    UPDATE
Houston was able to handle ECU 30-10 in a game that saw Aaron Anderson looking like a true quarterback. One of the most impressive performances came from the young defense though -- LB Jason Mullins had 4 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. FS Jeremy Duncan had 4 tackles and 2 interceptions.

Houston Cougars: 4-1 - Feeling good after getting a win...
    Next Game: vs Tulane (2-4)

Sweet....I wouldn't have had the patience to put up with all of Anderson's picks. I would had him riding the pine along time ago.

He's really my only good QB this year so I kind of have to use him. I'm happy with the way I've improved my playing and I should be able to cut down on the INTs soon. With Tulane and the like approaching, I'm feeling much better this season about finishing above .500... we'll see what happens.

Tulane (2-4) at Houston (4-1) *In Progress*
We join this game in progress...

1st Half Summary: Tulane jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a fumble recovered for a TD. Houston's offense was shut down early as they went nowhere. An interception scared Houston but Lane recovered a fumble to put worries to rest. A second interception helped Tulane let Houston know who was in complete control. Chance Brown fumbled on the 40 yard line next. Guess he figured it was his turn to make a turnover. Early in the second, Anderson threw to Brown in the endzone and it bounced off his hands... and into WR Justin Hansen's! Touchdown to tie the game at 7-7. Tulane recovered a muffed punt to make it 14-7. It was another unbelievable sequence of events from the crazy Cougars. Tulane easily destroyed the Houston secondary to take a commanding 21-7 lead over the hopeless Cougars. Thank God they were unable to give up anymore points before the half.

                  SECOND HALF:
Lots of bad football play was basically what happened.

Final: Tulane utterly destroys Houston 34-14

                  Straight From the Coach
                  "Despicable!"

Houston Cougars: 4-2 - Pathetic loss to Tulane
                  Next Game: at Memphis (3-3)

Ouch. Man, if not for turnovers, you'd be having a helluva year, I think. Oh well, half the season still to come, I have faith in the Cougers (or as we in the old SWC used to call them, Cougar High)

                              Update
The Houston Cougars got on track with a big 30-6 win over Memphis. Everyone on the team had a pretty decent day except for QB Aaron Anderson, who once again threw three interceptions but zero touchdowns. LB Jason Mullins had a monster performance-- 10 tackles, 6 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. What a day for that young kid.
