True. I don't think a McGregor-Malignaggi fight will happen, for three reasons.

One, McGregor would make more money in the octagon.

Two, Malignaggi is not a name outside of boxing circles.

Three, it's far more embarrassing to lose to Malignaggi than to Mayweather. Money is probably the best fighter of this generation. Malignaggi lost EVERY big fight he was in. A popular journeyman who got a few belts due to the dilution of titles and proliferation of sanctioning bodies.

The third part is a great point. MMA isnt like boxing where a loss or two can wreck all of your drawing power but losing to a journeyman would do significant damage to Conor's in MMA. Its not worth the risk.

With that said, the devs love Fight Night so I wouldnt be shocked if it came back as long as it makes financial sense.

conor went for broke going against floyd (albeit for 12 rounds) which was a tall task to say the least, especially for your pro boxing debut....he even mentioned after the fight he had problems in training going 12 and struggled at 10 rounds but once he was able to find a second wind, was able to go 12. my question is if he knew this going in, why not plan ahead to take a knee (to get his second wind) when was out of gas in the 10th? yes, it's noble to not go down but if it means the difference between the fight being stopped and going the distance, the knockdowns wouldn't really matter as much as going the distance with floyd imo.

Whats funny is as big of a fan as I am of FNC, I'm probably only the 3rd biggest fan on the Gamechangers team. There are two guys who swear by the game. They asked the devs to setup FNC at the last event so they could show the devs things from FNC that should be in UFC's striking.

One of theses days (when I'm not under an NDA), I'll give you guys a summary of some of the FNC discussions weve had about the future of the series. Hopefully, I wont have to because a new game will be announced. I'm sick of keeping my 360 simply because FNC isnt backwards compatible.

Tonight on ShowTime hard hitting David Benavidez can become the youngest 168-pound titleholder in the history of the sport if he gets by Ronald Gavril as he is expected to do. Gavril is no scrub, however.
