      I had it 48-47 Condit with him winning 1, 3, and 4.

I don't buy for a second that Diaz is retiring though. In the mean time though, before GSP is healthy I'm hoping we can get Condit/Ellenberger II.

Dude come on...just because you pushed him back doesn't mean he ran...he was not the more aggressive fighter just because he moved forward.
Why not? The only that was keeping him from boxing anyway was UFC gold and GSP. He'd prob have to fight 2-3 more fights if GSP beats Condit before he got the shot.

I agree. I say I knew it was coming because of how he almost walked away before.

I think he will give it another go and get the loser of Diego/Ellenberger

What a great gameplan by Condit and Jackson/Winklejohn though. Laid out the perfect strategy on how to beat Nick Diaz in a striking battle.

Unless Diaz completely changes his style, he would get killed in boxing.

He didn't fall into Nick's traps. Hats off. Somewhat reminded me of D. Cruz. Dipping and moving in and out. Except it was much slower and controlled.

The press conference is going to be a mess lol

Well saying "Not much for me to do here anymore." is a much better reason than what he just gave.

Was funny to hear though, now I'm waiting for Dana's response. Should be good stuff.

The reason I call it a punk move is simply because I wholeheartedly believe that it is an empty threat. A close fight doesn't go his way so he wants to retire? Peace out then, quitter. Good thing all fighters aren't like that because you probably couldn't even fill a card.

how crazy would it be if GSP said screw the title i want nick diaz!!! lol

tonights fight reminded me of edgar vs penn, condit went for the points win and didnt try to finish...i know gsp gets critisism for not finishing, but to me it's the effort to try to beat the guy in front of you. I've never seen GSP spend an entire fight backpedaling. Athough it was a good 'game plan' I have to agree a touch with diaz's sentiment.

I'd still rather see diaz vs st pierre, this fight didn't change that for me. It was a good fight, but condit was not fighting the way he usually does which mad it bitter sweet.

Boring fights. I'd be mad too if I spent an entire fight chasing someone around the ring. I'm surprised Diaz didn't just stop and back up his d#$# self.

Only boring fight I recall is Koscheck/Pierce. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't much to watch.

I think Condit won pretty easily. They wasn't any homeruns but Condit kept moving and tagging Diaz. He was efficient. Ya Diaz backed him up most of the fight but you don't win points for that. Condit had a great game plan and it worked to perfection. Keep moving, don't get backed into the cage, piss Diaz off with punches and kicks coming from all angles (you know that leg kick was really pissing Diaz off) and take your shots where you could. Diaz really only had him against the cage once and he landed 6-8 body shots. Other then that Condit was able to get away. The take down at the end was really the only time Diaz scored solid points. If this was Boxing you would say Diaz got "Out Boxed". Not sure what you would call that in MMA. Now to be honest I don't watch as much MMA (still a boxing fan) so not sure exactly what scores more points and such but just from watching I thought Condit had it in the bag after the 4th rd.

Also, really Diaz? Now you may retire? What a puss move. You got beat. Stop being a baby. I did thas and I did that. Take it like a man and have a better game plan next time. Obviously dropping your hands and egging your opponent on to try and sucker them in didn't work out to well. Small rant over.

I thought tonight's was pretty good. Certainly not the best, but far from boring, IMO.

Two birds, one stone. Condit wins and Diaz walks away. What I was impressed with most was Condit's conditioning. He also set the record for most landed leg kicks in UFC history. They were talking about it on the Fuel post fight show. Impressive.
