You can’t prevent it. I cut the added players but there is one exception.

The one rule that I use is that if the player that the computer has given me is from in-State he is eligible to be kept.

Usually, it’s a 2 or 3 star player that I didn’t recruit that I look at as a walk on.

Started 0-3 at Ohio, went on to win 11 straight (many of which being really competitive, including a 2 point win over Buffalo, and some blowouts; a good mix of results), finishing with a MAC championship & a GoDaddy bowl win. All in-game issues that really bothered me are fixed and this has already been one of the most fun dynasties I've had in years.

Decided to take the HC job at K-State, mostly out of my desire to test this setup against tougher competition more regularly than what the MAC schedule could offer. So far, so good - first game is a last second hail mary loss to Texas A&M in the Cowboys Kickoff, 52-49. Lead changes occurred many times throughout the game, including 3 in the final two minutes.

Injuries: A tale of two seasons already. Season 1 at Ohio - no major injuries to speak of, just in-game stuff here and there. Season 1, Game 1 at K-State - Lose my #2 WR for 6 weeks with a dislocated elbow.

Wandering thought, but I've been actually pondering the idea of actually having seperate slider sets for each conference you play in... Like a specific set for ACC, SEC, MAC, etc. Mainly this thought comes from the wide range of conferences I play in using a single slider set, and how differently each conference game seems to play out.

IE for this idea, for SEC, make the defense tighter for both CPU/HUM, and in a Big 12 set, make the defense weaker and easier passing offense, etc.

Which, is a lot more realistic for college ball.
this is imo my favorite thing of having fatigue off. even if they're down in the second half, they still run the ball and try to keep balanced, which makes you wonder if there's some sort of fatigue bug that keeps the CPU from running so much in the second half when you have fatigue on. becomes night and day.

You guys are spot on. Another thing I've noticed is the amount of fumbles I now have and how realistic they look. I'm not sure whether it's Fatigue Off, No Skill Trees, or the combination of the two. I suspect it's mostly Fatigue Off because of how powerful the CPU hits look, which is why I say they look realistic. Big hits from star players who no longer have their energy penalized at a rate faster than the USER's players. The sack fumbles I've had against me have looked incredible.

"Chess Match" really is the best way to describe the play with this setup. Before this, under any settings/sliders, I had to use a bevy of self-imposed limitations or "house rules" just to keep it remotely close and interesting. The feeling I get from trying to do what I want to do (and what I used to dominate with) and having the CPU shut me down, forcing me to adapt and alter play-calling, is so refreshing. I truly feel like I purchased a new game without paying a dime. It has that new game feeling.

I think you rascals have convinced me to try this with fatigue off. Maybe I'll just have to use more formation subs

One thing I like to do as personal preference, and was doing before I ever turned fatigue off, is practically treat my HBs like basketball subs, I have my starter in for the 1st and 2nd quarter, sub in the second stringer for the entirety of the 3rd quarter, then put my starter back in for the 4th. Usually leaves me with my starter getting 20+ carries, second string 5 to 10.

Just made the decision to turn injuries off as well. I really hate this one, even more than fatigue, but just like fatigue - I don't believe equality can be found between the USER & CPU. Therefore, it fits right in with everything else I believe in regards to elements of the game being designed for the USER to win. Like most of you, I've played hundreds of (if not capping a thousand) games on this edition, since 2013. In all that time, I have never had a season ending injury for the USER. Am I a nut-job conspiracy theorist? Probably, but I think I actually have a case with this one.

Instead of turning injuries off I would drastically lower your players injury ratings.

play on heisman w/ default sliders

never had much of an issue with gameplay. always felt when sliders were adjusted it became a little imbalanced.

coach and coordinator skills can make a huge difference once maxed out too.

I have never edited player attributes. I think it would become a rabbit hole, for me. One thing would lead to another, then another... I respect those who can find a stopping point though.

When you guys do this, do you see significant impacts, primarily in skill positions? That seems to be where the CPU really gets cheated. I just had my only snoozer all year, in my bowl game , because LSU's QB was out for the season. Now that I think about it, the CPU's injury rate might be quite excessive at times. I always just thought about the USER's lack of injuries. I would find myself just as inclined to edit all of the CPU's players up. Now there I go, rabbit hole lol.

You're lucky. Most of us have to put in quite a bit of work to create a playable game.

Understandable. It could lead down a rabbit hole. For me, it can vary season to season, but basically every year I have at least 2-3 long term in juries (greater than 5 weeks) with some being season ending.
