I seriously can't help but feel that part of the reasoning of separating Cena and Reigns is because they don't want Cena to steal Reigns' thunder. You know if they were both on RAW and feuding that Cena would suddenly become a mega babyface.

Re: Brand Split 2.0
I was thinking more along the lines of put the guys with "da look" on Raw and all the internet darlings on Smackdown. Maybe fans won't mind seeing the Cenas and Reigns on top as much on Raw if the Styles, Owens,Zayns etc are all on one Smackdown and being protectedComment

Re: Brand Split 2.0
I'm really excited for this for a number or reasons.
First off, the only thing I'm disappointed about is the fact that guys like Stardust/Sandow/Ryback are definitely gonna be missing out.
I'm mainly excited for guys like Ambrose, Styles, Cesaro, Zayn, and Owens to get a chance to reach that main event level. I love what they're all doing now, but, assuming Reigns is on Raw and Cena is on Smackdown, or both are on Raw, they definitely have the chance to all get multiple world title matches within the next year. Of course there's gonna have to be SOME midcarders/upper midcarders on Raw too, but these guys all have a chance to start main eventing, no matter what brand they're on.
I absolutely love the brand split, I first started watching back in '06, so that's probably why lol.
I love the fact that (probably) the Tag teams will all be one show and the divas will all be one show. There's not enough of either to have one title on each brand so I assume it will be like the Cruiserweight/Divas in the ruthless aggression era. The only thing is I'm worried how they'll be booked when there's only 2-3 hours to book both divisions on one show.
Lastly, not only will some midcarders reach that upper midcard status and some upper midcarders will reach (hopefully) main event status, but lower card guys like Ryder will get more of a chance and some could even get pushed up to win their respective brands midcard title.
I'm super excited for all the possibilities.Comment

Re: Brand Split 2.0
The continued infatuation with Ryder baffles me. He got his push, he dropped the ball. When featured regularly it became apparent why he isn't featured at a higher level. He simply isn't that good.

Re: Brand Split 2.0
I'm wondering if the "Hatch" pictures they have been promoting on Twitter have to do with the return of the Big Gold Belt and that at MITB there will be a ladder match to determine the "New" World Heavyweight Champion. Either way, I'm excited but at the same I hate it for guys like Cody, Sandow, Barrett and others who got released who would have thrived under this new brand split and not gotten lost in the shuffle.Comment

Re: Brand Split 2.0
Yep, keep them apart from each other until Mania 33. Then the Raw vs SD match would be that, Cena vs Reigns. That's the one thing I'm going to like about this brand split, it's going to keep superstars apart from each other and when they finally meet, it will be special.

Let's wait and see what they do with those types of guys that are still on the roster like Ziggler, Ryder, Breeze, Neville, etc. Because these guys all aren't being used correctly either. So if these guys get a push then I can say that the aforementioned Barrett, Ryback, Stardust, Sandow would've thrived if the guys I mentioned actually did well because of the brand split.
