Damn Randall threw that ball about 60 yards... in the real life video.

My memory playing tricks on me. I didn't remember the play in the endzone. This is the first time I seen that play in close to 20 years.

He is throwing it with his momentum still going back a little, which makes the (I counted 74 yards-From his 17 to the 9) length of the pass over-done by probably 10 or 15 yards. As stated before, when you're in the QB challenge, you have an open field, a running lane to crow hop and fire with all of your momentum into the throw, so yeah, I can see it being over done. Maybe the programming had him throwing with all of his momentum, but the animation didn't correspond correctly.

How can you say the QB is way too accurate when the video you show has him over throwing his WR? Is it because he was in the same line?

But, I love how someone takes one video and bases the whole game off of that one video. This can be done with any sports game. Take any basketball game and you will see the occasional ball go through the glass and into the basket. Play any baseball game and you will see balls change direction without ever making contact with the bat. Take any football game and you will see extremely long throws or runners that are way too fast or balls that change direction in mid-air. Every game has flaws, but don't take one flaw, that isn't that big and turn it into a game changing/labeling flaw.

I don't know if the OP is a fan of the other football game trying to make a point, but if so, the same types of video exist for that other game.

I agree it's overdone, but it you think that makes the game arcadey, then every game is arcadey in some way shape or form:

You can't change the direction of a ball without it actually hitting the bat. And, on top of that, no pitcher/person can change their direction completely and make that throw they way Bedard does.

It's very suspect if you're point is that people with any QB and Rice can do it but you can't even make a video of it with defense on the field.

As mentioned, you might as well stop playing video games if you're looking for the perfect one, but if you're trying to tell me that sending an OLB in his face and dropping a safety back in coverage for double team help, that pass would be completed (which it wasn't even in your example) then prove it.

I'm not defending anything... don't think others are either. I could make a vid of me making a PB&J sandwich that would be just as valid as the one you just posted. All you proved was that in practice mode (on what level was that?) with no defense, using max passing, you can make Randall overthrow a WR who's 70 yds downfield.

Is the problem that they made him overthrow him b/c he went off his back foot or that he can throw it that far? We don't know... lots of things we don't know b/c you removed them from the equation for this bad example.
