    Re: Let's Talk Recruiting ( CFB 25)

I'm not sure if anyone has said this already (only read first 2 pages), but I just realized Bowl Games on CFB25 might suck just like they do in real life. If they implemented the ability to enter the portal before the bowl game, we could see a bunch of backups playing in 95% of the bowl games.

I'm kinda sad about that and I'm a grown man 😭

It honestly sounds fun to me, especially if it can have an impact on player development. Sounds fun to get a chance to play with younger players in live action.

I don't know if we are going to have the ability to edit incoming freshmen but if so, I got something big planned to increase that realism. Fingers crossed.

This is the one to read if for dynasty info. I'll come back when things cool down and share my 2 cents worth

After getting a first look at ’EA Sports College Football 25’, here’s everything we learned about Dynasty mode, like the recruiting process.

            Re: Let's Talk Recruiting ( CFB 25)

This could be more then we have ever dreamed of for year 1. The highlights I'm seeing remember this didn't come from EA officially so keep that in mind

            Recruiting

Skill trees are in and one option is recruiting based

If you fire a coach he has a talent tree so this could hurt your own roster and recruits.

Week 0 is in the game so you can recruit a week before playing

14 pitch grades (so goodbye points system I guess)

dealbreakers are in he talks them up with stuff like playing time

Athletes are back and can play 2 or 3 positions.

A screen shows what players at risk of transferring (something I wanted)

Offseason your hours will be linked to both recruits and transfers

            Early signing period is in

No more of week 1 fully scouting the player. You will not know the full skill tree (ratings?) until they visit

            Talks about recruiting being tougher

Official visits - opponent matters and complementary visits are back

Players in portal can remember you recruited them

You can Encourage players to enter the portal (another of my request)

offseason persuade to come back to school is back and will be portal stuff mixed in

            no NIL

            Losely tied to recruiting

32 user controlled teams can work offline creating some fun options

            Can start as OC/DC

OC/DC has skill trees as well

            no export draft class

            player editing is very limited

            stats/records are back

I forgot where I read this but it was mentioned somewhere that if you recruit a player and miss out and later on he hits the portal, he might remember that you recruited him initially which could help in getting him from the portal.

Now stuff like that is awesome, it's something I didn't even really think of and I'm glad they did.

Yeah Uproxx and Athletic mentioned that. Pretty cool little thing.

Its details like that why the dynasty I post on here could come in handy. That way I go back and look at who I recruited when they hit the portal. It also adds some strategy and maybe keep on going after a guy that you're not going to get for the future.

Mills says they are companies in the game for recruiting, but couldn't say who yet. This would mean the rankings its branded ON3 or 24/7 or something. This was at the 1:10:52 mark of his twitch stream.

Quick Q - I tried to read/watch as much coverage as I could yesterday, but might have missed some stuff.

Did we hear anything if recruiting is still seniors, or is there a way to start building relationships with younger HS generated players.

The 4k players per year leads me to believe it’s the former, but this board knows a lot, so figured I’d pose the question.

Nothing so far has been mentioned about recruiting HS JRs

Another theory I wonder if we get multiple companies in the game with different recruiting rankings instead of just 1. This lines up with what 2K has done and on the stream sound like he said "companies" not "company". I also wouldn't think this would be a hard thing to do.

One silly/fun question and another more serious type one using Madden's draft prospects as kind of the base.

They were two incredible cheesy (but super fun) prospects the 350+ lb with elite strength NT and the 6'9 WR. I wonder if those will carry over to CFB25?

Will we have scheme fit prospects like zone/man coverage prospects? In madden you could tell by a pink logo type thing. It helped out the most for me with OL as even the player was just the base 50% scouted I could tell if it was the power archetype that fit my scheme

I really do hope we have a scheme fit system in recruiting. It would really help dictate which recruits I want to target since there will be 4000 recruits. I also hope to see a Recruiting Pitch be Scheme Fit. I want some recruits(and transfers) to prioritize scheme fits . Also, want to see schools prioritize scheme fits as well. It would be cool for a recruit to have a preferred scheme that you have to scout and find out. Let's say a recruit has a high Scheme Fit priority and it's Air Raid, if I'm a Spread Run Option team, than that should be a deal breaker. Incorporating Schemes in recruiting and transfer portal, would help ensure that teams have rbe right personnel to run their schemes

I do imagine we have those cheesy builds in recruiting and that they'll likely be 5 star recruits

The "scheme fit" opens a few more differences and could affect the player's overall ratings. We have a WR who is "built" for the Air Raid. (NOTE: This is speculation of a possibility in this game or in the future.) He is rated 92 overall, but that is a generic rating. He could be a 96 in an Air Raid offense and an 87 in a Flexbone or Spread Option. With the report that a player may transfer to follow the coach who recruited him, he could also transfer because of a scheme change. Potentially hiring the wrong coordinator could undermine the rebuild you've been working on for several seasons.

I think this could solve something this game has had wrong for a long time. Many times in the past I'd have to compete with an option team for a Pocket Passer. It is highly frustrating because you knew the player and the program were not a match, but the teams are equals on the field and perhaps they're closer to his home. You just can't manage to get him to see you as #1. He's going to run more than he throws and be mediocre if you can't sign him and a potential Heisman candidate if you can sign him.
