    Boston - Game 2 - 2022 1st Round

    Celtics Give Up

This game was never in doubt and the 76ers destroyed the Celtics especially in the 2nd half winning by over 40 points.

Ball once again was horrible going 4 of 20 from the field and 1 of 9 from 3. The Celtics have needed him to step up and so far in 2 games you couldn't dream of a worse performance from the former 1st overall draft pick. He cant get all the blame as Jaylon Brown also played bad only going 4 of 19 from the field.

You have to credit the defense for Philly 1st holding Boston to under 100 points while getting 16 steals and 13 blocks. Embiid and Bol post similar stat lines as both flirted with 20 - 20 games. Sexton was the one player not in double figures last game and made up for it tonight going 7 of 9 and scoring 20. Ben was quite and saw him minutes cut back with the big lead.

      Boston - Game 3 - 2022 1st Round

      76ers Rolling

We talked about how Philly sleepwalked during the regular season and was going to have to try and flip the switch come playoff time. That's exactly what has happened as they go up 3 to 0 on the #1 seed. With Boston being out two starters this series is unofficially over.

The elite defense for Philly continues to make life hard for Ball who went 9 of 23 while Brown went 4 of 12. Boston usually beats everyone with the defense and rebounding duo down low. Philly can easily match that with Bol and Embiid two guys who always finish top 5 in defense player of the year. It was once again a balanced night scoring for the 76ers as 8 guys scored in double digits lead by Ben's 23. They are also sharing the ball with +15 assist in this game.

Your 76ers are rolling, albeit against my Celtics The Kyrie injury was a huge break for you.

One another note, (if you didn't already know) on your screenshots to take the circle from underneath the players you hit R1 and L1 at the same time.

Good luck the rest of the series.... but not too much luck, against my Celtics.#1 seed about to get swept by #8. Embarrassing.

I have tried my best to make the Celtics a rival for me during this and hasn’t really happened. They have only made it to the eastern finals once and the first few years did nothing. I even went and upped the ratings for brown and Tatum I might need to do that some more. I will do a offseason preview of them when the time comes.

I really didn’t want to play them round 1 as I wanted a rematch with them down the line just I lost 8 of 10 down the stretch. Irving get hurt was a bummer as I knew after that the series was prob over. When they are at full strength they are deadly as bamba and DJ on the glass, ball and Irving and Gaurds and then Tatum and brown at wings.

Thanks for the tip on the circle I didn’t know that and fixed it for game 4

            Boston - Game 4 - 2022 1st Round

            Sweep

This was a back and forth game and the Celtics had a very good chance to extend the series. The key play in the game was a offensive rebound by Bol Bol and a assist to Roco for a 3 in the final minute. A missed 3 by Ball and rebound by Embiid would end the game. The 76ers have shocked the NBA world playing terrible to close the season losing 8 of 10 to sweeping the #1 seed Boston Celtics. If your a Boston fan you have to be saying wait till next year when you are back healthy. They will have to make some changes as they don't have the cap space to sign Bamba and Jordan since they are paying big $ to so many other players.

Ball played the best game of the series with 27 points and 13 assist on 10 of 24 shooting. Jaylen Brown once again had no success against the A+ defense of Covington. Bamba was out played by Bol Bol and Jordan was nothing special.

Ben got another triple double and took advantage of mismatch with 26 points and a remarkable 11 of 14 from the field. Embiid and Bol once again post similar monster lines while Samanic capped off his 17 point night with a amazing ally oop dunk.

            Samanic Is a future star

Ben was the best player on the court this series

Should Ball or Irving be traded or keep them both?

We have lost count of how many titles the Warriors have won and despite changes they never miss a beat. Steve Kerr is now coaching the Spurs and Klay has been in LA for a few years. Last year was the first year they didn’t win a title since the blew the 3 to 1 lead to the Cavs. This roster looked like the weakest in a long time and still they won 70 games with defense role players surrounding the big 2.

The good news Dallas is back in the playoffs the bad it’s the 8th seed and the roster is to talented to not be making it to the 2nd round. They have 2 star players in Bagley and Smith and a lot of really good pieces around them. This years #2nd overall pick Saramango won rookie of the year. The mavs are a very deep team with a good mix of young guys and vets

              Dennis Smith vs Stephen Curry
Dennis is the 2nd option for the Mavs and if they are going to pull off the upset then he has to play just as good as Steph does.

              What's to Gain / Lose
It’s hard to see the Warriors losing this series as they are rolling now. Curry and Durant are both FA’s so if they don’t win the title this would be 2 years in a row and both are close to mid 30’s. Would one of them consider moving to another team if they lose early? The window for the Warriors dynasty is coming to a end and this is a pivotal year. The mavs days of having cap space are also coming to a end as soon they will be paying max $ to the young core.

The Nuggets are a fun team they have two star in players Isaiah and Jokic with a young core surrounding them. They aren’t a good defense team and have some holes at backup PF/C. They should be the favorites and are expected to advance for the first time in a really long time.

The Thunder are another team that’s been stuck in the early playoff exit and that’s not likely to change this year. Russell is still elite even as he gets close to mid 30’s just the big 3 of him Carmelo and Adams aren’t good enough to win a title. The bench is one of the weakest in the playoffs. They still have Westbrook so the only chance they have of making noise is to carry the team on his back.

Even if OKC get the win here they have no real shot next round against Golden State. Its likely going to be time to make some major moves and trying to get Russ some help as his days of being elite are coming to a end. They may even have to do the unthinkable and trade him while they can still get some major value for him. A series win here for Denver would make everyone happy a loss likely means its time to go younger without Isaiah.

The Timberwolves surprised the world last year and blew out the 76ers in game 7 to win the title. They have 4 stars in Butler, KAT, Wiggins and Zion Williamson. They aren’t a perfect team as they are weak at PG and the bench outside of Patton. Zion is much better then his overall shows he is.

The Grizzles are a odd team they have as much depth as anyone in the league. The problem they don’t have a superstar and are heavy at SF. With the two players they have hurt it will be a little easier then normal figuring out who gets the minutes.

                  Major Injuries
T.J Warren (84 ovr) - He got hurt the last few days of the regular season Akot will soak up his minutes

                  2nd Unit
The Grizzles have depth and the Wolves don’t so the 2nd unit for Memphis has to stand out here.

                  What's to Gain / Lose
Nobody expects Memphis to win here so they are playing with house money here. They do have to pick out a few players to be the core and remove the logjam for minutes. The Wolves should win here easy and just need to come out of this healthy

It looked like the blazers were going to rebuild and then they resigned all of the big 3 to make one last run at wining the West. When you look outside the big 3 they have a ton of depth at bigs with Collins, Mccoy and Swanigan. The biggest issue is SF where its Evan Turner and young Little. If they can get solid play from the SF spot they could surprise as they have top end talent and a good bench.

The spurs have two elite players in Leonard and Murray for the series with a cast of average players around them. They will need Robinson back healthy if they want to make a deep postseason run. The Spurs should win this one just going up against Minnesota next round is where the run likely ends.

The blazers doesn’t have quality years left in them infact this could be the last serious chance they have. They were very lucky to get everyone back this past off season and are another team that could look at a major shakeup with a early playoff exit. This is year 1 with new coach Steve Kerr and they could be forced to move on from some veteran players like Bledsoe and Vucevic this offseason. If they can win this round that should be enough to please the fans and come back next year with a new look team.

If you are new the Pistons have surprisingly been an elite team in the east from the start. They are just a nightmare of defense with Drummond, Bradley, Beverly, MKG, Stanley Johnson and Jaren Jackson. The loss of Kemba Walker is huge as he is the main and only real scoring threat. They are a unique team that's capable of bring home a title.

The Bulls are slowly getting better just not quite ready to be legit championship contenders. They have the players to pull off the upset here especially with the Pistons short handed. They have R.J Barrett who is a all star, Robert Williams a former defense player of the year, Mushidi just won this year’s 6th man award and veterans guys like Heyward, Levine and Dedmon.

                      Major Injuries
Kemba Walker (90 ovr) Will miss the whole series and should be back for round 2.

                      Key Matchup
Beverly / Reggie Jackson vs Zach Levine

With no Kemba Walker the PG match up gets more attention this may be the weak spot for both teams starting lineup.

                      What's to Gain / Lose
Both teams have expectations of making the Eastern Finals and the path to the finals for whoever wins is brutal and likely to hard to overcome. If the Bulls lose they will have to seriously look at making a trade to bring in a star player. The Pistons just need to find a way to survive this round while Kemba is out injured. This should be a fun and long series.

The heat are finally back in the playoffs and headed in the right direction after being saddled with no draft pick and bad contracts for about 5 years. They heat have depth at bigman just none of them on the level of what the hawks have.

Anthony Davis shocked the NBA world when he joined the Hawks this summer. A big reason he decided to was to team up with Dan Little the #1 overall pick who is already up to 85 overall as a rookie. They also have Ayton a elite Center and a lot of depth at Guard and SF. The Hawks should win this one pretty easy.

Bam and Whiteside both aren't 100% so Qi will get the most minutes against Anthony Davis.

                        What's to Gain / Lose
Davis signed a short-term deal so a lot of pressure is on the hawks to win and prove to him are headed in the right direction. The Heat aren’t expected to win the series so just getting it to 6 games would be nice. This is a big series for Justice Winslow who is in the final year of his contract. The heat should have cap space and will be a player in FA with a good showing here.

The Bucks have been stuck in the same place for years with the same basic roster and 1st or 2nd round playoff exit. They have one of the better players in the NBA and have failed to even get close to winning the East. They are a very talented team just without much size.

The raptors were suppose to be rebuilding and somehow got the 5th seed despite having the weakest roster in the playoffs. They are several teams not in the playoffs that are way more talented then they are on paper. They are a balanced team with some depth just don’t have the stars to get past the 2nd round. They are a team with a lot of veterans in place so a quick exit could start a full fledge rebuild around the young all star PG.

                          What's to Gain / Lose
The raptors are playing with house money as nobody expected them to make it this far. This will likely be the last series for Derzon as he will likely shift to a reserve role on a championship caliber team next year. It’s a must win series for the Bucks are you could start hearing trade demands from your star player. Even if they make it to the 2nd round Maker and Middleton could be gone as both have expiring contracts.

                              Raptors - Game 1 - 2022 2nd Round

                              Lockdown Defense

We didn't do a preview of this series because despite the Raptors being the #3 seed and the 76ers the 8th seed. We would be stunned if this makes it to 6 games. The Raptors have a lot of depth even with a few guys like Entes Kanter out for series. They just don't have the top end talent to win 4 of 7 games. We would project more form Bol and Embiid as this is a much easier matchup then last series.

The elite defense once again lead the way as the 76ers cruised to a easy victory holding Toronto to 83 points. The young all star PG Hagans did his job just didn't get any help. Bol lead the way for the 76ers with 19 points and 16 rebounds with another balanced effort scoring for the 76ers.

                                Raptors - Game 2 - 2022 2nd Round

                                Hagans Gets No Help

This game wasn't much different then the 1st one as Philly once again played lockdown defense holding Toronto to only 90 points. Just like last game Hagans did his part with 32 points on 13 of 23 just didn't get any help. If they are even going to win a game or two someone else has to step up and score and things could even get worse. Derozan left the game with a injury so he could miss game 3 and maybe even game 4.

Ben was quite this game and didn't matter as Fultz scored 28 and added 9 assist. Toronto got destroyed down low Embiid had 24 points, 21 rebounds, 3 assist and 5 blocks. Bol was everywhere 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals and 5 blocks. Its looking like this could be a sweep as the series heads back to Philly for the next 2 games.
