not being able to audible is definitely frustrating, especially when you see the CPU still do it at your stadium. That and going cold with QBs has a huge effect it seems like. And of course the play art. I'll choose a play, go to the snap, and completely forget what route everyone is running and then you can't audible. I end up taking way to many sacks that way, just don't want to throw a pick but have no idea where I'm going lol

TIDE ROLLS OUT OF LUBBOCK WITH A "W"!!!
Just 2 weeks after losing their home opener on the road, Texas Tech has now lost their first game at home at Jones AT&T since 2028, when they lost to TCU in Coach Scott's first year in Lubbock.
GAME RECAP
For a 3rd straight game, the TTU Offense struggled in the 1st Quarter to put points on the scoreboard despite filling up the stat column, as RB Netori Morton fumbles the ball on the 1 yd line leaving the game tied (7-7).
Alabama took the lead with a 51 yd FG eary in the 2nd and added to that lead as Freddie Vildor throws his 6th INT of the season leading to a 43 yd TD pass from SO QB Quan Allgeirer (82 ovr) to SO WR Caleb Kauffman (84 ovr) as Alabama goes into the locker room up (17-7).
A Vildor to Head (42 yd strike) cuts the lead to (17-14) midway through the 3rd Quarter, but Alabama extends their lead as Allgeirer hits SR WR George Guerrero (87 ovr) on a 63 yd bomb to make it (23-14) after a failed 2 pt conversion.
Alabama would extend the lead to (26-14) as FR PK Rick Hicks hit's his 2nd FG on the day, and then after another Freddie Vildor INT, Allgeirer throws TD #3 finding JR WR Imani Pyke (89 ovr) on a 52 yd bomb to make it (31-14) with less then 2 minutes to play.
Texas Tech needing a miracle couldn't find one as Vildor is sack twice leaving TTU facing a 3rd and 24 with 1:11 to play, but then it happened as Vildor hits FR Craig Smyth on a 94 yd bomb to close the gap to (31-21) with 58 seconds to play.
TTU would line up for the onside kick as hope was running out but Alabama was ready as the recover the kick and run out the clock.
FINAL SCORE ALABMA-31 TEXAS TECH-21
KEY STATS
QB F. Vildor-21/49 (42%) 447 yds 2 TD 2 INT, sacked 3 times, 27 yds rushing

WR C. Smythe-1 rec 94 yds 1 TD
WR F. Addison-3 rec 38 yds

IMPACT FROM THE GAME
With the loss TTU drops to #10 in the rankings, well Alabama despite a 3-0 record are still not in the Top-25.
UP NEXT
TTU will look to figure out their offensive woes and hopefully turn their season around as they take on (2-1) North Texas. The Mean Green opened up their season with a (47-29) Colorado in Week 1, then beat FCS East (34-0) before losing to #24 K-State on the road (31-7) in Week 3.Comment

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
TTU PLAYS LIKE THEY ARE #1
After leading the nation in scoring last season (44.1 PPG) on their way to a 2nd straight National Championship, the Texas Tech Red Raiders finally played like the team most thought they would be this season including Head Coach Ryne Scott.
GAME RECAP
TTU dominated the game from start to finish on both sides of the ball as they set a new school record on Defense allowing the Mean Green just 78 yds of Total Offense..
Texas Tech led (21-0) in the 1st Quarter and (35-0) at half time as Freddie Vildor throws 5 TD's pass's to match the 5 had in the first 3 weeks combined, including a pair of bombs (F. Addison-75 yds, and B. Head-71 yds). Head and Addison added another score each as the duo combines for 280 yds and 4 scores.
For a 3rd straight game RS Freshman Craig Smythe added a score (9 yds) as the former 5* joins the trio of Hatfield/Head/Addison to former a 4-Horesman of 5* talent...
Not to feel left out of the scoring TTU opened up the 2nd half with another huge play as JR WR Rico Hatfield took a Jet sweep handoff 69 yds for a touchdown to extend TTU's lead to (42-0).
Another quick 3 and out by UNT would lead to another TTU score as Morton adds a 7 yd rushing TD to extend the lead to (49-0).
Heading to the 4th, UNT still struggling to do anything continued to send out their punt team, as SR Punter Ben Costa ends up with 10 punts for 465 yds (46.5 avg, 38.2 net).
Despite the (49-0) lead, Coach Scott continued to roll out the 1st team offense, but after 4 straight carries, Morton gave way to backup Sean Byham who picks up his 3rd TD of the season after recording 10 last year..
Leading now (56-0), Coach Scott knew it was time to just finish out the game and start preparing for TCU, so yet another turnover on downs by the Mean Green, TTU would run the ball 9 times before Doug Khaled adds a 28 yd FG to close out the game.
FINAL SCORE TEXAS TECH-59 NORTH TEXAS-0
KEY STATS
QB F. Vildor-22/26 (84%) 389 yds 5 TD, 40 yds rushing

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
WEEK 5 TEAM REPORT
WHAT'S UP WITH VILDOR
Everyone is asking the same question "What going on with Freddie Vildor?" Is it just a Sophomore slump or is he hurt or what?
After winning the National POY and Heisman last season has taken a huge step back posting a QB rating of just 146.2 in the first 4 games throwing 10 TD's and 7 INT well completing 52% of his pass's for 1330 yds.
Coach Scott"To be honest I feel like the Ohio State game makes it look worse then it really is. If you take out the 5 INT's in Game 1 that means he has only thrown 2 over the last 3 games and his stat's vs UNT were huge... I am honestly not worried."
Everyone got a chance to see the type of production Rico Hatfield could put up 2 years ago with 90 rec for 1555 yds and 21 TD and last year with Brian Head's 74 rec for 1524 yds and 14 TD. Now it's Addison and Smythe's time to shine. Fan's already saw a glimpse of Addison's potential last season as he posted 56 rec for 875 yds and 10 TD's despite playing in just 11 games. Now through Week 4, Addison leads the team with 21 rec for 347 yds and is tied with Head with 3 TD's each.
Smythe however is the newcomer but he is showing up in a big way with 5 rec for 162 yds (32.4 avg, 14.6 RAC avg) and is tied with Addison/Head with 3 TD's as well.
Coach Scott"We have alot of talent and depth in our receivers room. People talk about the "4 Horseman" but you can't count out SR Prince Ewkonu or TE Ramon Barbosa. On most teams those guy's would be a QB's #1 target. We also have a slew of guy's redshirting including another 5* talent in Carl Chunn who is the biggest of everyone at 6'5 203lbs.. Our problem isn't that we don't have a guy who can throw or guy's who can catch our problem of late is having guy's who can block long enough for those guy's to make plays"
ALLGEIER STEPS UP
With Ted Hendricks Award (Best DE) and Lombardi winner Thad Leon on IR, former 5* JR DE Antwan Allgeier has stepped up in a big way providing 6 sacks in the first 4 games as he is well on his way to a 3rd straight season with double digit sacks.
TTU LANDS FIRST COMMITMENT OF 2033
With former 5* and current starter FS Stephon Freeland set to graduate, Coach Scott went into the year looking for his replacement and he found a good one landing 5* Miles Spiegel (#12 Overall/#1 MD/#1 FS) from Oon Hill Maryland... Spiegel visited TTU during the Red Raiders blowout win over North Texas and was hooked despite having offers from both Ohio State and the Maryland Terps.
Coach Scott"We are excited to land Miles.. We have some young guy's already behind Stephon, but Miles is the type of kid who can come in and play all over the field.. We have some depth needs at CB as well, so we will see how the rest of the class pans out but as of now he most likely like Freeland won't see a Redshirt next year unless we land some other guy's we fill can feel the void."Comment

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
RED RAIDERS WIN THE SADDLE!!!
TCU entered the game (4-0), but TTU coming off a huge win over UNT in Week 4 and a "Bye" Week in Week 5 played nothing like the team that has started just (2-2) and more like the team that has won back to back Natty's..
GAME RECAP
Tied (3-3) after the 1st Quarter comes to rest, TTU comes out on fire in the 2nd Quarter scoring 4 touchdowns as they light up the scoreboard to take (31-10) lead into the locker room.
The lead would've been (38-3) but JR SS Jonathon Iverson took a INT in the endzone off Vildor and returned in 101 yds for a "Pick 6" with just 13 seconds to play in the half.
After holding TCU to another FG to open up the 2nd half scoring, TTU scores 2 more times in the 3rd to extend the lead to (45-16) officially ending Freddie Vildor's day along with most of the 1st Team Offense and Defense.
TCU manages to come out and score early in the 4th as backup QB SR Antwan Abram (79) takes over for injuried starter RS JR Marco Emanuel (83) hitting JR WR Ciante Maginn (87) for a 28 yd score.
Texas Tech SR QB Joey Heredia seeing his first live action looks pretty solid completing 5/8 pass's including a 22 yd TD to Prince Ekwonu midway through the 4th to make it (52-20). Then with 4 minutes to play TTU adds to their lead as Sean Byham adds a 14 yd TD run to make it (59-20).
TTU would get the ball back with under a minute to play, but instead of running the clock out, Coach Scott let the 2nd Team Offense get in some reps, as SR QB Joey Heredia looks to pick up a 1st down through the air, but pass is tipped and picked off by the TCU D with just 32 seconds to play.
The Horn Frogs despite down by 39 points fire back as Abrams throws a 44 yd bomb into the endzone as SR Leonard Benshaw listed at just 5'9 comes down with the jump ball..
Abrams would finish the game 10/16 for 162 yds with 2 TD and 1 INT, well rushing for 50 yds on 10 carries, including a 25 yd long.
FINAL SCORE TTU-59 TCU-27
KEY PLAYERS

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY!!
A win is a win but Texas Tech didn't make it look pretty as they did their best Clint Eastwood impersonation.
GAME RECAP
TTU would manage just 3 points in the 1st Quarter as the Red Raiders are plagued with 3 drops in 3rd down pass's resulting in a busy quarter for SR Punter Eric Covington.
Houston took the lead early in the 2nd Quarter as SR QB Gideon Zavala (83 ovr) escapes the pass rush and goes 36 yds for the score to make it (7-3).
Texas Tech is forced to settle for another FG on the next drive resulting in a (7-6) score but with less then 2 minutes to play after a Johnathan Bagget INT, TTU finds the endzone as Vildor connects with Brian Head on a 18 yd strike to make it (13-7).
Houston however armed with all 3 timeouts manages to drive 60 yds before setting on a 26 yd FG to make it (13-10) at the half.
Turnovers plagued the Red Raiders in the 3rd Quarter as Vildor throws 2 INT and Netori Morton fumbles the ball after Houston downs a punt inside the 5 yd line. With a 1st and goal Zavala hits JR TE E. Lasco (77 ov) for the score giving the Cougars the (17-13) lead.
Both teams traded INT's to open the 4th Quarter as Vidlor throws #3 and Zavala #2 but it was TTU capitalizing on the turnover as Netori Morton scores on a nice 31 yd run to give Texas Tech the (20-17) lead.
TTU would extend their lead to (27-17) as Morton caps off a 9 play drive after the Defense forces it's 5th punt of the day and then it was the Defense coming up big again as RS FR Cesar Flores forces a fumble on backup RB Sean McManus (74 ovr) to set up a Freddie Vildor to Rico Hatfield 28 yd strike as Texas Tech picks up their 3rd straight victory.
FINAL SCORE TEXAS TECH-34 HOUSTON-17
KEY PLAYERS

TEXAS TECH JUMPS TO THE LEAD
Once again Coach Scott is off to a hot start with recruiting as he signs 10 more 5* Recruits heading into Week 8 giving Texas Tech the #1 Class with a score of 226.25. Not only did Coach Scott land the #1 Overall player from the class for a 4th time but he also landed the #2, #5, #6, and #8 giving TTU 5 of the Top-10.
Coach Scott knew he wanted another RB, check.. Another QB, check a deeper Secondary, check check check, and to continue to stockpile on both sides of the line, check x 4, as well as land some high caliber Linebackers, check and check..
5* HB Rashaad Holliday (#1 Overall/#1 OH/#1 RB)

With 11-5* now, most schools would be wrapping things up with just a few need positions but TTU is far from done as they project to sign 20 players this season and currently have 5 more 5* on the radar with 2 of 4 committed to a Week 10 visit vs Oklahoma and 2 more committed to a Week 12 visit vs Oklahoma State.
Coach Scott "This year's class is loaded with talent and we are excited to continue to build this roster with the best of the best from all over the country.. I feel like this is going to be one our best class's yet. So far we have only lost out on 1 player (CB Max Cherry #9 Overall) who signed with with Georgia, but we landed both McLennan and Shakir as well as Spiegel and Walker, and we still got some DB's on the radar so I feel great about what positions we have covered so far. We have a pair of 4* OLB's so close but are in some pretty tight races with the Buckeyes and Trojans so it's going to be a battle down to the wire"Comment

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
It's been weird. It's like a Roller Coaster this year.. I just finished the Houston game and well the yards were great, more INT's and a completion % of 57.. I don't get it. Doesn't help I had 3 huge drop pass's all on 3rd down
But yet in other games he looks like the National POY and Heisman winner. Then again, GNK had some funky games like this too..
It was good to get Heredia some PT. I always feel back for my backup QB's because even back in my BSU days the only time Maddux got extended PT was when Malachi Nelson got hurt and nobody really saw much action behind GNK for 4 years.
Alsoon the recruiting. 10 5* is killer especially in key positions.

The Aggies came into the game already matching their 4 win total of last season including a pair of wins in the Big 12 over Colorado and Houston but have now dropped 2 straight as Coach Scott improves to 5-0 lifetime vs the Aggies.
GAME RECAP
TTU dominated the 1st Quarter jumping out to a (17-0) lead as QB Freddie Vildor shows off his big arm with a 62 yd TD pass to "King" Felix Addison and a 27 yd yard strike to Rico Hatfield.
TAMU got on the scoreboard early in the 2nd Quarter on a 26 yd TD run by SR RB John Hart (82 ovr) but TTU answers with a 21 yd TD from Vildor to TE Ramon Barbosa to make it (24-7) at the half.

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
GAMEDAY MAKES TRIP TO LINCOLN!!
The ESPN College Gameday crew was in Lincoln for the Top-25 matchup of #23 (4-3) Nebraska vs #2 (5-2) Texas Tech.. Both teams had spent time at #1 this season with the Huskers starting their season 4-0 before losing 3 straight.
TTU enters today's game riding a 4 game winning streak and have beaten Nebraska the past 6 meetings including 3 wins 2 season's ago, but Memorial Stadium isn't called the Red Sea for nothing as 85,000+ fan's pack the stadium each week making it the #1 toughest place to play in college football and if QB Freddie Vildor has a kryptonite it's playing Top-25 teams on the road in hostile environments.
Nebraska scored early kicking a 33 yd FG after a INT thrown by Vildor but TTU answers back with a 13 yd rushing TD by Netori Morton to make it (7-3) at the end of the 1st Quarter.
The TTU Defense continued to play great holding JR QB Brian Mangold (88 ovr) to just 68 yds passing in the 1st half as the Cornhuskers settle for a pair of FG's to take a (9-7) lead into the locker room.
TTU would take the lead early in the 3rd Quarter as Vildor hits RB Sean Byham out of the backfield on a 18 yd screen play, but TTU miss's the XPT leaving it (13-9).
With Mangold still struggling (just 6/14 81 yds 1 INT) on the day, Nebraska turned to the ground game as Mangold , SO RB L. Ibrahim (82 ovr) and FR Prince Cone (67 ovr) combine for 125 yds in the 2nd half but fail to convert on 3rd down finishing the day just 4/14 (28%)
Still leading by 4 it was TTU's turn to go to the ground game as Byham adds a 2nd score with a 12 yd TD run to make it (20-9) with 5 minutes to play in the game and then after a turnover on downs, TTU adds a 43 yd FG to go up by 2 scores with 3 minutes to play, but Nebraska turns over the ball for a 2nd time failing to convert on 4th down as TTU just takes a knee to run out the clock.

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25
TTU CONTINUES TO WIN ON AND OFF THE FIELD!!
Texas Tech won it's 6th straight game with a victory over Oklahoma in Week 10 but didn't come without a cost as star RB Netori Morton leaves early in the 1st Quarter with what was announced as a dislocated ankle that will keep him out for what is probably the remainder of the season.
This marks the 2nd time Morton has a big portion of the season after missing 5 weeks last year. Netori was leading the Red Raiders with 129 carries for 662 yds (5.1 avg) and a team high 9 TD's on the ground, well also 17 rec for 191 yds through the air.
Coach Scott"Losing someone like Netori with the caliber of player he is will hurt us. But we love Sean Byham and JJ Roberts and we are actually excited to get Jaylen Kalu some more reps and opportunities beyond special teams."
Despite not having Morton, Texas Tech didn't shy away from the run game as they post a season high 249 yds on 49 carries well scoring 2 touchdowns.
Tied (7-7) at the half and leading (24-17) at the half as QB Freddie Vildor throws 3 INT's including a "Pick 6" as JR SS Malachi Droege (85 ovr) takes it 35 yds to the house, TTU closes out the half with their own "Pick 6" as SR CB John Baggett takes it 67 yds to the house.
Leading by a touchdown TTU turns to the ground game in the 2nd half with Vildor struggling as RB Sean Byham scores his 6th rushing TD of the season to extend the lead to (31-17) early in the 3rd. Oklahoma cut the lead to (31-24) early in the 4th as SR QB Jamie Goldstein (85 ovr) hits SR WR M. Flynn (79 ovr) on a 70 yd bomb, but TTU continues to pound the ball through the 4th as JJ Robert takes over for Byham and churns out 87 yds on 18 carries (4.8 avg) leading to a 31 yd FG by Doug Khaled making it (34-24) then with less then 3 minutes to play 3rd string RB Jayden Kalu caps off a 12 play drive with a 1 yd score (his 1st TD of the season) to make it (41-24).
Oklahoma didn't go down without a fight though as the Sooners use 9 plays over 2 minutes capping if off with a 19 yd strike to JR RB James Ortiz (83 ovr) out of the backfield to make it (41-31). Oklahoma would attempt the onside kick but Brian Head would recover.
FINAL SCORE TEXAS TECH-41 OKLAHOMA-31

RECRUING UPDATE
Texas Tech continues to stockpile 5* Recruits as Coach Scott receives the commitments from 4 more players after the win over the Sooners.
5* DT Devonte Finger (#10 Overall/#1 NC/#1 DT) from Charlotte North Carolina is coming to Lubbock. The 6'6 301lb specializes in stopping the run and will pair nicely with the Pass Rush that the Red Raiders continue to build.
Finger passed on staying home and playing for UNC (#2) as well as NC State and Clemson.
5* OLB Javier Nicholson (#11 Overall/#1 NJ, #1 OLB) is listed at 6'3 263 lbs from West Orange New Jersey.. Nicholson had scholarships from Ohio State and Penn State as well as Boston College and Pitt.
5* CB Amir Stockton (#21 Overall/#2 SC/#4 CB) is listed at 6'1 183lbs from Mauldin South Carolina. Stockton was originally suppose to visit Lubbock in Week 12 but after a Week 9 visit to Clemson he had made up his mind. Nebraska also had offered and had a visit lined up for Week 13.
4* ATH Rick Kumar (#110 Overall/#15 FL/#9 ATH) is listed at 6'3 201lbs and is from Tallahassee Florida. Kumar turned down the home town "U" as well as USC and Georgia.
