Maybe the NFL should worry more about stuff like this clock issue than getting SBNation and Deadspin's Twitter accounts shut down because they're providing their sorry asses free advertising with gifs. I wish football wasn't such an entertaining sport or some other league could realistically challenge them so this league could get what's coming to them.

Re: NFL Off Topic
They do. That's how they feed their writers, with lots of BS "stories" and "articles" that keep click-baiting people on the league's website.
They do have their own sports journalism crew, and sports journalism is all about controversy, non-stories and finding something that no one cares about and turning it into a big topic.PSN ID/Street Fighter V Fighter ID: razorkaosComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
ESPN is so stupid, this is why so many people hate them. They are literally full of morons analyzing football. Their latest power rankings have the Falcons ranked 3rd, jumping 3 spots. The Bengals didn't move, still at #5 and the Cardinals actually DROPPED 2 spots. Seriously is this real life? I know it's not news that ESPN is full of morons but this is a new low for them.

Upset over ESPN power rankings? Where do the Bengals rank in the AP and Coaches polls? A new low for them? Where have you been over the past 12 months?Comment

You see what I'm getting at? The Bengals disrespect is one thing, but these are just all around the worst I've ever seen.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
For whatever they are worth, FiveThirtyEight's NFL ELO ratings also have Cincinnati as fifth-best as well.
It's worth noting that the ELO ratings can't shift dramatically from a single week's results due to how the mathematics behind them work, thus Seattle's presence in the top five of these rankings even though they sit at 2-3 record-wise. If the Seahawks truly aren't a good team, then the ELO ratings will correct over time.Comment

I don't see what's so preposterous about chucking Atlanta up to third.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Thoughts on this?
For the NFL, putting pink on players’ uniforms is part of outreach to women during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams, it’s more personal than that.
Williams lost his mother to breast cancer, and he says he contacted NFL vice president of football operations Troy Vincent to seek permission to keep wearing pink on his uniform after October ends. But Vincent said pink is only to be worn in October, and there are no exceptions.
“He told me no. I’m assuming they are telling everybody else no as well,” Williams told ESPN.
Williams, who wears his hair long enough that it hangs out from his helmet, says he has researched the NFL’s rules and can find no rules about hair color. So he plans to keep the pink he’s been wearing in his hair.
“The hair, it’s part of the uniform from the standpoint of being tackled, but it’s not specific on what color it has to be or if it has to match the uniform,” he said.
Williams isn’t only supporting breast cancer awareness with his hair. He’s also supporting breast cancer awareness with his money: Williams made a donation to fund mammograms for 53 women, in memory of his mother, who died at the age of 53#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
The NFL has some stupid regulations. This is just one of those.
It also shows everyone that "pinktober" is just a way the NFL found to look good. If they were really committed to breast cancer awareness, it shouldn't be an issue to allow a player to keep using pink throughout the season.
It's just one more publicity stunt by the NFL, and it shows...PSN ID/Street Fighter V Fighter ID: razorkaosComment
