Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Anyone see that Sadam Ali vs. Jaime Munguia fight? I realize it was a gross size mismatch (probably at least 2 weight class differential on fight night), but if the kid can reliably make 154, he seems like someone to definitely keep an eye on. He's raw and we need to see him against fighters his own size, but early returns are looking pretty interesting.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
He has so much boxing skill and savvy, though, so he's hard to definitively beat. He sorta reminds me of late career Bernard Hopkins, who was so talented that he was really hard to decisively beat, but he also couldn't really beat anyone else (that was a serious contender).Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I don't know why this time around will be any different from the last time. I like Trout but he doesn't have enough power or a high enough work rate (as he is primarily a counter-puncher) to really beat top-flight guys.

154 Charlo, on the other hand, has upped his game since barely escaping with a victory over Vanes Martirosyan (the guy GGG recently obliterated). Since that fight three years ago Charlo has found considerable power and placed himself among the 154-160 elites.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Canelo could easily tell DLH to take whatever deal GGG sets.
He definitely needs the fight more than Golovkin.
It should be 50/50 as I don't see Alvarez as the clear draw anymore. Not after his losing performance in the first fight or the two failed drug tests.
If he doesn't get the rematch, his reputation is tarnished for good.
IMO, Alvarez is the 4th best MW right now behind GGG, Saunders and Jacobs.
I'm not sure he can beat Charlo right now either.
So that means DLH will have to put on his best fishnet dress and pumps to dance Alvarez away from any serious contenders.
He'll feed him a steady diet of B fighters like Spike O'Sullivan or David Lemieux.

Watched some online replays and man this looked really entertaining.
I'll most likely be buying the next one.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I believe it's called "Bec Rawlings Bareknuckle FC"
I don't know if the company has a link, but here's the recap:
MMA veteran Joey Beltran and Tony Lopez had a back-and-forth bloodbath and Bec Rawlings dominated at the historic first Bare Knuckle FC.
Undefeated 'champ' Gunn stopped a guy with a liver shot a few seconds into his match.
I've read the PPV numbers were fairly good.
This was part 1 of a HW tournament so there'll definitely be a part 2.Comment
