That's why I stopped caring about Strikeforce's belts. It's clear they don't take them seriously with the way they book fights.

What people aren't getting, is that Fedor never fought a skilled grappler that size. I stand by my statement that Lesnar would smash him. My legally blind friend saw those punches coming. Brock would have got fedor down and controlled him. Then donkey kong smash just like big foot.Comment

Re: Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Silva - Feb 12, 2011
yah-Coker mentioned something about Fedor being an "alternate"???
i dont get that logic AT ALL
the bracket was put together rather oddly
How will it work if Silva defeats Overeem and wins the whole thing?
Does he have to beat Overeem AGAIN to be SF HW champion???
if so-that is ridiculousComment

What's even better is now Coker is talking about Fedor fighting the loser of Overeem v Werdum. So there is a chance that Fedor will get a title shot if Overeem loses WerdumComment

What kind of tournament is this? You lose, but hey, since your one of the best fighters in MMA history you get a free pass to get back in.

someone said Lesnar would beat Fedor, i dont think so, and i like the former BIGTIME....
anyway, surprisingly 'FightMagazine' has BigFoot ranked #3 in the MMA-World, im very suprised by this, i love the guy, but i dont think he's better than Carwin, dosSantos, or even Lesnar
he's gotta win the SF title from Overeem first before you can give him that ranking!GO HEAT

Barnett wont have any issues getting licensed pretty much anywhere outside of California and maybe Vegas so I doubt this is a problem, and I only list Vegas because they are prone to follow suit with California while other states arent.Comment

The whole thing is absurd. The whole "put him back into the tournament has an alternate" is bad enough. But the whole " It's possible for him to get a title match if Overeem loses" scenario takes the cake. I mean how in the hell do you sell that? I mean you're gonna give a title shot to a guy who just got smashed against a champion, that would not only be coming off of a loss, but a loss against the man who made the guy you're giving the title shot to tap out?
Even TNA can't come up with something that absurd.
On MMATorch.com, there is a report that Fedor now says that he has had a few days to think about things back in Russia is that he is not going to retire and has a few more good fights left in him. They are talking about him fighting the loser between Overeem vs. Werdum. If Overeem does lose, I still think that SF can do the PPV they want with the finals being on it and having Overeem defend his title against Fedor which in many ways doesn't make sense since Fedor has lost 2 in a row.......but hell, could be interesting stuff and that title needs to be defended as there is no excuse that it hasn't been.Comment
