      Recap

Notre Dame was able to upset the #2 ranked team in the nation behind an excellent game from Luke Harangody. Harangody scored 28 points and pulled down 17 rebounds while the Irish dominated the glass. Marquette shot an awful percentage from the field, and missed all of their 16 3-point attempts. Both teams shot the ball poorly in the 2nd half, but Notre Dame's 1st half lead was enough to upset the Golden Eagles. Rob Kurz had another double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

That was a great and huge win by defeating #2 Marquette and it would have been better for the RPI if you were on the road.

Congrats and good luck the rest of the way.

Yes, it was a pretty ugly game, especially the 2nd half. It was very tough to play.

I had my chance at Marquette on the road already... and that didn't work out too well lol.

                  Recap

Coming off a huge upset win over #2 Marquette last week, Notre Dame traveled to face a struggling UConn team that was only 3-7 in the Big East. But the Huskies blew out the Irish on their home floor behind a balanced scoring attack and dominance on the boards. The Huskies built their 1st half lead by getting a 12-2 advantage on 2nd chance points, as well as shooting 53% for the 1st half. Notre Dame was able to get to within 3 in the 2nd half, but then UConn seemed to flip a switch and hit almost every shot they took. UConn was led by A.J. Price with 18 points, and also got 16 points from Jerome Dyson and 14 points from Jeff Adrien.

Notre Dame's defense was the biggest problem in the game, allowing UConn to shoot a scorching 59.4% from the field. Notre Dame was led by Luke Harangody with 18 points and 8 rebounds, while Kyle McAlarney added 15 points.

The Irish will now travel to Rutgers to take on the Scarlet Knights.

                    Recap

Notre Dame was able to bounce back on the road after a tough loss to UConn the other night. Notre Dame started red-hot, hitting 70% of their shots in the 1st half. The 2nd half was a different story, as neither team did much scoring. Notre Dame was led by Luke Harangody with 20 points and 9 rebounds, and Kyle McAlarney added 15 points. Rutgers was able keep the game close by having a 13-2 edge on the offensive boards which led to easy put-backs.

Notre Dame will host Pittsburgh next week in a big game.

                        Recap

Notre Dame played an excellent defensive game against Pittsburgh to hold the Panthers to only 47 points for the entire game. Pittsburgh shot jump-shots all night long, but missed most of them. The Panthers did not attempt a single free throw while the Irish attempted 24. Levance Fields had 9 points and 6 assists for Pitt, but shot just 3 of 18.

Notre Dame was led by Luke Harangody who had a carbon-copy of his last performance with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Kyle McAlarney had 16 points, while both Tory Jackson and Rob Kurz scored 11.

Notre Dame will hope the home-court advantage will help Syracuse put up similar shooting stats as the Orange travel to South Bend next.
