I mean, I guess it'll be an interesting action fight. The problem is that there is literally nothing at stake for that bout. I understand not every fight is a title fight (although it seems like it sometimes, what with so many 'sanctioning bodies' and all....), but 2 past-their-prime guys who have diminishing stars and even more diminishing futures in the sport going at it in a zero-stakes PPV just seems pointless to me. If the fight was on HBO or Showtime I'd definitely make time to watch it. I just have a hard time believing anyone would pay for it.

i agree....don't think i would pay for this one either. watched manny's farewell fight a while back and figured unless he's fighting for a title or a big name, what's the point? he should be fighting brook or porter....or the winner of garcia-thurman.

Al Haymon managed fighters Deontay Wilder and Gerald Washington meet Saturday night (FOX). Could be interesting. The televising of the Endymion parade (Mardi Gras) by our local Fox affiliate turns this bout into a tape delay (past midnight) in our area.

my little show will be live tomorrow night, I'll post the link here if I have time and am still sane before the show in case anyone wants to check it out. No big fights on this one, but a main even prospect who trains in vegas and has sparred with floyd. He only 10-0 though

wilder knocked out washington as expected....with fury out of the picture for the time being, a fight with klitschko has to be made. also, manny vs. khan set for april 23rd. noticed he did a twitter poll for possible opponents with khan garnering 48% of the vote and crawford barely got 20%. smh.

my archived link from Saturday is up:

watch the first fight - both debut guys, but both very skilled imo and a fun fight - and watch the 7th and last fight around the 2hr58min mark - Cody Crowley the welterweight who moved to and trains in vegas and sparred vs mayweather leading up to pacman (he is a southpaw), very slick boxer who will make some noise, likely in 2018 or 2019. The 1st fight I did a teaser on a story I'm doing on Godfrey who was a child soldier in Uganda from 12years old and ran away from the army at 15. Crazy to hear him talk about it, so I'll update that when it's released.

A couple of other fights were OK, I think fight #2 comes to mind, but avoid at all cost the 3rd fight 'buzz' grant which was a horrible bout, total waste of time, should have been matched, I'd rather watch any amateur bout, this was embarrassing.

Overall, the card was very up-and-comer type with a few prospects. Most of the time we do at least a north American title and have guys in the 18-20 win range, but not this time.

Now I turn my complete attention to one-time v Garcia, I cannot effing wait for that!

Last I heard Pac VS Khan wasn't yet finalized.

Wilder didn't look good at all until a good right on Washington's temple.

                            You can say that again.

This Saturday night (March 4th): Thurman vs Garcia (CBS), March 11th: Lemieux vs. Stevens, HBO Boxing After Dark, March 18th: GGG vs Jacobs, HBO PPV.

that it is....would be much happier with thurman vs. garcia winner getting a shot at floyd rather than this mcgregor fiasco. how could it get better than fighting an undefeated fighter who earned a shot at ppv (and would be a worthy opponent) for his 50th fight? he wants no part of GGG, so this makes the most sense. especially since these two fighters are going at it on free tv, you can't get any better exposure than that.
