Re: GPD's official response to Finish the Fight discussion

After a severe knockout, I’d like the opponent not be standing there when buffer is announcing the winner. Like he had to be stretchered out or something. This would happen in the Undisputed Games sometimes and it was that little extra to show you really got him.

But it’s a correct representation of the sport to be fair.

This has really killed the hype for me a lot. I know it’s only a small part of the game but it was fine how it was in ufc 2.

Re: GPD's official response to Finish the Fight discussion

After reading this i'm very disappointed in the game, i bought ALL previous UFC/MMA games to this day and this will be the first i'll skip. I'm going to cancel my preorder of the champions edition. Game killer definately. It the 3rd installment of the series and except for the standup it's a huge setback, i.e FTF looked better in UFC 1 even if it was only mount. Horribly disappointed was waiting for this game...

Smh going to figure out how to cancel now, bye

I've never posted here before, just wanted to say I am disappointed about this but I'll still enjoy the game regardless.

One thing I have noticed however is that in most of these gameplay videos you see one of the players consistently letting the other up after a knockdown, numerous times in fact, which will then lead to a clean KO. This never happens in an actual fight and if the player followed up on the knockdown immediately and tried to finish then I think this game would play out a lot more realistically.

I still can't wrap my head around why EA doesn't take UD 3 as a blueprint and simply work around the stll incredible gameplay of it. Just imagine UD 3 with UFC 3 standup and improved graphics. Want to know why EA UFC doesn't sell? Except for GPD and the GCers nobody really puts their heart into the product. Lack of love imo.

Take the ground and pound as an example. UD3 still almost 10years after release has a real feel of devastating and immersive GnP while Ufc 3 has awful and weak looking punches as soon as it goes to the ground (not even talking about FTF which is obviously the worst in any MMA game EVER). It's not like they don't know what looks good and what doesn't, look at at the normal punch from single collar, you feel the impact, the head bounces away and so on.

In this sport heads must bounce off the canvas but GnP in EAs games feels like punching a wooden decoy. It enrages me how a potentially great game goes to **** for a lack of care.

**** it give me UD3 remaster even

Oh c'mon, some of you guys are just being overly dramatic now. People stating they will actually cancel preorders b/c you finish a fight but can't pummel a guy after he's KOed as a deal breaker lol. You can still punch your opponent to death on knockdowns & GNP finishes, just not KOs. Is it really that deep? It's not much different than Madden (or more so the NFL) taking out flying helmets or concussion injuries. It takes away a small aspect of realism from the sport, but nothing that actually effects how the game is played. Once a KO happens, the fight is supposed to be over and you're on to the next match.

I agree with you bro. People are acting like the sky is falling and that doesn’t help anything.

That said, this is something I think we can influence via constructive criticism. I think EA’s decision was a mistake and takes away from the overall quality of the game.

They should just leave post KO strikes as they were in the beta and, moving forward, incorporate ref stoppages to resolve the entire issue.

I'm not gonna lie,I'm pretty disappointed in this, not really happy the way they handled it,just looks extremely awkward the way they pan right to the winning fighter celebrating when the fighter who got starched has barely even hit the mat. I'm disappointed but not enough to deter me from enjoying this game,it's just a puzzling step backwards after making a lot of forward progress in other areas. Oh well,it is what it is

There must be some confusion, because it is being left the same as in the beta.

There were no post KO strikes in the beta either (in the way being discussed here).
