Quick Analysis: 7 of the 10 Gopher All-Americans are either leaving for the draft of for graduation. There is no doubt that the offense is taking a huge hit with 3 starting linemen leaving, 2 starter-quality halfbacks, and the three top receivers on the team. Both of the tight ends are leaving, and so is the starting QB this year. It could be a really tough year on offense next year for the Gophers.

On the defensive side of the ball, losing your 2nd best CB, and your 1st and 2nd best defensive linemen will hurt tremendously. Jewhan Edwards was amazing again this year.

It could be a long year for the Gophers next year, but all of these guys played huge parts in the National Championship win. Thank you to all of them for their contributions.

Gophers's Comments on the Championship game: It had to be the best game I've ever played, it was incredible the amount of emotion that came out from me just from this game. I was surprised that I was able to pull it out, I thought for sure I was done when Griffith was lining up for the 27 yarder to win the game. I don't think that there is much chance that I can repeat this year. Thanks to all that are reading.

Aaron Lester looks to get a long look at the QB position with the departure of MarQueis Gray as well as Corey Watson. All of the TE's that were recruited will have chances to make the team, and some may get redshirted or maybe make a move to the FB position.

The class ranks #37, so not great, but not horrible and bringing in 8 4* recruits will hopefully keep the talent level up for Coach Kill. He was happy with the guys that he got, and he has recruited guys that want to be in his system.

Pretty solid class. It's always good to have those 4 and 5 star recruits coming in to groom.

My recruiting is straight 3-2-1 stars. Nothing above 3 stars at all.

Yeah, this year is going to be really, really tough for me. I'm just RS a lot of my new recruits because I'll take a hit for a year, and we'll just see what I can do.

                Strength of Schedule: A+

The Gophers intra-divisional schedule is going to be extremely tough as well as playing Alabama in non-conference play. It will be extremely hard for them to repeat after losing nearly their whole offense due to graduation or leaving for the Pro Draft.

I don't understand how that recruiting class can only be ranked #37.

Congrats on the national championships. The recruits should start rolling in now.

A 5'11 QB? And they say Kellen Moore is to small.

Something to consider in the future. On your depth chart put the player overall (Ranking) next to their name, so we can get an idea of how good your team is and the player.

I am curious what the difference was between Lester and Watson who you decided to redshirt.

I don't get it either, but I don't really care. I'm happy with the class I brought in.

He's a pocket passer with little speed. He's a 75 OVR. I moved J.D. Pride to HB because I needed more depth there and he has a nice SPD rating. Tom Parish is rated as a 71 so I kind of have to go with the FR.

Yeah, he is small. I didn't really want to give away OVR's but I will probably start to do it. I'll re-make the one I have with OVR's later tonight.

Lester got the nod because he's rated at a 75 and Watson was at 70. I wanted Watson to start getting groomed for the future. I figure I can always RS Lester at some point.

Kellen Moore destroyed me in that NC game, I couldn't touch him.
