Looks as though the Steelers made some history last night...

Steelers have made the worst kind of NFL history
As mentioned on the Amazon postgame show, the Steelers became the first team in league history with a record above .500 to lose consecutive games to teams at least eight games below .500. While the opportunities for such an accomplishment undoubtedly don’t pop up very often, the Steelers found a way to pull it off.

Damn, former Titans tight end Frank Wycheck fell and died at his home Saturday. He was only 52.

He's probably best known for being the one who threw the lateral across the field on the Music City Miracle.

That's truly said. I was a huge fan of his. That Titans team was just tough. McNair and Him. That's [emoji47]

It seems officiating may be or should be the hot topic for the winter meetings.

As NFL team owners head to Dallas for winter meetings, the league needs to address its officiating meltdown

Officiating is never going to be 'perfect' - and, yes, I complain about missed/blown calls too (*cough* missed horse collar/roughing the passer on Reddick of Philadelphia against the Bills *cough*) - but using this weekend's (in which the Kansas City player was obviously in the neutral zone) hissy fit/tantrum by Mahomes/Reid as a springboard for change or this article is comical.

So the refs should only make the calls when it benefits certain teams (*cough* crybaby Mahomes *cough) or try to get all calls right?

The former is indefensible and the latter will never happen even with more refs on the field. They are subject to error and mistakes like every other human on Earth.

And, yes, I'll complain about them ****ing up a call later in the season cause I'm human too.

Some folks in the media real have a hard-on to making him the 'new Tom Brady'/'Golden Boy' and will tolerate poor behavior/sportsmanship to do it.

Officiating hasn’t been good. Inconsistency has been my biggest complaint.

It will never be fixed until they go to full time refs so they can talk about it all they want but nothing will change (because they aren’t going to full time refs).

                      Pretty much.

Not to mention, this same noise will get amplified in a month when playoffs start. Folks will be acting like Officiating is as “bad as it’s ever been” like they do every year.

Yeah, he was known to throw temper tantrums on the sidelines and such. The national media is giving Mahomes a pass just like they would Brady.

Brady had some ugly tantrums like Mahomes. That’s exactly who I thought of. Chiefs have been so good the last 5-6 years, they don’t lose that much and when they do it’s not in a situation like that. Didn’t take any shine off him IMO, I still much prefer Mahomes to Brady… hope I don’t regret putting that out in cyberspace….

I'm lowkey tired of the Chiefs fans crying about calls going against them when calls have been going in their favor all year long, especially the BS "roughing the passer" call in Green Bay at the end of that game.

Do coaches have a say in if they are traded? I imagine yes, or at least that’s how it usually goes. Might not officially have a say.

Didn’t realize we’ve had a few over the last couple years, Arians from AZ to TB and Payton from NO to DEN. I always remember the Gruden and of course, Belichick and Parcells stuff.

Belichick probably does need to move on and so do the Patriots. They can’t play out the next who knows how many years trying to chase the wins record for BB with the state of the Pats the last couple years.

I gotta wonder… if McCarthy chokes in Dallas again… but i don’t know if BB and Jerry Jones could ever co-exist. Trying to think of teams that feel like they’re a coach away from getting over the hump. Shoot, my Bills could be in the mix. I don’t know how I feel about that!

I’m sure we’ll have the next few months to speculate…
