IMO they give too much credit to DX when comes to the ratings going up during the road to Wrestlemania 14 when it was clearly Tyson/Austin. Typical WWE revisionist history.

      The weakest episode so far.

I thought they were pretty clear on saying DX was "one of" the factors in ratings. I'm sure Austin/McMahon will be covered on its' own in the future.

I agree that it was a weak episode, but only in the context of the Monday Night War series. On its' own, it's a nice DX retrospective. I thought last week's episode was weak too, but more on the timeline jumping and lack of focus than anything else. First two episodes were good though.

I don't think they gave them too much credit at all. I thought it was a pretty fair assessment. HBK didn't even wrestle from Royal Rumble until Wrestlemania. Like him or not, his effort in that match is something of wrestling legend.

I was a big DX mark growing up, but man, WWE tries to make like DX was the greatest faction of all-time. They were good, but rank well below the nWo and the Four Horsemen in terms of making an actual impact in the industry. DX, especially after HBK went on the shelf, was an upper mid-card attraction. They certainly helped WWE but I never saw them as revolutionary.

WWE was definitely overselling them last night because they were presenting them like they were the ones that started the Attitude era early on in the episode. However you are definitely underselling DX in this. Well below on making an actual impact on the industry? Nah, can't get with that man.

If Kevin Sullivan was able to make the Dungeon of Doom like the Army of Darkness stable from the 80s, it might have worked. I can't take a stable serious if it has Brutus Beefcake in it.

                  I don't even...

At least I saw Jerry Lynn/Guerrero vs Benoit/Malenko, only for them to show The Shark and Scott Norton fight.

Is anyone else having trouble logging in to the network? Its saying I'm not subscribed on my PS3, and on my laptop it won't even give me a place to put in my info.

It would have been way better had Vader been apart of it like originally planned.

I'm seriously loving Nitro so far. I'm sure nostalgia is playing a factor, but I never watched WCW until 1996 so I've never seen these episodes of Nitro and even though I traded tapes back in the day for all of the WCW/NWA PPVs, I don't think I watched anything before 1996 with a few exceptions.

I'm not sure if I'm genuinely entertained or entertained because it's so bad, but I just finished episode 8 which is the prelude to Halloween Havoc and it ends on a cliffhanger with the Yeti exploding out of that big ice thing. That is GOLDEN TV!

And by so bad I mean the whole Dungeon of Doom thing. The undercard on WCW Nitro has great wrestling.

So more thoughts on the Monday Night War series...I loved the first episode but now I feel like every episode is just a rehash of a DVD they've already released. Anyone else feeling the same?

Nope. I think that they are way more candid in their discussion on these things. Granted I don't watch a lot of WWE dvds, but I think that these Monday Night Wars appeal more to smark fans.

Watching August 9, 1999 Raw. Big nostalgia trip because I was there.

                                Michael Hayes' Hardy wardrobe...lol.
