FIU ADDS 4 MORE TO RECRUITING CLASS

FIU added 4* FS Jamie Hawkins 2 weeks ago.. He is now joined by 4 more 4* Recruits this week giving the Panthers 5 commitments for the 2035 class. With only 11 Seniors, we knew it would be a small class, but after edging out Ohio State for the #1 Recruiting Class last year, we expected their to be more excitement on the Miami Campus this year.

4* RT Tim Henderson (#91 Overall/#5 MI/#2 OT) is listed at 6'4 322 lbs from Walled Lake Michigan. He has scholarships offers from Virginia Tech and LSU.

4* RT Stefan Peacock (#199 Overall/#25 TX/#7 OT) is listed at 6'8 293 lbs from San Antonio TX.. He had scholarship offers to both Texas Tech and LSU.

4* CB Eric Rico (#206 Overall/#18 FL/#20 CB) listed at 6'2 183lbs from Miami FL.. He has offers from both Miami and Florida.

4* Dionte Brightwell (#232 Overall/#3 KY/#16 DE) listed at 6'6 278lbs from Alexandria KY.. He had a offer from Kentucky..

FIU no longer has any 5* Recruits left on their Big Board.. Currently FIU's Class ranks #63 Overall and #9 in the ACC..

Sadly their Stud QB got hurt playing against FIU so now he is out for the season. Which opens the door for Pounds or McCracken to get the Heisman..

The Buckeyes RB group is one of the most talented I have played with I honestly think if I had Tam for 4 years and made him my #1 RB he could've pushed for some of Tavon Logan's records which shattered every rushing record in the game.. But Jones was so good and so is McCracken and honestly Te'o is good too and so is Britton who never sees the field. Dubois was a 5* RB I moved to FB because of how good my depth is and even he turns out 4=5 yds a carry on dive runs and could probably break some bigger runs if I put him in for sweeps and stretch runs.
Oh yeah, that Eric Mensah kid has a lot of promise. Feel like now, Duke is a big basketball brand and can funnel money into NIL for Football. Sucks to see their QB get hurt, wonder if they'll fall off now.

That is a pretty insane RB room, trying to think of the best in recent history. Maybe some of the UGA & Bama rooms in the late 2010s, have some Buckeye Bias but Henderson/Judkins definitely is up there as well.

I did a sim ahead to see what job offers might open up for my Coach Dees and Duke still made the playoffs.

My RB is going to only get better too. I landed another 5* guys this year (Pryor, thinking he is going to need to be some relation to Terelle) so i will likely redshirt him and have him ready to take over for Tam and McCraken after they 🎓

Diabate had the day off against Notre Dame, just turned around and watched the boys run lol

I've had some big days rushing in the past two dynasty, but 13 YPC is insane.

Who is it looking like you'll face in the Big Ten CCG?

Part of the reason is avg was so high is because he had 2 big 60 yd runs and under 20 carries his other run he got pushed out at the 2 yd line so I had to run the short 2 yd score or his avg would've even been higher.

Hard to say right now with Oregon undefeated and Penm State and Notre Dame with 1 loss. Wisconsin is also in the mkx. It's going to come down to who beats who in the next 3weeks. When I summed ahead I beat both Oregon and PSU and it ended up a rematch with Notre Dame and they beat OSu to grab the #3 seed. OSU ended up the #5. Norte Dame then beat them again in the playoffs and went on to win the Nattty so hopefully we can change that..

Also hoping Dees gets better offers if not he could be at FiU post KP. Cause the only job offer I got that was remotely interested is South Carolina

              GAME RECAP

Ohio State honored the 17 Seniors (4 Offensive/13 Defensive) before the game.. Several Seniors (CB F. Pounds, CB N. Costanzo and FS S. Booker) were unable to play do to injuries, but everyone else got to make their final start at the "Shoe"

Pitt game into the game (5-4) looking for it's 6th win to become Bowl eligible and they played a pretty good game scoring on multiple big plays tying the game (14-14) at the end of the 1st Quarter and with 8 seconds to play in the half made it (24-21) but the Buckeyes with 1 second in the half score a last second touchdown as SO QB Nick De La Rosa throws a 64 yd Hailmary and D'Angelo Lowe comes down with the ball to make it (31-21) at the half.

The Buckeyes lost starting QB Abdul Diabate on the 2nd play of the game forcing De La Rosa back into action and the former 5* delivered throwing for a season 302 yds on the day with 2 TD and 1 INT.

Despite giving up over 650 yds of Total Offense to the Buckeyes, Pitt kept things close and with 2:45 to play in the game SR QB Miles Chamberlain (84 ovr) would score to make it a 6 pt game (41-35) but the Panthers would elect to kickoff vs trying the onside kick, but the Pitt "D" was out of gas as. Ohio State would seal the victory as the Buckeye rushing continues to attack with a 62 yd run by RS FR Viliami Te'o to set up a game clinching FG by L. Dugans with under a minute to play..

Chamberlain however was still firing away and throws a INT to SR SS Paul Barnhardt and OSU would take on a late touchdown as Frederick Tam scores his 16th of the season..

              UP NEXT

Ohio State will close out it's regular season with back to back road trips against Top-10 programs as they travel to #9 Penn State in Week 11 before taking on Oregon in Week 12.

The Penn State Nittany Lions fell to the Ducks (35-31) in Eugene in Week 10 dropping from #4 to #9. With their 2nd Big Ten loss of the season, Penn State would need to beat Ohio State and hope that the Buckeyes fall to the Ducks in Week 12 for any shot at the Big Ten Championship.. (Oregon plays at Pitt in Week 11).

              INJURY UPDATE

QB Abdul Diabate was cleared to return to action this week against Penn State, but after a solid performance by De La Rosa, who also missed 2 snaps with 3rd string DeMarco Killings feeling in, reports are Coach Miller could play both QB's to keep everyone healthier going into the final games of the year.

              RECRUITING NEWS

Ohio State landed 3 more recruits for the 2035 class bringing the total to 15 (4-5*,9-4*, 2-3*) moving up them up to #2 in the Country and #2 in the Big Ten (Wisconsin is still #1).

              4* CB Joe Schaffer (#323 Overall/#3 MO/#32 CB) 6'3 184lb from Riverside Missouri

              4* SS Sua Gupta (#115 Overall/#4 MD/#4 SS) 6'0 217lb from Hyattsville Maryland

              4* TE Jason Braham (#152 Overall/#19 TX/#3 TE) 6'5 242lb from Dallas Texas

WEEK 11 AROUND THE NATION RECAP

                FIU MAKES IT 42!!

The FIU Panthers moved to 10-0 on the season and now have won 42 straight games dating back to Week 1 of the 2033 season.

FIU beat USF on the road (51-14) as QB Kevin Pounds throws for 236 yds with 4 TD and rushes 61 yds and scores 2 more TD on the ground.

Pounds got some help on the ground by Tim Trinidad (18 carries 71 yds 1 TD) and Emari Allotey (4 carries 41 yds) well Edward Marshall (6 rec 84 yds 2 TD) and RS FR Jason Stills (6 rec 57 yds 2 TD) also had solid days in the receiving department..

Despite the win, FIU does drop to #3 in the Rankings as Oregon jumps them with the win over Penn State.

FIU will return home to face (6-4) ECU in Week 12. It will be "Senior Day" as the Panthers play their final game of the season at Pitbull Stadium.

ECU was ranked #16 going into Week 11 but lost (20-10) to Duke and with their 4th loss drops out of the Rankings.

In Recruiting News- FIU landed 4* QB Curt Bruce (#184 Overall/#8 AL/#21 QB). Bruce is listed at 6'4 229lbs from Centerville AL. He had scholarship offers from both LSU and Alabama and had a Week 14 visit scheduled with the Tigers.

                OTHER TOP-25 SCORES

Besides #4 Penn State falling to #3 Oregon (35-31) we saw several other games that could play a huge factor in this year's playoff race.

#7 Miami drops to (8-2) on the season with a 26-20 loss to UNC, dropping to #19 in the rankings.. The Hurricanes will take on #25 NC State in Week 12 before hosting #3 FIU in Week 13

#12 K-State falls 28-25) to Iowa as the Wildcats now have lost 2 in a row to the Iowa schools as the drop to #20.. K-State will look to keep a slimmer of playoff hope alive as they take on Oklahoma State in Week 12.

#15 Georgia can kiss their playoff hopes and SEC Championship hopes gone as they fall (38-17) to Clemson picking up their 4th loss of the year.. The Bulldogs are no longer ranked.

                PLAYOFF HOPES

#11 Duke keeps it's playoff hopes alive with the win over ECU moving up to #8 in the rankings.

Duke will close out it's season with games vs USF and UCF at home.

With a (21-16) in over Oregon State, Boise State now (7-3) on the season has jumped into the Top-25 at #16 as they look to make a push toward a spot in the Pac-12 title game and a spot in the playoffs.

#20 Tulane despite a (10-0) record after beating Troy 31-10 moves up just 2 spots to #18 but keeps their playoff hopes alive.

San Jose State moves to (7-3) with a 45-17 win over Hawaii and moves into the Top-25 rankings at #23 as are currently the favorites to win the MWC title and maybe make a push for a At-Large bid to the playoffs depending on what happens with the Big 12.

                  GAME RECAP

FIU came out of the gates early as SR QB Kevin Pounds continues to add his name to record books.. The former Heisman Winner and back to back National Champion breaks the FIU Single game passing record throwing for 602 yds on the day as FIU wins it's 43rd straight game.

For Pounds the win makes 60-3 in his career giving him 10 more victory's then Boise State's Kellen Moore who went 50-3 during his career.

                  Coach Dee
"Nothing against Kellen because he was a tremendous college QB but I feel like KP's career even if it ends with another loss or even 2 still should go down as the greatest when you considred he has led this team to back to back undefeated National Championships."

Moore isn't the only great college QB, who is about to see a pretty amazing record finally broken, as KP now has 18865 yds passing for his career (New ACC career record) leaving him just 353 yds shy of breaking Case Keenum (Houston) career record of 19,217.

Despite 602 yds and 7 TD's on the day. Pounds day wasn't perfect as he did throw 2 "Pick 6" INT's to ECU SR CB Rashaad Holliday (86) who actually ended the day with 3 INT's.

The Pirates also got a huge day on Special teams as SO RB Kareem Burt (76) takes a kick return 100 yds to the house giving ECU more Kick Return yards on the day then Total Offensive Yards (238 to 206).

FIU dominated the game from start to finish taking a (35-10) lead into the half was SR WR Eric Longo hauls in a 74 yds pass to end the half.

It was a career day for Longo as he finished with a new single game FIU record of 283 yds on 7 rec well scoring 3 TD's..

SR RB Emari Allotey showed off why he was recruited as a WR as he hauls in c career high 6 rec for 120 yds and 1 TD.

FR WR Jason Sills continues to have a amazing season *** well hauling in a team high 9 receptions for 116 yds with 2 TD.

SR Creed Gay also had a career day playing his last game in front of the home crowd as he hauls in 5 rec for 58 yd and a score.

Well the passing game was quite impressive the Panthers didn't forget about SR RB Tim Trinidad.. Trinidad would finished with a team high 16 carries for 97 yds and scored 3 TD's on the night giving him 876 yds on 143 yds (6.1 avg) and 13 TD's on the season and he now has 43 TD's in his career.

                  UP NEXT

FIU will close out it's season @ Miami as the Panthers take on the Hurricanes in the the King/Keyes of/to the City.

Huge day for Pounds in an incredible career. No question he's going to be the new all time passing leader.

You don't see guys with his success sticking around for year 4 very often, definitely cool to see.

Torn between hoping he goes out with a 3rd Natty or Ohio state getting another

BUCKEYES DOMINATE PENN STATE IN HAPPY VALLEY

                      GAME RECAP

The only ones Happy in Happy Valley tonight were the ones were scarlet and gray, as #1 Ohio State defeats #9 Penn State 42-0.. With the win Ohio State is 1 win away from finishing the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record and have secured a spot in the Big Ten Championship for a 4th straight season.

With the loss the Nittany Lions have officially lost any chance of making the Big Ten Championship and have dropped to #16 have all but killed any playoff dreams that had as well as the drop to 8-3 Overall.

After losing JR QB Abdul Diabate after just 2 snaps last week, Coach Matt Miller took no chances and instead rolled with SO QB Nick De La Rosa who played a pretty solid game completing 21/30 (70%) on the day well throwing for 249 yds and 2 TD.

De La Rosa got some help from the running game as the Buckeyes continue to showcase one of the best run games in the country as Cameron McCracken carries the ball 23 times for 129 yds and 1 TD, well Frederick Tam added to his TD total with 2 short scores.. OSU also got some help from JR WR Ezekiel Tandy who takes a Jew Sweep 78 yds to the house for a score as well.

Tandy was named POG as he adds 2 TD's on 4 rec and 94 yds giving him a 3 score hat trick on the day.

On the Defensive side of the ball, Ohio State held Penn State to just 117 yards of Total Offense as the Nittany Lions picked up just 3/14 3rd down conversions and punted the ball 10 times..

OLB John Perez picked up his 10th sack of the season giving him 4 straight year's of double digit sack totals.

                      UP NEXT

Ohio State will close out their season in Eugene as they head to Autzen Stadium to take on #10 Oregon..

The Ducks ranked #2 going into Week 12 lost to Pitt (24-17) ending their perfect season and a potential matchup of #1 vs #2.

The loss was a Double Whammy for the Ducks because it now opens the door for Notre Dame to sneak into the Big Ten Championship should Ohio State win and back to back loss's will most likely drop Oregon in the rankings past #12 which most likely means despite a potential (10-2) record they would miss the playoffs.

                          GAME RECAP

What was once viewed as one of the top matchups of the season (Back when Oregon was #2 and undefeated) turned into a blowout as Heisman candidate Conner Poindexter (84 Ovr) is knocked out of the game early in the 2nd Quarter.

The JR QB would complete just 1/1 pass's but did manage to score the Ducks first TD of the game before exiting. (it was just for the game, he should be available for the playoffs if the Ducks make it).

For Ohio State the Buckeyes continued to showcase the running attack as the Ducks like Penn State and pretty much the rest of the nation failed to contain McCracken and Tam, as OSU scores 7 times on the ground.

Tam's 3 TD's gives him 21 for the season and with the Big Ten Championship plus the playoffs he has a chance to improve on his Ohio State single season record. He is now 5 TD's away from beating Wisconsin's Montee Ball's career Big Ten record of 77 TD's..

For Cameron McCracken his 200+ yd performance and 4 TD's should be a huge boost to push him to #1 in the Heisman voting as he now has 1803 yds and 16 TD's on the season.

With the win Ohio State clinches their spot in the Big Ten Championship. With Notre Dame closing out their season in a non-conference matchup with Stanford, the Irish have clinched the other spot with a (9-1) conference record well Oregon drops to 7-2 in Big Ten play losing their last 2 games.

Crazy that Pounds can throw for over 600 yards and seven touchdowns, yet three picks drops him out of the Heisman race.

Has the new game had any specific trends with how it chooses its Heisman contenders? I remember you wanted your QB to win in NCAA 14, he had to be a dual-threat guy, but I'm curious if anything like that is in CFB25.

My assumption is the issue is he now has 14.INT's on the season which is double/Triple what the other QB's have.

Dual threat (rushing yards).are huge for both QB's and WR's. When factoring in the Heisman well receiving yards help RB's i don't see it being as big of a deal.

If you run a couple jet sweeps with a WR and get him like 200 yds and 5 Scores they seem to almost be a lock to.be in the Top.5. Even if their receiving # are not the best.

I still have the Miami game fo play so I think if I can have another big game and don't throw INT's he still has a chance to.climb back in the Top-5, but i am probably more focused on getting McCracken to #1, well Pounds is just trying to be ome the NCAA All time passing leader. I wojld love to get him to 20,000 which is doable with the playoff stats counting

                                GAME RECAP

Florida International has done it.. The Panthers have completed a 3rd season with a perfect 12-0 record as they have now won 44 straight games including the ACC Championship and Playoff wins.

But this win wasn't just any win.. It was a win over Miami for the "Kings Crown" and the "Keys to the City" giving the Panthers 3 straight victories over their crosstown rival.

Miami kept things close in the 1st Half as SO QB C. Thorpe (83 ovr) hits SR WR D. Culliver on a 88 yd bomb to make it (14-14) but FIU retakes the lead as Kevin Pounds finds converted WR Creed Gay on a 13 yd strike to make it (21-14) at the half.

FIU opened up with the ball and Kevin Pounds showed off his running ability with the first of 2 rushing TD's on the day and later in the 3rd Quarter would throw is 3rd TD of the day to give FIU a pretty commanding (35-17) lead.

Miami opened up the 4th Quarter with a touchdown run to cut the lead to (35-24) but Pounds 2nd rushing TD and a pair of FG's would close out the scoring for the Panthers.

For Kevin Pounds it was a great way to end the regular season as the SR QB finishes the game with 5 combined scores and over 400 combined yards as he jumps back into the Heisman discussion with a chance to showcase his skills one last time before the voting with the ACC Championship Game..

With KP's 342 yds he is now has 19,207 yds and is 11 yards shy of breaking Case Keenum's record of 19.217 Career Passing Yards...
