    BEAVER MAKE IT 3 STRAIGHT!!

For the 3rd straight year, the Oregon State Beavers have advanced to the Elite 8 as 7'0 JR W. Ray scores a career/season high 34 points and grabs 11 rebounds in the (108-55) win over #13 Niagara.

OSU will play #2 Marquette who defeated #3 Miami FL (95-94).

Waiting for them in a possible Final 4 matchup will be the winner of #7 Cincinnati and #5 Saint Joseph's. The Bearkats ended the possibility of a Pac-10 rematch as they beat #3 Washington (110-69) well Saint Joe's took down #9 Villanova behind 32 points (5/11 3pt) from SR SG L. Phelps.

On the other side of the bracket, #5 Pitt defeats Big East Rival Georgetown (70-68) making OSU the only #1 seed left in the tournament.

Well #3 Washington's run is over, #11 USC continues to make the news as the Trojans defeat #10 Saint Louis to advance to a Elite 8 matchup with the Panthers.

Joining them will be #8 Tennessee who moves on after beating #4 Texas Tech (87-85) and #2 Notre Dame who ended Saint Mary's run (103-62) behind 6 players in double digits including a career high from JR SG V. Newsom (21 pts) off the bench.

      WE ARE DOWN TO 4!!

The Oregon State Beavers are 1 step closer to ending a almost 10 year drought of not having a team repeat as National Champs.

OSU defeated #2 Marquette (81-69) in the Elite 8 matchup, as 5 players hit double digits led by SO PG A. Gerlach 16 points.

Standing in the Beavers way for a chance to play for the title will be #7 Cincinnati who defeated #5 Saint Joe's (78-65) to advance to the school's 8 Final 4 appearance.

The Bearkats are no stranger to playing for National Titles or of being repeat champs. Cincinnati won back to back titles in 1961 and 1962 defeating Ohio State both years.

Waiting for the winner will be the winner of #6 Pitt and #8 Tennessee. The Panthers ended #11 USC's Cinderella story with a (75-63) win well #8 Tennessee came from behind to beat # Notre Dame (90-88) to earn 3rd trip to the Final 4.

OREGON STATE WILL LOOK TO MAKE HISTORY!

Coach Deuce and the Oregon State Beavers will look to become just the 15 school in NCAA history to win multiple National Titles, and just the 9th to do so in back to back seasons, and the first Pac-10 team to do so since UCLA won 7 straight from 1967-1973.

OSU cruised in their Final 4 matchup vs #7 Cincinnati taking a (48-33) lead at the half and doubling that lead in the 2nd half as they win by 30 (95-65).

SO PF E. Law's led the way with a career/season high 18 pts well also grabbing 8 rebs off the bench. SR S. Chavez also added 11 points from the bench well SR SG R. Spears (16 pts 3/6) and W. Ray (16 pts 11 reb) led the starting unit.

Using the same formula of success, #8 Tennessee will advance to face OSU as they too will be looking for their 2nd National Title in school history. The Vols beat #5 Pitt (98-68)

BEAVERS MAKE IT 2 IN A ROW!!

Coming into the title game, most around the country figured on a high scoring affair as the Vols were coming off 98 points in their win over Pitt and OSU had just scored 95 against Cincy.

However neither offense really got flowing in the 1st half as Oregon State takes the 1 point lead into the half (34-33).

The Beavers opened the 2nd half with a 10-0 run and that proved to be the difference maker. With W. Ray struggling with foul issues, the backcourt of Gerlach and Spears stepped up to combine for 26 points 13 rebs and 7 assists well shooting 4/9 from 3pt. Ray did manage to add 10 before fouling out with 2 minutes to play well SR S. Chavez playing in his last game as a Beaver added 10 pts and 5 reb off the bench.

                FINAL SCORE OSU-78 TENNESSEE-66

                Coach Deuce
"I am very proud of these guy's. We put "Repeat" on the whiteboard inside our locker room at the beginning of the season and made it our #1 goal. It is a great feeling to send Spears, Taft and Chavez out as 2 time champions. They were my 1st recruiting class when I got to OSU, so they will always hold a special place in my heart, especially Spears who was my first 5* AA and now is set to become the first player to turn pro (Another Attribute point earned)"

COLORADO MAKES COACH DEUCE HIGHEST PAID COACH IN THE NATION!!

It's official everyone, Coach Ryne "The Deuce" Derozan is leaving Oregon State after back to back National Titles in 4 years to take over the Colorado Buffalo's.

With rumors of potential job offers from Duke, South Carolina, North Carolina and Louisville, Colorado moved quickly offering "The Deuce" a 3 year contract that will play the 34 yr old a salary of 10 million per year with a bonus if the Buffs make it to the Final 4.

Coming off his 2nd NCAA Coach of the Year award well guiding the Beavers to back to back titles, Coach Deuce's stock was higher then ever, but most experts felt like a return to Oregon State was a give. Despite losing 3 SR's, OSU returns 7'0 W. Ray the nation's "Defensive Player of the Year", who lead the Beavers in scoring (17.0 PPP), rebounding (6.3 RPG) and Block shots (2.4 BPG), as well as fellow Seniors to be PG A. Gerlach and SF/PF R. Conroy.

OSU was also expected to have a Top-10 recruiting class coming in with 5* JC transfer A. Harmon, 4* SG J. Torbet (#63 Overall), 3* C F. Willis (#116 Overall/#2 C) joining the early commiment of 4* SF Trayvonn Damon (Wonzer21)

So what was the move to Colorado just about the money?

COACH DEUCE LANDS #7 OVERALL CLASS

The Colorado Buffalo's are coming off back to back NCAA appearances despite not finishing hire then 4th place in the Big 12 the past 2 seasons and despite winning just 17 games last season.

With 4 starters graduating, which included the teams top 3 scorers and best player 6'6 SF R. Ervin (18.3 PPG), Coach Deuce knew he and his staff would need to be at the top of their game if they were going to rebuild the program quickly. However really it wasn't the signing of Coach Deuce that brought in the recruits but was really the signing that already took place that brought the young coach.

All season long, Deuce was in a recruiting battle with Colorado over a player whom he considers a little brother, and when 5* TJ Youngblood (Ranked #4 Overall/#3 SF announced he was turning down the Beavers to become a Buff, everyone close to Coach II knew he too would be heading to Boulder.

                    Coach Deuce
"To be honest the money is great, but I am more excited about the opportunity to Coach TJ and to return to Colorado, where i got my coaching career started just a few miles away at Northern Colorado. TJ has the skill set to be our go to guy next season and I honestly see no reason why he can't easily come in and replace Ervin's 18+ PPG"

Youngblood however shouldn't have to put up 18 PPG, because joining him in Boulder next season are 4-Top-200 recruits including 3 high school Mr BB's.

4* D'Marr Torres out of Albuquerque New Mexico, is a 6'2 PG, ranked #86 Overall and the #34 PG. New Mexico's MR BB, Torres averaged 12.8 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 4.1 APG and 3.4 SPG last season well shooting over 30% from downtown.

3* Jospeh Bauer is out of near by Denver Colorado. A 6'2 SG, Bauer was ranked #114 Overall and #36 SG and was named Colorado's Mr BB. Like Torres he put up solid #'s last season averaging 12.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 3.4 APG and 1.8 SPG well shooting 29% from 3pt.

3* SF Phillip Ridnour (Ranked #121 Overall/#24 SF) is from Laramie Wyoming, where has named Wyoming's Mr BB. At 6'8 203lbs, Ridnour will most likely mover to PF next season as he joins Youngblood in the front court's starting lineup

3* PG Spanky Krager (Ranked #198 Overall/#62 PG) is out of Aurora Colorado and rounds out this 5 man class. Despite being just 5'11 Krager proved he was capable of putting up solid #'s across the board last summer in the ABL when he averaged 14.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 4.4 APG, and 1.3 SPG well shooting almost 40% from 3pt (17/44).

                    Coach Deuce
"I am really excited about this class. With 4 potential starters I believe this is the foundation we needed for our roster in order for us to duplicate the kind of success I had in my previous 2 stops"

                      DUKE BRINGS HOME #1 CLASS!!

After a disappointing loss in Round 1 of the NCAA tournament which left Coach K still 2 wins shy of 1000, the Duke Blue Devils reloaded and brought in enough talent for Coach K to try and win his 4th NCAA title, as they signed 3 5* McDonald's All-Americans and 4 high school Mr Basketball's.

UCLAwith 2 late signings of 5* AA's jumped to #2, well Florida lands at #3 with the early signing of SG Jackson Freeman (southermedalhead).

Oregon originally projected to be #1 with the signing of the #1 Overall player in the country Rex Robinson (Vicebeliever42) and 5* AA PG N. Hughes as well as another 5* AA and 3 4* recruits lands at #4

                      Coach Deuce
"I am shocked that Oregon didn't get the #1 Class. With 6 players in the Top-100, including the #1 Overall, you can't ask for much more"
UNLV, also had a big class adding 5 players(1 5* and 4-4*) to their roster including SF Kendall Jenkins (Beast10) and for their efforts they land at #5.

Alabama finished the season #1 in the Top-25 Media/Coaches Poll and road that success to another Top-10 class as they sign 4-4* recruits to land at #6.

Well Colorado was #7 and Oregon State was #10, the teams that fell in between where #8 Indiana and #9 Washington.

Also noted, Stanford was #13, Arizona State was #14, Texas A&M was #15, Oklahoma State was #16, and Oklahoma was #18

                        COLORADO ANNOUNCES 2017 SCHEDULE!!

The Coach Deuce Era at Colorado will start in Madison Square Garden as the Buffalo's kick off the season in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic in a opening round matchup with Saint Mary's.

The Gaels are coming off a Cinderella run in last year's tournament but will be under the guidance of a new Head Coach, as former HC Randy Bennett is now in Corvallis taking over for Coach Deuce at Oregon State.

Depending on the outcome, the Buff's would then take on either Grambling or W. Kentucky for a chance to win the A Division and move on to face the winner of the B Division (Memphis,E. Illinois, Dayton, Maine). The 16 team tournament also has #12 Alabama in the C Division and Syracuse in the D Division.

Sandwiched in between the tournament will be Colorado's 1st home game of the season on 11/7 as the Buff's and Coach Deuce host Northern Colorado, as Coach Deuce get's a look at his former team. Then 9 days later, the Buffalo's play host to another instate rival (Air Force) as they host the Falcons on 11/16.

Colorado will then take to the road with 3 straight games @ Utah (11/27), @ Colorado State (11/30) and @ USC (12/3), before returning home to host Florida (12/10) and Oregon (12/15).

Then on Christmas Eve in what should be a sold out affair, Coach Deuce will make his 1st return trip to Corvallis to face #15 Oregon State, before closing out non-conference play with games at home vs UTEP and Boise State

                        Coach Deuce
"Well our schedule isn't full of Top-25 programs, I feel like it will still be very challenging. I love the fact we have 3 games against instate schools. Despite the fact none play in the Big 12 with us, I plan on making playing them a part of our non-conference schedule as often as we can. I am also excited about our Big 12 vs Pac-10 challenge and playing OSU, Oregon and USC will obviously get the heart a pumping. We are also really excited to bring in a school like Florida to our campus here in Boulder and I look forward to our return trip to the Swamp next season"
Colorado will open up Big 12 play on 1/7 hosting #23 Oklahoma, which will be the lone meeting between the 2 schools this season.

**Noted, this year Colorado will play Kansas twice, the Jayhawks open the year as the #1 team in the country**.

Thanks, it was a tough decision to leave because only Coach Wooden and the Bruins have every 3-peated and I feel like I probably had a pretty good chance had I stayed, however the chance to coach my created player and go all in for attribute points I have never earned like a 2K Sports Award winner was to good to pass up. So yeah a big change in play style for the next 3-4 years. Instead of having 3-5 players in double digits, my goal will be to get Youngblood the ball as much as possible.

The Big East looks to carry the #1 Conference RPI this year with 5 teams in the Top-10 and 7 in the Top-25.

Coach Deuce switched from the Pac-10 to the Big 12, but shouldn't see much of a drop off in terms of competition as both conferences have 4 teams in the Top-25.

Now the question is how well will OSU do under Coach Bennett. Will they 3-Peat? or will Washington, USC and UCLA get the best of them in Pac-10 play.

Another burning question is how well will Coach Deuce do in Year 1 at Colorado with 2 matchup's vs #1 Kansas and #23 TAMU plus Texas on the road and Texas Tech at home on Senior Night.

Will any other Major or Mid-Majors make the jump this season to elite status besides UNLV.
