Supposedly Flair was really big on Alex Wright.

Except for her singing....this makes Vickie and Jillian sound like a 1/10 instead of 0/10.

I’m well into the Shockmaster era in my WCW rewatch, this is the worst entrance theme I’ve ever heard. Even worse than Isaac Yankem

I feel like he had multiple entrance themes, unless they edited it on "the network," because I swear I heard him come out to some generic uptempo piano music on a clash of the champions at one point. Like they were tryin' to half *** make him a comedy character because of the way he debuted.

I really really really want to know what they hell his presentation was gonna be like if he hadn't fallen on his face in that storm trooper helmet.

I'm assuming that was his last day doing commentary on Superstars lol.

Cornette is one of those old school guys, it could be his last day doing literally anything and he'd be like "well, might as well just lay me out, stretcher job, because I'm leaving the territory."

I’m up to the Clash of the Champions in November 93 and it opens with Mean Gene pushing the hotline. I don’t remember him jumping ship this early, I thought he came in after the Hulkster

Jesse and Schiavone are an underrated commentary duo. I love how instead of just pulling for the heel in the Austin vs Pillman match Jesse is talking about how much he doesn’t want to watch the match because the Hollywood Blondes were his favorite team

Who needs cheap pop by mentioning the city's name, just make fun of Stephanie even when she's not even part of the segment and you get a big cheer.

Rock going through the history of the WCW title, funny enough WWE tried their best to cover up WCW in the late 90s as if it didn't even exist and only mention names like Flair, Steamboat and others before them.

Which brings Rock to his great line.

"We've had WCW champs like DDP, Booker T, the guy from Scream 2, the maid from the Jeffersons, the WCW title is like Stephanie Mcmahon Helmsley, everyone gets a turn!"

Also, looks like they updated the WWE Network for the first time in almost 5 years! A completely brand new interface (which I don't like so much as the old look was perfect), however, it's much more mobile friendly now. Which makes me wonder if they're trying to redesign the standalone network and integrate it within other streaming services so it won't be as bad as many have complained about it being on Peacock.

I seem to remember also there was a segment on Shotgun Saturday Night where he got his pants removed by one of the minis, and ran out of the building. Something like that, I think.

1994 WCW Worldwide: Armstrong Bros vs Pretty Wonderful... in one of oddest locations you will see a wrestling TV show lol. I'm pretty sure they filmed this the same day they did the Hulk Hogan contract signing press conference/parade, because it's basically outside in a backlot at MGM/Disney. At first I thought it was the Mall of America or something, but no.

Also: Nick Patrick is easily the most entertaining ref ever.

Funny watching Austin doing the What chants for weeks/months before it caught on with fans.

And never knew Austin tried to run over Kurt Angle in the exact same style in the exact same arena/parking lot that Austin got run over in!

About to start September 2001 shows. Didn't realize they randomly (for the first time ever?) had a LIVE Smackdown in Toronto to kick off September.

I wonder what would've happened if they were actually in Toronto the following week instead. Show still would've been postponed, but do they even attempt to get back to the US at any point (since flights were obviously cancelled)? Still hold the tribute like show but in Canada instead? They literally could've had a live broadcast planned for the following Tuesday instead (not sure why they chose September 4th for a live SD) which obviously wouldn't have happened but the timing would've been so bizarre.

I wasn't a fan back then (thought he was too over-the-top), but watching back some WCW these days and I'm laughing my *** off at how goofy he is sometimes. Very entertaining.
