The bad thing about it is the other side of the transaction - this was part of a sting operation on a huge sex slave ring. But that's a whole other discussion.

This is bad all around, as much as people wanna joke. Prostitution and human trafficking are inexorably linked.

TMZ reporting the video is graphic, so not sure how Kraft and the NFL makes it out of this one .... if the more famous person is Goodell or a player, may just have to shut them down.

"inexorably" is a great 10 dollar word.

So yeah, after doing further research on this story, this ain't no small fry thing. If that video comes out (and knowing how TMZ gets these things it will) it's going to be a baaaaad day for the NFL. That's the least of Kraft's worries though, this was a major sex ring he got himself involved in. This is the kind of thing that leads to a person's ruination.

Apparently, the bust was the culmination of an 8 month-long, multi-agency investigation that involved the Homeland Security Department into a sex trafficking ring stretching all the way to China, so yeah, this is much more than some garden variety "guy solicits hooker for sex" story.

Could be on the verge of another Catholic Church/#MeToo-style explosion of buried secrets, if what Adam Schefter reported on ESPN is correct.

Wouldn't they have to be charging him with some kind of knowledge of the ring or running the ring for most of that to matter? If they're just charging him with solicitation, and he says he had no knowledge that the women were here because of sex trafficking, does it matter that it's part of a larger sex ring or does he just deal with his solicitation charge and move on?

Just deals with his solicitation charge and moves on in a legal sense. But the stigma on this will always follow him around.

Point taken, but I find it hard to believe that Kraft wouldn't know what he was dealing with here. Maybe he wouldn't know the magnitude of it but he'd definitely have an idea that it isn't some ho hum operation either.

Legally it's just a solicitation charge but the stigma of this from a public opinion POV is huge.
