I used the settings below earlier and had a great fight with my CAB against Old George. The connect rate was higher than I liked. It was 53% with zero speed! It was on Champion, not GOAT. He threw 462 punches over 12 rounds, I threw 1169, mostly jabs to see what would happen. I had my CAB setup as a 6'3", 200lb heavyweight with a 78" reach and best punch as a jab (hoping it would make a difference - it kinda did) and a smooth stance with speed punching. I used the ring, staying out of the corner and off the ropes as much a possible. I landed about 46% of the 600 jabs I threw, using them in 1-1, 1-1-2 and 2-1-1 combos, varying to see what would happen with the timed block. My CAB had 90 power in both hands and 100 hand and foot speed (Ali clone). The results were good. Moving the speed from two to zero really didn't accomplish much as far as lowering the connect percentage. It might have limited a few counters, but not many. I have found the jab is rarely time-blocked when you circle their lead hand. I double and tripled the jab against against Old Foreman using this. It wasn't me abusing the AI, it was me tossing jabs everytime he set his feet or opened his guard. I would often use a cross for a counter and follow with two jabs, which helped. In the end his face was jacked up. I feel close with the set below:
Ref sliders - both 10
Power - 10
Speed - 2
Damage - 2 (have had stoppages on cuts)
Toughness - 9
Accuracy - 0
Stamina - 5
Counter window - 0
CPU AI - both 0
Punch Output - 0
I KO'd Old George, but it took the late rounds to do it. His chin help up big time. It was a great fight won by basic boxing tactics.
On a funny note I used the same settings against another CAb and was getting slaughtered, knocked out twice in a row at one point in Fight Now. I went back to edit the settings and I looked at the top and saw 'G.O.A.T.'. I started laughing...no wonders I couldn't do anything, lol. GOAT has that insane power edge to the CPU, not going to touch it.
Would someone test these sliders with me? I think they are close and I am getting ok connect percentages and good punch outputs for the CAB's AI I assign. GUys do seem to fight like their selves and what I like is they flurry against you when you are hurt. As much as I hate losing it is true to real life boxing form, and I love a good fight.
