David Padgett was efficient down low, scoring 14 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. Louisville ended up shooting 52% from the field, and they were able to out-rebound the Irish by 12.

Notre Dame was led by Luke Harangody with 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Kyle McAlarney added 15. Notre Dame shot the ball relatively well, but they couldn't come up with defensive stops down the stretch.

          Recap

In a game where Notre Dame was down 15 points in the 2nd half, the Irish were able to complete an amazing comeback with the help of poor St. John's free throw shooting. Down by 2 with 20 seconds to go, Tory Jackson dribbled down the clock and found Rob Kurz for a layup that tied the game at 71 with 4 seconds. An attempted game-winning 3 was in-and-out at the buzzer, and the game moved to overtime.

Notre Dame was able to gain a 1 point lead in overtime, but D.J. Kennedy was fouled on a layup attempt with 4.1 seconds to go. Kennedy had a chance to tie and/or take the lead, but missed both free throws. The rebound came to Kyle McAlarney, who was fouled and sank both free throws to ice the game.

St. John's missed 13 of their 27 free throw attempts, and missed key shots down the stretch. After falling behind big, Notre Dame was able to work the ball for better shots. Luke Harangody had another double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Rob Kurz had 14 points and 9 rebounds. Kyle McAlarney added 18 points, while Ryan Ayers also stepped up with 16 points and 6 rebounds.

The Irish will finish off the regular season with a game at South Florida.

            Recap

Notre Dame looked in top form in their last regular season game, destroying South Florida. Notre Dame scored the first 12 points of the game, and went on a 23-2 run right out of the gate. Notre Dame shot a blistering 20/33 in the 1st half, while South Florida shot just 8/30.

Notre Dame was led by Kyle McAlarney with 19 points, while Luke Harangody had 18. The bench got a lot of playing time due to the game being over so early.

The regular season is over and the Big East tournament bracket will be posted soon.

                        Recap

Notre Dame wasn't able to do any better than they did the last time they faced the Hoyas, falling by 16 again. Roy Hibbert dominated again with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. Just his presence in the paint made the Irish more reluctant to drive. Luke Harangody and Rob Kurz each scored 14 points, while Kyle McAlarney scored 12. Georgetown advances to the Big East Semifinals.

Notre Dame now waits for Selection Sunday to find out who and where they will play.

                                March Madness Is Here!

                                Who Got Left Out
                                Arizona (15-16)
                                Michigan State (20-13)
                                Vanderbilt (21-12)
                                Fordham (20-12)
                                Albany (22-7)

LOL at Arizona being "left out". No team with a losing record should ever be considered for an at-large bid.

Looks like I got a pretty easy game to start off with. Gotta take care of business first though!
