    Re: Brand Split 2.0

I actually think having them compete for which show they want is a bad idea. It makes one show inferior right out of the gate. That's why I thought it would have been better to keep it a secret. Have Shane and Steph fighting and bickering to the point where Vince steps in and assigns them each a show. Then each one talks about how they're going to have the better show and out do the other.

I agree. You can't have the "loser" stuck with Smackdown.

What do you guys think they should do with the title situations? Mainly wwe world heavy championship, tag titles, and women's title.

Most people seem to be suggesting going back to the way things used to be with 2 world titles. Though I don't know why people want things to be like that. Do they not remember WWE around 06-12? It was so obvious Raw was the superior brand and WWE title will always be THE title. Having more titles would just make things not as prestigious(like how Cena is a 15 time world champ, cause there were 2 world titles at once), and just makes the writing even more uncreative than it is(cause the more titles they have, the less creative they need to be with feuds, since they can just do the generic "I want your title" story to start a feud).

If they're gonna keep Raw 3 hours then I think they need to leave women's division to Raw.

Tag titles are tough Cuz they don't do a great job of building multiple teams other than the two in the title picture.

The heavyweight is tough Cuz I'm not sure they know how to make 2 different heavyweight titles be on equal to one another.

They are going to need two titles imo. The brand split doesn't make sense without two champions.

It'll be fine, unless they make one of them the clear inferior. Which they will.

I know there was a post about it in here, but I couldn't find it. After watching the one from 2002, whoever said it should be like the first draft with the panel analyzing each pick would be awesome.
                    NFL- Green Bay Packers
                    NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
                    NHL- Carolina Hurricanes

Ya, that's what I said. Maybe not every single pick, unless it is like the 02 draft where there's time for commentary inbetween picks while the superstar makes his way from the lockerroom to the stage to meet his new GM.
We absolutely need to have a 2002 style draft. Every superstar in the lockerroom, all anxiously awaiting to see where they get drafted. And getting to see every one of their reactions to being drafted and everything. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8g4J8xTXr-c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Speaking of which, I'm definitely gonna re-watch the 2002 draft episode before this new draft happens.

Splitting up the tag division would be a horrendous idea.

Being the wrestling nerd I am, and having done this type of thing MANY times in the past on older Smackdown vs Raw videos games for the PS2, I went and did my own Mock Draft, if you will. It's not by any means perfect or what WWE will do, but just what I think.

Champions on both shows, whoever they may be come Draft time: WWE WHC, Women's, Tag Team,

                          Smackdown: US Title

I do not think WWE will have their golden boy, John Cena, on Smackdown. No matter how much they will want to make the shows equal, RAW will be seen as superior. But I think John Cena can play the veteran role on Smackdown, the same way The Undertaker did for years. Having Cena on Smackdown would certainly help the illusion that the shows will be "equal"

I didn't include any NXT stars in this, but I'm sure they'll bring some up to help fill out the rosters. But you can't gut NXT either.

RAW will and should probably have a few more stars, being 3 hours.

Smackdown airing live will FINALLY get me to watch it live, instead of DVR'ing it, or reading the spoilers. Let Paul Heyman write backstage for Smackdown.

You'll see I didn't include Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho, or The Undertaker above. Part time stars.

I hope they do the 2002 style draft. (I still have the 2002 Draft on VHS somewhere) Superstars in the locker room, waiting to hear their name, etc. And then a panel w/Renee, Lawler, Booker T, Corey Graves, etc discussing everything. Maybe Shane & Steph "trade" superstars like Triple H was traded for Booker T & The Dudleyz in 2004.

Cena on Smackdown makes the most sense as it would elevate the profile of that show. I'm hearing rumblings that this brand split may lead to a WM main event of Cena/Reigns.

Boom...I was reading Wrestling Observer earlier today and that was what they said. It's most likely going to be Reigns on Raw and Cena on SD for that exact reason. Cena's profile will boost the ratings on SD. I'll look for the article on this. And edit my post when I find it.
