Re: Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Silva - Feb 12, 2011
This is so stupid with this tournament as they should have had all 4 fights tonight or at the most, have had the other 2 on 3/5 instead of waiting so long till April.
Frank Shamrock has to go, he just plain sucks and if he just doesn't want to answer something he changes the subject.
As sad as it is to see Fedor lose and possibly retire, better to go off on a high note than become a total joke like some guys that keep fighting around racking up loss after loss.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

The gap from 205 to 265 is just too big. Fedor doesn't need to cut weight, but Silva has to cut weight to just make 265. He probably had around 40 LBS on him by the fight. They probably need to make another class around 225-230. Then increase the top cap, but that would make too many changes in state rules.Comment

Very sad. I will always be a fan of Fedor. What a career. As a fan of his I want him to call it quits. No reason to see Fedor go out like the other greats of the past like Liddel and others. Fedor has fought in the land of giants beating just about everyone with technique while others have cut weight to get an advantage to fight at a lower weight. Fedor showed the heart of champion in his fight with Bigfoot Silva. Never give up.Last edited by Titus001; 02-13-2011, 01:36 AM.GO BUCKS!Comment

Re: Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Silva - Feb 12, 2011
Fedor days are over......He needs to retire, go back to Russia and train their special forces. He is just like Randy Coutore.......their prime is gone in the heavyweight division. Dudes nowadays in the heavyweight division come in at 265 and 255. And they have to cut just to make that.
Randy and Fedor can't hang with todays heavyweights, too much size. Technique can only take you so far ya know. Eventually that sheer size will crush you if you can't catch them in a submission.Comment

I know Strikeforce owner got to be like damn it !!!!!!! Because literally Fedor was their draw for their tournament. With Fedor out, watch their viewership take a big hit.
I am sure come Monday Fedor ranking is going to take a hit as well.Comment

Regardless of tonight, Fedor had a great run for a decade. I am glad that I got to see him fight in Chicago since it may have been the last win of his career. I heard he is doing politics in Russia now so maybe it is his time to move on from fighting. Don't underestimate Overeem, I think he may actually be the best Heavyweight in the world right now.MLB the Show - Cubs
