Hey, Don Coryell, do you know by any chance what the average number of possessions for a game are. I know you gave the following formula earlier, but I was wondering how many possessions I should be getting. (I am starting my HP dynasty back up.)

              (FTA/2) + FGA + TO - OREB = # of posessions

              Thanks!

It depends on the teams and the styles involved.

In real life, High Point games had a high of 163 and a low of 115 against division I schools. The average of all those games is 132. (FYI, the 163 possession game was against VMI, a very high uptempo team.)

That is unfortunate. Hopefully, you can still play well without your floor general on the court at point guard. The point guard is a terrible position to lose as he always has the ball for the most part each possession, with the exception of fast breaks.

This is the second time this season that Adam Lonon has been injured. He suffered a broken finger in the game against the Rice Owls back on November 26. During the first time, Christian Hunter replaced him in the starting line up and I gave more playing time to freshman PG Rudolph Borders and placed freshman C Immanuel Forte on the bench as the 12th man. Due to Sargent continuing to get into foul trouble, I'm going to do that again.

During that time, we went 4-1 with Hunter as the starting PG including wins over Kent State and James Madison at home and Vanderbilt on the road.
