That kid had some serious issues too.

People need to look at how his world converted into such fantasy. Learn from it. Then try and help others that go through it and look for signs so that way people can seek help or those that could be in harms way can get out of it.

The biggest problem is our society looks at it like, if it's not in their face it's not their problem... UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO THEM and then it's a cry for everyone to look at the situations at hand.

Haven't read the thread, but keep in mind...People who are mentally ill aren't themselves. It's that simple. They don't think like normal people, there's no arguement. You want to judge people's actions, go right ahead. But anyone saying that someone who is sick is thinking with a clear head has zero idea what they're talking about.

Sources in the Fayette County Police Department are now working under the theory that Chris Benoit killed Nancy on Saturday, son Daniel on Sunday, and then killed himself earlier today.

Benoit was found dead in his weight room. Nancy was found dead in the living room. Daniel was found dead in his bedroom, accordig t an unnamed source in the department.

Lt. Tommy Pope told ABC News "the instruments of death were located on the scene," but didn't specify what those were or where they were found. Pope said the department was not actively searching for any suspects outside the house.

I understand that but you also have fans who aren't looking at this from a rational point of view. Most of them have never met the guy yet they "know" that he would never do anything like that. They want him to have a mental illness because they don't want their childhood memories tarnished but as someone said, things like this happen everyday. If he was just some guy off the street I don't think there would be very many people defending him.

That is true as well. However, most people who enjoy killing have no regard or empathy for any kind of life (human or animal) and have a history of violence (Eric Harris at Columbine for example). They're essentially psychopath's, which is different from someone who suffers from clinical depression and commits murder/suicides.

I guess we'll know more as the details continue to come out. I refuse to make judgment one way or the other until those details are released.

I used to work in a legal center whilst I was at University. I was studying Law back then and wanted to get some experience (I never went on to be a lawyer though).

Anyway...the center I was at had a lot of women who were the victims of their spouses "rage".

Often, we'd see kids bashed / even killed...

For those saying "how could any man kill their own child?"...the answer normally is that the husband sees hurting / killing the child as the ultimate way to hurt the woman.

Sometimes in a seperation...the husband would react with "if i can't have the kid, no one can" and kill the child.

Very sad, but true.

I am not saying that's what happened here. Obviously something bad did happen though if Benoit did indeed kill his own child.

There's absolutely no justification for this if it's true.

I honestly feel like throwing up...heard on the 12:30 news update on WBEN 930 here in Buffalo that, simply, "Benoit is believed to be the killer". I'm now out of bed and listening attentively to the radio to see what else they're going to talk about...I know no other dramatic developments will arise until tomorrow, but I'm seriously feeling really sick to my stomach about this story, that this man who seemed so docile (at least in his non-Kayfabe interviews on his DVD and how wrestlers described him tonight on Raw) may have become (and I say that because we all don't know for sure yet) so hostile.

EDIT: The 1:00 AM EDT CBS radio update is reporting, and I quote to the best of my ability: "Former WWE champion Chris Benoit is dead, and police aren't saying much about what happened, except that it may be a homicide." ... Sounds almost dramatically different from what WBEN is saying. Who knows who's right yet? Oh well, tomorrow could tell us something.

Poor Benoit and his family.

My DB coach in high school was cousins with Chris (I grew up in Calgary) and I was always a huge Benoit fan and like many here this is really hard for me to deal with.

I do not buy the fact that he went "crazy" because of the outcome of Sunday's match. If anyone was ever a company guy it was Benoit who always sacrificed and has paid his dues a thousand times over.

I do not doubt that the nature of his sport and the abuse on his body and mind played into this.

I, however only admired his professional life and never learned much of anything about his personal life. You have to wonder if many of his wrestling brothers who are now gone had still been alive and around for him, perhaps they could have helped him through this situation.

A very sad day for many of us.
