    Minnesota   33   24-57
    Michigan     45   45-90

Coming off a heartbreaking loss at Michigan State and a blowout loss at Purdue, Michigan's season was teetering on disaster. But the Wolverines returned home, where they have been explosive so far this year.

And they did not disappoint, although the Gophers hung around for about ten minutes or so. But Michigan's speed was far superior as they dealt out 22 assists and had 10 fast break points, blowing Minnesota out of Crisler Arena, 90-57.

    Player of the Game

Dion Harris: 28 points, 7 steals, 5 assists

    MICHIGAN WOLVERINES
Daniel Horton: 26 points, 7 assists
    Lester Abram: 11 points
    Chris Hunter: 8 points
Courtney Sims: 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks
Ron Coleman: 7 points, 7 rebounds

    MINNESOTA GOLDEN GOPHERS
Vincent Grier: 18 points, 5 assists
Jeff Hagen: 12 points, 7 rebounds
    Adam Boone: 10 points

    Next Game: Michigan (15-6, 5-3) @ Ohio State (10-10, 2-6)

Nice win, Dion should be arrested!

      7 steals, my goodness!

Good luck against OSU, don't want a repeat of real life.
      Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
It's back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial

              Michigan      34   31-65
              Ohio State   20   25-45

One would have to wonder if Daniel Horton hangs out with Braylon Edwards on the University of Michigan campus.

It certainly looked like it, since Horton took over the role of destroying Ohio State, a role Edwards owned for three years as a member of the football team.

Although the football rivalry is much more intense and historical, UM and OSU is always a good matchup...except this time, as Michigan was never in trouble in this one, scoring the first eight points of the game, never trailing, and ultimately rolling to a 65-45 win.

              Player of the Game

Daniel Horton: 25 points, 11 assists

              MICHIGAN WOLVERINES
Lester Abram: 12 points, 7 rebounds
Dion Harris: 10 points, 3 steals
Brent Petway: 8 points, 6 rebounds
Courtney Sims: 4 points, 10 rebounds

              OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
Tony Stockman: 18 points, 7 assists
              J.J. Sullinger: 8 points, 3 rebounds
Ivan Harris: 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists

                          #4 Illinois        28   46-74
                          #18 Michigan   25   36-61

This was it. This was the test of Michigan's season. #4 Illinois, the Big Ten heavyweight and Final Four contender, visiting Crisler Arena, where the ONLY close game had been Michigan's 93-86 win over Notre Dame earlier in the year. Both of these teams ran three guard starting lineups, with Illinois' Dee Brown, Deron Williams and Luther Head taking on UM's Daniel Horton, Dion Harris and Lester Abram.

These two teams are two of the best at the fast break and deal out assists on almost every basket, it seems. Michigan hung around with the Illini for the entire game, and trailed 60-59 with 2:30 left, but Illinois exploded, finishing the game on a 14-2 run to crush Michigan's hopes, 74-61.

                          Player of the Game

Lester Abram: 12 points, 6 rebounds
Daniel Horton: 11 points, 6 assists, 6 steals
Dion Harris: 6 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals

James Augustine: 4 points, 13 rebounds

Jeez you have a tough schedule, right after this you have MSU again?!

                              Best of luck.

Not too bad against Illinois either, you were close.
                              Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
It's back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial
