I'm not 100% sure that this is due to these changes, but my record in my current season is 2-2. In the games that I did this, i'm 0-2 and the CPU finishes. In the games I didn't do the reset, obviously i'm 2-0. I'm Virginia, with a roster that is edited by parts in the family of Hellisan's player development system, currently about 75 OVR and around there offensively and defensively. I played #3 Auburn and got blown out 42-7. Then played NC St, and won 26-17, then played Syracuse and won 24-10, those two games not doing the reset and the CPU fell off in the 2nd half. Then played 4-0 Louisville and we went score for score the entire game until 1:32 left in the game when the super simmed extra point was missed and lost 37-38. Louisville's offense never slowed down and the defense didn't give up easy plays all of a sudden in the second half. So far i'm pretty excited about stumbling across this. I'm looking forward to the weekend to test this over the course of an entire season, but so far, i'd say it definetly works.

Something to try: start with fatigue On, then switch it off at the half, run a play and switch it back on. I tried it, and it seems to be like a hard reset. CPU goes back to their players playing to their ratings, and you get subbing/injuries.

I have yet to try young22’s suggestion. I can say this: with coaching trees empty, I am finally seeing penalties. I had several in my first game, I think my last one was cleaner with only two.
I even had an intentional grounding. It was borderline at best, and made the same throwaway many times before without a flag. So coaching trees definitely impact penalties.

If I do this, I may turn it off and on in the 2nd quarter. With fatigue on, that is always when I would pull away. Maybe even do it for each quarter? It makes sense it would reset their stamina and fatigue to 100% each time, like they just started the game.

Yeah, fatigue off has always been about way more than just the "second half CPU collapse" for me. It just totally changes the way they play, even from the opening snap. I'm of the opinion that the CPU is penalized from kickoff, as far as fatigue is concerned, at a much faster rate than the user. Again, even from the first snap, before anyone has even had a chance to naturally fatigue. I know, and agree, it doesn't make logical sense, but I've seen too many results to deny it. I never had the CPU offense have a big play against me on the first play of the game, with fatigue on. With fatigue off, I've not only had big plays against me on the first play, but they've scored on me several times. Other things like scoop-n-scores, tipped passes caught and ran in for 6, CPU ball carriers actually hurdling and making smart moves - I never/hardly ever saw these things with it on.
So, long story short: I definitely want the effects to apply all game long.
Edit: And Bullet, you're spot on with the penalties being heavily affected by the skill tree. I only wish the CPU could have the same effect placed on them without clearing their other skill tree perks.Last edited by Tuscaloosa; 07-13-2018, 09:26 PM.Comment

Re: The Game Outside of the Game - Issues and How to Fix Them
Here are a couple of good threads on the subject. This first contains some detailed info on the differences between USER and CPU player progressions. Might be helpful if you want to come up with your own system.
The second is Hellisan's manual random number method. In any event, I'm pretty sure you will have to do something manually. I don't think there is any quick fix for this issue.Comment

Re: The Game Outside of the Game - Issues and How to Fix Them
You can't turn it off, but you can reset/clear all 4 (2 for HC, OC, DC). This can only be done during the "Custom Conferences" stage. Just go into the skill trees menu and hit triangle or Y (assuming it's the same on 360) on each one. Some people choose to leave on the HC's recruiting tree, but I've enjoyed the added challenge of clearing them all.Comment

I could've sworn that I had to reset a new OC a while back. I check it every year anyway, OCD style.Comment

As a HC I had to reset my game perks one manually though
