    Game Notes
The New Mexico Stat Aggies open up their conference schedule with the toughest conference opponent, Fresno State, but this is the healthiest New Mexico State has been since the beginning of the season and the Bulldogs lost their starting quarterback last week to a broken ankle. If the Aggies can pull this upset off it will give them a lot of momentum through their conference schedule, but if they lost then they will be on a four game slide that could easily increase.

      G. Watson(#16) gets sacked by A. Smith for a two yard loss early in the first quarter. This is about the only thing the Aggies defense did right the entire game, allowing nearly 300 rushing yards.

      T. Rust(#8) shows his frustration after an interception was returned for a touchdown late in the second quarter. Rust had a terrible game throwing four interceptions, don't be surprise if he does not start next week.

The highlight of the day for the Aggies was this 24 yard touchdown pass to J. McCoy(#86) scoring with six seconds left in the first half.

          Game Notes
Hawai'i goes to Las Cruces to play a very hungry New Mexico State team that is coming off a 49-21 shellacking against Fresno State. The Aggies need to win this game, Hawai'i has one of the worst offenses in Division 1 college football and their defense is not much better. This would be the perfect game for the Aggies to dig themselves out of a four game losing streak and get on a winning streak that could last the rest of the season, judging by their up-coming schedule.

            J. McCoy(#86) catches a 23 yard pass form T. Rust for a touchdown putting the Aggies up 24-14. Rust did a much better job of keeping the ball in the offenses hands, throwing for over 200 yards two touchdowns and no interceptions.

            T. Stuart(#51) sacks D. Graves(#4) for a seven yards loss. The Aggies defense got back to their start of the season form, forcing four interceptions and 2 fumbles.

            K. Turner(#3) spins around a would be tackler for a 24 yard gain late in the fourth quarter. Turner got back on track here, running for nearly 150 yards and one touchdown.

                    Game Notes
The Aggies are looking to get their fourth win over a not so strong San Jose State team, but the injury bug has hit New Mexico State again losing one of their top receivers for the rest of the season. If Austin Franklin's back up can pick up a couple first downs and Tanner Rust can keep the ball out of the defense's hands, the Aggies will be alright. Also Kenny Turner needs to put up the numbers he did last week which may be a feat against the best run defense in the WAC.

                          Game Notes
New Mexico State goes to Idaho with the hot hand, out scoring the last two opponents 82-23, but they are up against a very hungry 2-6 Idaho team at their home field. Idaho is the third best team in the WAC on paper, but injuries to both sides of the ball have hampered them. The Aggies look to take advantage of the injury riddled defense by getting Turner a bunch of touches and giving Rust time to throw, which may be hard against this defensive line that has 27 sacks on the season.

Nice job starting out 4-4! Good luck against Idaho, you should be able to take care of them. It's interesting how New Mexico State had no wins and I was around .500 all season and it's the opposite in yours. I'll be following!

Thanks it's much better than my 2-10 season last year. Idaho is a much better rated team than me but if I can get some momentum early it will be a good game.

                                K. Turner(#3) runs up the middle for a six yard touchdown, putting the Aggies up 7-0 in the first quarter. Turner carried the team on his back when Rust went down with an injury, racking up 130 yards on 25 carries and scoring two touchdowns.

                                J. Harris(#11) jumps in front of a D. Balckman pass and takes it the other way for a pick six. The Aggies defense gave Blackman a hard time, sacking him 5 times and picking him off 4.

                                D. Preston(#9) did not rack up a ton of yards, but scored this five yard touchdown at the end of the third to give the Aggies a two possession lead. Manely filled in well in Rust's place gaining over 100 yards, scoring a touchdown and only turning the ball over once.
