    Got mine set up last night..
    Deleted tune then re-downloaded and seen no issues with the CPU QB. Dolphins first drive Tannehill did run on me once up the middle and I though.. "Oh crap"..
    Turns out that was the only run he made other than running a few read options.

    Did all coaches to CPU, set sub in/out and went to regular season week 1.

    I use my own sliders and always have set up to make it a bit harder for me but not enough to make it unrealistic.

    I had a great time!
    I struggled on the ground (Skins me vs Dolphins) but I'm going at least 3 weeks before seeing if I need to adjust but I don't think I will have to.

    Game was very exciting.

    Dolphins (They averaged just under 6 yards a carry as I struggled to stop run) held lead most of the game but the most I was down was 9 I believe.

    Came down to the last drive. I had to punt with just under 3 minutes left, down by 2.
    I held them and used all 3 time outs.
    I ended up converting 3 3rd downs on the last drive (Man was that nerve racking!) and kicked a 30+ yard field goal as time expired for the win.

    Tannehill threw 1 costly int in the back of the endzone but other than that he did well.

    The most surprising thing was there was decent DL pressure.
    We had 3 sacks (2 by DL and 1 by LB) and they had 2 (1 DL and 1 LB) plus many hurries and pressures.


    We all know there are still some issues and we really shouldn't have to have work arounds etc.. but as is the game was all around fun and is very enjoyable.

      I find it amazing that about 5 people have asked what this is fixing and no one has responded. I've read through every thread and I see nothing that clearly states what the problem is and what the reason is for removing the tuner set. There's about 7,000 write ups on how to control all 32 teams, but nothing stating why this needs to be done.

        1) deleting the tuner and re-downloading fixes the issue where CPU QB's were taking off running for no reason.

        2) 32 team control removes Dynamic Drive Goals so your teams confidence doesn't skyrocket

          You guys rule. Seriously. Just wanted to say that. I think I understand everything about this except one thing. Why delete the tuner set? Does that affect drive goals or do you just not like how the tuner set plays?

                On auto pilot you will. The problem is auto pilot seems to be glitched. I did 5 test runs with the draft and 2 of them I saw trades and the other 3 nothing.

                  For those creating and retiring coaches game by game, are we concerned that we may eventually run out of coaches? I'm testing this approach and it fires the current coach and then when you retire that teams coach, the team hires a different/new coach. Not sure what happens to the original coach.

                  For this approach I click R3, create new character, coach, create new coach, play game, retire coach

                    I went through the process described in the original post but I now realize that I didn't use the most recent roster update. So how do a do this again, with the current roster update, and load the save file in which I set up a 32 team CFM?

                      All over... If you want the newest roster you have to start the whole thing over since you select the roster at the very start.

                        I never thought that anything could make me "control" all 32 teams, but here we are. For me it was easier just to make the 32 characters and let the CPU control all the teams but my Rams. The CPU controlled teams are still putting players on the block and inquiring about players on my team.

                        Drive goals are gone, so no crazy confidence bumps, there was nothing wonky gameplay wise in the first game so everything looks golden.

                        BIG UPS to everyone who figured out all this stuff. You guys saved CFM from going Hindenburg.

                          So the only thing auto pilot would really do is allow you to faster advance the draft? Having set all teams to autopilot its a time consuming process.


                          I have 3 files atm saved and waiting to figure what to play.


                          I have:


                          32 all setup w/ auto pilot
                          32 all setup w/o auto pilot
                          1 team delete coach each week (doesn't seem to work)

                            The only thing you will have to do is every draft pick you will need to press "Next User Pick" for each team to have the CPU draft a player for each team you do not want to control and run till it get;s to your team.

                            Off you go man!


                            As far as Trading when you initially set up your CFM many teams will have various players on the trade block to start the pre-season. This triggers trade activity among all teams including yours! So do not sim more than one week at a time after each game you play.

                            The workaround to igniting trade activity is two fold. And here are the two methods I will employ to see trading (which is to often in the NFL but it's fun to have to spice up your CFM).

                            Taking ownership of trade activity for each team method:

                            1. For each team I will generate a random number between 0-100 at this site https://www.random.org.

                            0-33 I can scan each team to find any combination of the following:

                            Player and Pick
                            Pick
                            Player & Player
                            Player

                            Look at the team needs list in the trade block screen and look for a player on the top or right next to the top of their list to trade for.


                            If trading for a player rated 85 or above - must send 1st round pick or player of same rating or above or 1st rounder and player rated 75 or above.

                            Player rated below 85 higher than 75 - 1st rounder or player rated within 5 points of player asking for.

                            No trading for rookies or trading of your own rookies or any 2nd year players. Period.

                            No trading for starting QB's rated 80 or above period.

                            Basically don't rape the CPU what's the fun in that?

                            Once you find a trade partner and put a package that benefits both teams generate another random number.

                            0-50 the trade is executed

                            51-100 - talks fell apart and no trade for the initiating team the rest of the season.


                            The minimal work trade method.

                            1. Generate a random number for each team like above


                            0-33 - put any player except a starting QB, rookie or 2nd year player on their trade block 34-100 no trade block.

                            When you put players on teams trade blocks trade activity will happen.

                            Do this during the first 3 weeks of the season though because after week 5 trade deadline hits. And no more trading.

                            With 32 team control you do give up the chance of in draft trades initiated by the CPU. A small price to pay for:

                            No dive goals
                            No hyper confidence increases
                            A robust off-season in free agency if you decide to use my random number in-season resign method
                            ability to play any game each week and as many games as you want besides your main teams game
                            Far more immersive knowledge of what's going on around the league


                            Have fun with it guys. Once you get the hang of it.......you won't play any other way.


                            I thought we wanted to not do game prep? Is it safe to do for CPU and user? I was under impression game prep would assist in driving confidence to higher levels as well.

                              Do you use the current coach or are you creating a new coach each time?
                              I've been using the current coach & retiring him after the game and he still remains with the team after I give up control.
