            Game Notes
This game is shaping up to be an offensive shootout, with two very good quarterbacks in Karam and Robinson and two average defenses. If Troy wants to win they are going to have to out shoot Karam, which Heisman hopeful Robinson and this offense can surely do. and this explosive offense and get a couple turnovers. If the Red Raiders are going to win their home opener Karam needs to take better care of the ball than he did last week.

              D. McKinney(#32) picks off a C. Robinson pass that was slightly under thrown. Other than three interceptions the defense was torched all day, by Heisman candidate C. Robinson, for over 400 yards.

              E. Ward(#18) lays out for a big 46 yard touchdown pass from J. Karam. Karam and this explosive passing attack once again carried the team, racking up nearly 400 yards passing and 5 touchdowns. Can anybody stop them?

              K. Williams(#23) does dives into the end zone to celebrate a five yard run that put the Red Raiders up 45 to 35 late in the fourth quarter. The rushing game was almost as irrelevant as Troy's, but they did not need to be in this shootout.

                    Game Notes
This is a very big game for both team with BCS implications and it is on a Tuesday, so everybody will be watching as Texas Tech heads to the smurf turf to face Boise State and their Heisman candidate quarterback. Last week the Red Raiders played a very good quarterback and made him make some mistakes and they need to do the same thing if they want to get out of Boise undefeated. Karam is going to need to keep on doing what he is doing through the air and sometimes on the ground, plus the defense is going to need to step up the pass defense and try to hold Boise under 300 yards through the air. Boise State is very very good at home, ranking #7 on the toughest places to play with a 98-15 record, and they are ranked in the top 15 because of a mistake free offense and a bend but don't break defense.

                      J. Phillips(#21) intercepts a Southwick pass on the Broncos first drive of the game setting up the Red Raiders in good field position. Phillps and this pass defense play very good holding the Heisman candidate to under 300 yards and picking him off twice.

                      A. Torres(#86) catches a seven yard pass for his second touchdown catch of the game putting the Red Raiders up 17-0. With the great play of Karam, four touchdowns, and Torres, three receiving touchdowns, the passing attack look unstoppable and may be the best in the NCAA.

                      K. Williams(#23) drags a defender into the end zone making the lose for Boise State look a little bit mor humiliating. Williams did a good job finish out the game in the fourth quarter, where he racked up most of his yardage.

                              Game Notes
The Red Raiders open their conference play with a very tough game against, the new to the Big 12, #20 Houston Cougars. The Cougars have started out 2-0 in there new conference, making a statement beating #4 Oklahoma State last week, and are looking to go 3-0. These two offenses have very deadly passing attacks, both ranked in the top 25 in all of college football, and the can put up the points in a hurry. The Texas Tech Red Raiders need their secondary to set up and stop the Cougars offense a couple times if not this one will go down to the wire.

                                D. Moore(#14) makes a diving catch for a touchdown starting the Red Raiders fantastic second quarter, with 24 points scored. Once again the Red Raiders put up great passing numbers, almost 400 yards and four touchdowns, carrying their team to a victory.

                                D. Piland is intercepted by T. Porter(#5) setting up Texas Tech with great field position that they would cap off with a field goal. The pass defense played very aggressive making some big plays but allowed some catches deep.

Back up quarterback S. Young came into the game, after J. Karam went down with a broken rib, leading the Red Raiders into the red zone so T. Hodges (#8) could kick the game winning field goal.
