Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I agree that it was a weak episode, but only in the context of the Monday Night War series. On its' own, it's a nice DX retrospective. I thought last week's episode was weak too, but more on the timeline jumping and lack of focus than anything else. First two episodes were good though.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I don't think they gave them too much credit at all. I thought it was a pretty fair assessment. HBK didn't even wrestle from Royal Rumble until Wrestlemania. Like him or not, his effort in that match is something of wrestling legend.I'm a Vince McMahon Guy!

I was a big DX mark growing up, but man, WWE tries to make like DX was the greatest faction of all-time. They were good, but rank well below the nWo and the Four Horsemen in terms of making an actual impact in the industry. DX, especially after HBK went on the shelf, was an upper mid-card attraction. They certainly helped WWE but I never saw them as revolutionary.Currently Playing:

If Kevin Sullivan was able to make the Dungeon of Doom like the Army of Darkness stable from the 80s, it might have worked. I can't take a stable serious if it has Brutus Beefcake in it.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

It would have been way better had Vader been apart of it like originally planned.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm seriously loving Nitro so far. I'm sure nostalgia is playing a factor, but I never watched WCW until 1996 so I've never seen these episodes of Nitro and even though I traded tapes back in the day for all of the WCW/NWA PPVs, I don't think I watched anything before 1996 with a few exceptions.
I'm not sure if I'm genuinely entertained or entertained because it's so bad, but I just finished episode 8 which is the prelude to Halloween Havoc and it ends on a cliffhanger with the Yeti exploding out of that big ice thing. That is GOLDEN TV!
And by so bad I mean the whole Dungeon of Doom thing. The undercard on WCW Nitro has great wrestling.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Nope. I think that they are way more candid in their discussion on these things. Granted I don't watch a lot of WWE dvds, but I think that these Monday Night Wars appeal more to smark fans.Favorite Teams:
