Whoa, looks like the Vikings are better without Moss.

Nice win over the Steelers, now beat the Bengals.

Ravens' defense tears down Bengals, forces deadlock in AFC North

CINCINNATI, OH- In the week leading up to the biggest game of the season, old school Ray Lewis emerged, talking trash like only he can.

"I'mma blow some people up, make some people cry...the Bengals are all ladies anyway, they know who the men are on the field when we play em..." Lewis said to the media, "They ain't got no reason to worry though, the pain is only temporary."

Lewis backed up his talk on the field with 12 tackles and a PAIR of interceptions--one of which he returned 47 yards for a touchdown--as the Ravens tied the Bengals in the AFC North with a 31-3 thrashing, while forcing seven turnovers.

The win gave the Ravens revenge on the Bengals, who beat them 27-24 in the first meeting of the season.

The Ravens laid their offense in the hands of Jamal Lewis, as Anthony Wright threw only nine passes, completing 4 of them. Jamal carried an amazing 47 times for 169 yards and a pair of TDs.

Jon Kitna was roughed up by the Ravens' swarming defense, as he completed almost as many passes to Ravens as Bengals. He was 7-21 for 106 yards and FIVE interceptions. Rudi Johnson found little success with 20 carries for 69 yards. Chad Johnson was shut down again, catching only three passes for 45 yards.

Along with Ray's awesome performance, his protege Ed Reed had 6 stops and a pair of goalline interceptions. Will Demps added the Ravens' fifth INT. Adalius Thomas had 6 tackles, and Anthony Weaver had a sack.

Brian Simmons had 9 tackles, and Anthony Simmons had 8 for the Bengals. They had no interceptions or sacks.

The Ravens, back at the top, look to continue their upswing next week at home vs. the Houston Texans.

LOL I love the Jags, but I didn't let them win, heh. I was PISSED after that game.

They started 4-1, but right now they're 6-5, a game behind the Bengals and Chiefs in the Wildcard.

              Ravens' Keys to the Game

              1. Keep Andre Johnson out of the endzone, he has a nose for it.

              2. Dunta Robinson cuts our field in hald. Focus on the other corner and use the slot receiver.

              3. David Carr scares me. He can torch a defense any week. Make sure our corners are ready.

              Key Matchups
              1. Chris McAlister vs. Andre Johnson
              2. Derrick Mason vs. Dunta Robinson
              3. Mark Clayton vs. Phillip Buchanon

              Week 13 AFC North Matchups

Jaguars (6-5) @ Browns (5-6)- Former divisional rivals face off in the midst of a wildcard race.

Bengals (7-4) @ Steelers (4-7)- The Bengals have lost two straight, and must rebound from their embarassing loss to the Ravens last week.

              Monday Night Football

Seahawks (6-5) @ Eagles (7-4)- The Seahawks are still trying to establish themselves as contenders, and a big step in doing so would be beating the perenial contenders, the Eagles.

              Game of the Week

Jets (6-5) @ Patriots (9-2)- The always heated rivalry between the Jets and Pats is enhanced by Ty Law's return to Foxboro, this time wearing Jets' green.

Ravens unleash hell on Texans in 55-14 drubbing

BALTIMORE, MD- The vaunted Ravens' defense, known for forcing turnovers like the plague, started off slow to start the season.

They tried to make up for it all in one game, as they intercepted SIX passes and scored on two of them in a 55-14 raping of the Houston Texans.

While the defense went nuts, and Anthony Wright's day was easy, going 9-18 for 160 yards, it was Jamal Lewis that ruled the day, carrying 37 times for 259 yards and 4 touchdowns, averaging SEVEN yards a carry. Mark Clayton and Todd Heap each caught 3 passes, for 47 and 55 yards respectively.

For the second straight game the Ravens' defense put the opposing QB through hell, as David Carr threw 27 passes, completing only a third of them, and the six interceptions. Domanick Davis carried 22 times for a tough 59 yards and a TD. Corey Bradford caught 2 passes for 99 yards. Chris McAlister continued his domination of WRs, as star Andre Johnson had a single catch for 29 yards.

Ray Lewis continued to rack up the tackles, getting 12 of them, 2 of them for sacks. He also forced a fumble, that was recovered by Ed Reed. Along with that, Reed had 6 tackles and a pair of interceptions, the 2nd one he nearly scored on. After have 1 INT in the first 10 games, Reed has 4 in the last two. Samari Rolle, Chris McAlister, Tommy Polley and Adalius Thomas each had an INT, Polley and C-Mac scoring on their. Thomas added 6 tackles.

Safeties Marcus Coleman and Glenn Earl led the Texans with 9 tackles each, since Jamal Lewis rumbled into the secondary on basically EVERY play. Jason Babin and Morlon Greenwood each had 6 tackles. Antwan Peek had 4 stops and a sack.

The 8-4 Ravens travel far west next week, taking on the Denver Broncos.

                          Jamal Lewis speaks out
Running Back nearing end of run with Ravens?

DENVER, CO- A few days after one of his greatest games of his career, you'd think Jamal Lewis would be all smiles.

                          He's just the opposite.

In an interview in the locker room after a practice in Denver leading up to the Ravens' game with the Broncos, the star HB revealed that he has been at odds with Ravens' management since the start of Training Camp.

"I know that management's new and all, but I made it clear I wanted to renegotiate my contract, and they basically gave me the cold shoulder," Lewis explained to a slew of microphones crowded around his locker.

Lewis is in the final year of his contract, making $8.6 million this year. When asked for comment on this situation, Ravens' General Manager Brian Kudron had little to say.

"We have a number of players who want new deals and are in the final year of their contracts. No one player if more important than the team."

Other notable players in their final years of their contracts besides Lewis include current starting QB Anthony Wright, backup RB Chester Taylor, troubled WR Koren Robinson, anchor DT Kelly Gregg, starting ROLB Tommy Polley, FS Will Demps, punter Dave Zastudil, and CB Chris McAlister.

                            Ravens' Keys to the Game

                            1. Al Wilson can pile up 20 tackles in a game. Keep him away from the HB.

                            2. Champ Bailey is the definition of a shutdown corner. Expect him to give us problems.

                            3. Stay away from Trevor Pryce. Roll backs to his side and wear on him all day.

                            Week 14 AFC North Matchups

Browns (6-6) @ Bengals (7-5)- The Bengals are in a tailspin, losing 3 straight after starting 7-2. The Browns are surprising EVERYONE at 6-6 and are in the midst of the Wildcard race, tied with the Jaguars and Jets at one game behind the Bengals for the last WC spot.

Bears (2-10) @ Steelers (5-7)- At 5-7, the Steelers have zero room for error if they want to keep their playoff chances alive.

                            Monday Night Football

Saints (3-9) @ Falcons (5-7)- The Falcons were thought to be Super Bowl contenders. They're currently one of four teams in the NFC at 5-7, all a game behind the last Wildcard spot, held by the 6-6 Redskins. The other problem: the Giants, Panthers and Rams are also 6-6.

                            Game of the Week

Colts (10-2) @ Jaguars (6-6)- The Jaguars are slipping as well, but they still are in the race for a Wildcard spot. The Colts clinch the South with a win.

Ravens suffer unimaginable choke in 24-17 loss in Denver

                                DENVER, CO- Oh, what's that?

Oh, Anthony Wright has thrown ANOTHER interception.

The supposed "starting" QB for the Ravens threw FOUR interceptions, THREE of them by 2nd year LINEBACKER D.J. Williams, who took his 3rd 44 yard for a touchdown late, shocking Baltimore as the Broncos rallied with 21 4th quarter points to win 24-17.

Wright was 7-17 for 132 yards and a TD, but the 4 INTs was unbelievable. Kyle Boller came in on the final two drives to try to tie it, but he was 2-7. Wright spoiled another great game by Jamal Lewis, who had 163 yards and a TD on only 21 carries (7.7 YPC). Todd Heap was the only receiver of note for the Ravens, catching six passes for 123 yards and a TD. After the game, GM Brian Kudron sounded off on the situation.

"We obviously have a pair of SWINES at Quarterback. I see now why Wright couldn't get the job from Boller in the first place. We have the weapons, our quarterbacks are just incompetent, inadaquete, and PATHETIC," a seething Kudron ranted.

In place of an injured Jake Plummer, Danny Kanell was excellent, going 14-23 for 234 yards with 2 TDs and an INT. Tatum Bell had 63 yards on the ground, but on 30 carries. He also caught a miracle 68 yard TD that tied it at 17 late, after the ball deflected off of Ashley Lelie and Ed Reed's hands. Rod Smith caught 5 passes for 63 yards, and TE Jeb Putzier caught 3 for 36 and a TD.

Ray Lewis had 11 tackles for the Ravens, followed by 8 from Tommy Polley and 6 from Ed Reed and Will Demps. Anthony Weaver and Adalius Thomas each had a sack, and Chris McAlister had an interception at the goalline to kill a Denver drive.

SS Nick Ferguson led Denver with 7 tackles, and an INT. Al Wilson, John Lynch and Trevor Price each had five tackles. Rookie CB Darrent Williams had Denver's only sack. But D.J. Williams was the hero with his 3 tackles and amazing 3 fourth quarter interceptions. Lynch snuffed out Baltimore's final drive by forcing his 2nd fumble from Mark Clayton, and then recovering it.

The Ravens were obviously shellshocked after this defeat, but they must regroup, as they face the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football next week.
