    CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK

    BIG 12

#1 (12-0) Texas Tech will take on #10 (9-3) Nebraska in a rematch of last year's title game. Can TTU make it 6 in a row against the Huskers or will Nebraska break the losing streak and earn a spot in the playoffs with the win?

    BIG TEN

Good Old Fashion Hate as #2 (11-1) Michigan will take on #14 (9-3) Ohio State, as the Buckeyes look to pull off the upset and earn their way into the playoffs for the first time since 2025. These 2 teams didn't meet during the regular season.

    ACC

#4 Duke lost the tie break losing to #19 UNC during the regular season, so the Blue Devils will sit at home with a playoff spot secured, well #8 (11-1) James Madison takes on the Tar Heels with a playoff spot and ACC title on the line.

    PAC-12

#3 (11-1) Washington will face #11 (10-2) USC for the Pac-12 title and for USC most likely a playoff spot on the line. Neither team saw each other during the regular season, as the Huskies lone loss was out of conference to Boston College, well USC's loss's came at the hands of Stanford and UCLA.

    SEC

It was a weird year in the SEC. Florida finished (8-4) Overall but went (6-2) in SEC play winning both tie breakers against #24 Georgia (8-4, 6-2) and #7 Miami (9-3, 5-3) to win the division. The Gators will take on #21 (9-3) Missouri who wins their first SEC Division crown .

    AMERICAN

(10-2) Iowa upset Nebraska in Week 13 in a non-conference matchup, now they will look to win the title against (8-4) Rice.

    CUSA

(9-3) Vanderbilt's win over #5 Tennessee earns them a spot in the title game vs (7-5) Notre Dame who like the Commadores went (7-1) in conference play, after going 0-4 out of conference.. A Conference Title would be huge for both programs, but I think even more so for the Irish who havn't made the playoffs in 4 years.

    MOUNTAIN WEST

#18 (10-2) BYU will take on (9-3) Fresno State in a rematch of last year's title game in which the Bulldogs won and went on to secure a playoff spot. Is it the Cougars turn this year?

    SUN BELT

#16 (11-1) UAB will take on (10-2) Jacksonville State. The Blazers are holding out hope a victory could propel them to a #12 seed, but with schools like #4 (10-2) Duke, #5 (9-3) Oregon, #6 (9-3) BSU and #7 Miami FL all not playing this week as well as #12 (9-3) Penn State and #13 (10-2) Colorado it could be tough to jump enough spots to claim a spot at the table. UAB has won 11 straight with their only loss coming in Week 1 to Kansas State (48-10)

    MAC

#9 (11-1) Bowling Green will take on (8-4) Army for the title and a spot in the playoffs. The Falcons and Black Knights didn't meet during the regular season. BG's only loss this year was (31-27) to Iowa.

TEXAS TECH DOMINATES FOR 4TH STRAIGHT

#1 Texas Tech dominated the 3rd Quarter leading to the Red Raiders 6th straight win over Nebraska and 5th in 2 years well winning their 4th straight Big 12 title to finish the year a perfect (13-0) securing the #1 seed in the playoffs for a 3rd time.

      GAME RECAP

For 2 teams that combined to score almost 100 points, the 1st Quarter wasn't one could of skipped as TTU scores on the opening drive, as RB Netori Morton returns to action with a 7 yd TD run to make it (7-0). The Cornhuskers answered back with a 39 yd FG to make it (7-3) as we head to the 2nd Quarter.

The scoreboard was on fire in the 2nd Quarter as both schools score 3 times with Nebraska setting for another 29 yd FG with 12 seconds to play to make it (28-20) at the half.

SR CB Brian Castillo comes up big with a INT of JR QB Andrew Isidora (90 ovr) to open up the 2nd half returning it 18 yds, before Vildor took over with his 4th TD of the day hitting JR TE Kevin Pickering for a 23 yd strike to make it (35-20).

TTU then extend the lead with another pair of scores as Netori Morton makes it a hat trick afternoon with his 2nd and 3rd rushing scores (49-20).

Nebraska answers back though as Isidora throws 1 TD and runs for another to cut the lead to (49-34) but Texas Tech wasn't done as 5* RB Sean Byham takes over for Morton and adds 2 scores with runs of 47 yds and 14 yds to close out the game..

        THE QUEST FOR #4!!!

Texas Tech secures the #1 seed for the playoffs.. A Ohio State victory over Michigan (31-28) in the Big Ten Championship opens up the door for Pac-12 winner Washington (Beat USC 20-7) to secure the #2 seed.

James Madison took care of business against UNC (35-17) to win the ACC and finish the year (12-1). They secure the #3 seed for their efforts.

Bowling Green also finished the year (12-1) with a 48-10 win over Army to win the Mac Championship and their reward is the #4 seed.

UAB beat Jacksonville State (44-10) to win the Sun Belt and also finish (12-1). With the win the Blazers move up to #12 in the final rankings securing the #12 seed.

UAB will take on #3 (10-2) Duke who is given the #5 seed after not being a conference championship winner. The winner will advance to play #4 Bowling Green in Round 2.

#4 (9-3) Oregon is given the #6 seed and they will play #11 (9-3) Penn State who sneaks into the playoffs as the 3rd team from the Big Ten with the winner advancing to play #3 James Madison in Round 2

(11-2) Michigan drops from #2 to #5 with the loss to the Buckeyes and is given the #7 seed. Ohio State's with the win moves to (10-3) and secures the #10 seed as they will play Michigan once again for a chance at #2 Washington in Round 2.

#7 (9-3) Boise State secures the #8 seed for a 3rd time in the past 9 seasons. They will face #8 (9-3) Miami FL as the #9 seed. With the winner taking on Texas Tech in Round 2.

Besides BSU (2) and TTU (3) Michigan (2) is the only other team to have won more then 1 Championship during the dynasty.

Miami and Clemson are the only 2 teams to have won National Titles during the 9 years of this dynasty. So this year's playoff has 8 of the past 9 winners with 2 facing each other in Round 1 for the chance to play TTU who has won 3 of the last 4.

This is the 4th straight year Penn State has played in the Playoffs and this is the first time since 2026 that Ohio State has made the playoffs and it's just their 2nd Big Ten Title in 9 years.

This is Washington's first time in the playoffs, as well as Duke's, James Madison and Bowling Green.

This is Oregon's and Michigan's 7th time in the playoffs in 9 seasons, well Boise State has now played in 8 out of 9 (4 with Coach Scott and 4 without)

Coach Ryne Scott will return to Texas Tech for Year 6, and the 3rd year of his 5 year extension he signed in 2031.

Scott had offers from Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and Washington State.

            Coach Scott
"At this point in my career I honestly can't see myself anywhere else. I came to build a legacy here at TTU and I feel like I have done that.. I feel in my heart that at this point in my career it's not about the potential to make the most money but to show loyalty to the school that gave me my first shot at being a HC."

** Iin a interesting move, Alabama, TAMU, Texas and Stanford's Defensive Coordinators all left for NFL Job**

All HC jobs. Texas HC retired,, TAMU and Baylor fired theirs both had been there since I took the TTU job. Alabama fired their coach after just 1 year of going 5-7.

Honestly at this point, I really do think I will probably just stay at TTU until BSU 's Coach D retires, and then hope to maybe finish out my career there. I honestly don't think he will leave if he hasn't left yet but at the same point why. They have made the playoffs in 8 out of 9 seasons. Bascially that this point the 4 best jobs in the nation at TTU, BSU, Oregon and Michigan.

I wish the carousel system you could choose an open job and see if they would hire you. Even if Coach D leaves it would be a coin toss to see if they even offered you the job unfortunately

Just played it. Sadly it didn't live up to the hype I was hoping for, As far as the job goes you are correct.. I love the game but really dislike how they did the coaching hires.. I personally feel it would just be better to wait for the season to end. I also don't understand the logic. The James Madison HC went 12-1 got the #3 seed won the ACC title and yet their HC left for Texas, but not as the HC but as the DC.. That makes no sense at all to me.. Sorta like Alabama firing their coach last year and hiring the coach that got fired from Florida, then the ex Alabama coach goes to Florida.

TEXAS TECH ROLLS BRONCOS ON THEIR WAY TO ANOTHER SEMI FINALS

The last time these 2 squads squared off against here other was 2028., Coach Scott's 1st Year in Lubbock after helping guide the Broncos to their 2nd National Championship as the team's OC as the #8 vs #9 seed of in the playoffs..

TTU won the game (30-27) behind the great play of Freshman QB George "GNK". well BSU was led by RS FR Willie Smoker.

Today's matchup featured another talented RS FR in TTU Freddie Vidlor the NCAA POY and Heisman winner and Vidlor is playing some of his best football of the season.

                        GAME RECAP

Texas Tech jumped out to a early (14-0) lead in the 1st half was Vildor connects on Touchdowns with RS FR WR Brian Head (73 yds) and RS FR Felix Addision (46 yds).

BSU managed to tie the game up (14-14) early in the 2nd Quarter as SR QB Melo Herring (83 ovr) throws a pair of scores, but TTU answers the call as the Red Raiders finish out the half scoring 3 straight including another 67 yd bomb to Head and a 12 yd run by Vildor as the QB accounts for 4 of the team's 5 TD's.

RS FR OLB Gideon Abdo picks off Herring late in the 2nd setting up a 12 yd TD by by Netori Morton to make it (35-14) at the half.

BSU got on the scoreboard early in the 2nd as the the Broncos Special Teams and Defense comes up big, first Jr Punter Jaren Plummer pins a punt at the 2 yd line (58 yd punt) and then the Bronco D-Line comes up with the sack in the endzone for a safety to make it (35-16), but a quick 3 and out by the Broncos Offense led to TTU extending their lead as Morton breaks a 53 yd run for the score making it (42-16). Then after another forced punt it was Texas Tech going back to the ground game as JJ Robert dives in from 4 yds out to make it (49-16) as we head to the 4th.

The 4th wasn't any better for the Broncos who struggle offensively all night despite coming into the game with a Top-12 Offense in the nation. BSU would manage just 40 yds on the ground (1.74 avg) well sending out Plummer for a total of 10 punts on the day..

To make matters worse when BSU did manage to force TTU to punt, the Red Raiders returned the favor as JR Punter Eric Covington pins the Broncos on the 4 yd line with a 50 yd punt and just like BSU, TTU sent the house taking down Herring in the endzone for the safety to make it (51-16)..

Then after receiving the free kick TTU extended their lead to (58-16) as Sean Byham adds another rushing score for the Red Raiders (#5 on the day).

TTU wasn't done though as JR PK Doug Khaled adds on a 49 yd FG to close out the game after a turnover on downs.

                        FINAL SCORE TTU-61 BSU-16

#4 (12-1) Bowling Green defeats #12 (13-1) UAB 37-17) ending the Blazers dream well extending their own. The Falcons will now take on TTU where they are a 12 point underdog.

#6 Oregon defeated #3 James Madison (31-25) by scoring 14 in the 4th Quarter.. RS SO QB Tyrone Russ threw for 355 yds with 3 TD in the win.

This marks the Ducks 3rd trip to the Final 4 since the 12 team playoff started in 2024 but it's their 1st trip since 2026 when Coach Scott and the Boise State Broncos defeated them on their way to their 1st National Title.

#7 Michigan spoiled the Pac-12 rematch game with Washington beating the Huskies (27-17).. The Wolverines are no strangers to Final 4 appearances as they had played in 5 straight before missing the playoffs last year.

The offense did their thing, but your defense stepped up after a shaky start. 6 sacks and only 8 completions for Herring whew.

I'm sure Bowling Green looks easy on paper, but for some reason those mid-major schools always play tough. In a different dynasty I lost a 3peat to Charlotte with a 78 overall roster and somehow it was my toughest game of the season and ended my 55 game win streak too lol

Bowling Green is a Top-10 ranked Defense in the National Stats, but they only average 30 PPG, so on paper I am still a 2 touchdown favorite. They are 84 Overall/84 Offense/88 Defense.

I am going to check out the Heisman sliders for next season. It weird I will have close games for awhile then all of a sudden I will have 3 or 4 blowouts wins. I am also going to go harder with the non-conference schedule moving forward. The Big 12 has had it's share of Top-25 teams but I still want to start playing schools like Oregon, Ohio State, Michigan, Arkansas more often during the season, even if it means a couplle early season loss's. Honestly though at this rate I am replacing 9 graduating Seniors with 11-5* recruits so I don't really see TTU losing #1 status even next year. Right now Linebacker is my biggest need. But I just upgrade my recruiting so I get a extra 10 hours next year on LB's, so I will probably hit it hard..

                                TTU MAKES HISTORY

Bowling Green came into the game with a Top-10 Defense and it showed as they held TTU off the scoreboard in the 1st Quarter (0-0). But the Red Raiders wasted little time playing catchup in the 2nd Quarter as they score 4 times to take a (28-0) lead into the locker room as RS FR QB Freddie Vildor hits 4 different WR's for scores (Addison 53 yds), (Head 67 yds) Hatfield (53 yds) and Murray (15 yds).

Vildor then added a 15 yd TD run in the 3rd well finding TE Kevin Pickering for a 35 yd score to extend the lead to (42-0) as we head to the 4th..

Bowling Green's D finally came alive again in the 4th, as they pick off Vildor to stop a scoring drive. But the Offense continued to struggle as they manage just 181 yds of Total Offense including just 80 yds through the air as SO QB J. Kumah connects on just 8/23 (34%).

TTU would extend the lead to (56-0) as Morton and Byham both add rushing scores still with 4 minutes to play.

Bowling Green would finally get on the scoreboard as they pick off backup QB Stetson Hollman after pinning TTU on the 4yd line with a beautiful 59 yd punt. MLB David Riggins takes the INT and turns it into a "Pick 6"..

                                TE K. Pickering-5 rec 78 yds

TTU has now scored at least 60 points or more in their last 4 games dating back to Week 13 @ Baylor after finishing the regular season with a National Best 44.4 PPG..

                                [U#7 (13-2) ]MICHIGAN VS #6 (11-3) OREGON[/U]

After watching the blowout win by Texas Tech, College Football fans were excited to finally watch a great game that saw the Wolverines and Ducks battle into Overtime!!!

Tied (7-7) as the end of the 1st and tied (14-14) at the half, Michigan would take a (28-21) lead into the 4th, but Oregon ties the game with less then a minute to play to force OT..

Both teams would settle for FG's on their opening series, Oregon manages a score a TD on their 2nd series as RS SO QB Tyrone Russ (86 ovr) hits RS SO WR Rico Urban (86 ovr) for his 3rd TD of the game. The Ducks then leave the Offense on the field as they convert the 2pt play to make it (39-31).

Facing the need for a TD, Michigan answers the call as RS SO Johnnie Hass (82 ovr) scores his 2nd rushing TD of the day, but faced with the need to convert the 2pt play, the Wolverines come up short as Oregon is headed to the National Championship for the first time since 2025 when they lost to Clemson.
