the top 20 and top 10 by creating CAB's.

acts: I like your current sliders so far. The only thing that seems out-of-whack is the number of times the CPU is capable of getting off the mat, but otherwise they're solid.

parker: I'm interested to see what your final pro sliders look like, because playing on pro seems to fix the one problem I have with act's sliders.

Can't really be fixed unfortunately. The main reason I'm playing on Pro. Adjusting sliders to prevent it throw all kinds of other stuff out of whack.

                            Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

I don't know what's up with all the get-up's from knockdowns. The heart rating has nothing to do with the CPU getting up. I had a super-CAB I made just to fight against before going online and even with 57 heart (the lowest for a speed stance CAB) he got up four times. In Legacy, during the amateur tournament I sometimes makes the setting where I can breeze through just to get my ratings boost and get to my career. To do that I jack up power and speed while making toughness and AI zero on Amateur difficulty. Even in those settings they have gotten up FIVE times.

In a previous post I mentioned Foreman went down once and stayed down because of a straight right counter that not only was a flash knockdown but ended up being a KO. One and done. I was shocked and had I known it was going to be like that I would have uploaded it to the server. That win was in the 3rd round on my Champion sliders with nine toughness. I can't figure out what determines when/if they get up.

I think what I am going to do is have one legacy on Pro and another on Champion to see what happens. I will test more today and more tomorrow before I will be done. I am not turning this game in anytime soon, as I do love it. I am just looking for a realistic challenge on Champion/Pro so I can run through a legacy without screaming bullcrap on a loss.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. I love the 10 power with 9 or 10 toughness. I get more flash Ko's and my jab hurts them a little.

There needs to be a separate stamina slider for the cpu imo.

It would be nice if every slider had a separate Player and CPU component. Stamina isn't the only on that is an issue.
